Chapter 260 - Conjectures

At this moment, unexpectedly there was someone behind the container boxes blocking the way to the bridge. Airon's group of more than twenty people raised their weapons and aimed at the place where the sound was coming from. Then they saw a window of sorts in the large iron box, and a young man's face was slightly exposed.

"We are just passing through, but we would be interested in helping you. Since we are in this place, we can trade some items you need for your more plentiful goods. Don't worry, we have plenty of supplies. If you have any needs, we can talk it over."

Airon was standing to one side of Merle, who seemed impatient for such unnecessary events. He said he could open the door to that shelter and gather all the survivors, those who want to join his group live and the others die.

"There seems to be quite a few people!"

The person at the window looked around, as if he had exchanged some words with other people, and then another young man appeared at the small window.

"We don't need any kind of deal, you can be on your way back."

Airon instructed his people to go back inside the vehicles first, but he walked to the side of the modified RV, and then Glenn moved the RV and the products that were mostly food appeared in sight of those people in the shelter.

The supplies that he normally loaded into modified RVs appeared in front of these people who were hiding, and Airon, who was on the side, began to speak.

"Are you telling me you don't want to think about it? We are not really interested in violence, we have medicine, food and weapons that we can trade with. If they have a problem, we can give them any kind of help, as long as you have what to pay for it with."

The person at the window who heard these words looked at the convoy outside with some surprise on his face. Then, intentionally or not, his gaze slid to the cars that had a machine gun behind the modified RV.

"We don't need it! Don't you understand that I just told you to get out of this place?"

Alex smiled nonchalantly, then shook his head and said, "We've driven a long way here, and we'll lose a lot of what we spent if we leave this way!"

The eyes of the person at the window changed and for the surroundings before he picked up a rifle and leaned it out of the window as his tone turned cold. "I said it's not necessary, are you deaf?"

"That's your decision, then we're leaving."

Seeing the firm attitude of these people, Airon simply closed the door to the side of the modified RV and looked at Merle beside him.

Merle had not participated in a battle for a long time due to his wound, and had no opportunity to make any moves when he was scouting the surrounding area. Now that his wound had largely healed, he decided to come with him as soon as he returned, and after hesitation Merle said, "Airon, I feel something is wrong with this place, the boy's voice tell us a lot of things."

"Mmm, if they are not friends they will be enemies, it will be their bad luck to reject us like this. Go and tell everyone to be vigilant and prepared."

After saying that, Airon got into the modified RV and sat in the co-driver's seat as he signaled Glenn to get ready to leave this place, but at the same time he was lost in thought as he thought about something.

There were two different types of groups long before Airon came to this place, who had two completely different attitudes towards Negan's demands in a later time period.

The original play did not elaborate on the Oceanside situation. Since the emergence of this force, the men there had been wiped out by the saviors, so people use this incident as an excuse to accuse Negan of his crimes.

And Airon suddenly realized another very important thing, why only the men and boys of Oceanside were wiped out? What was it that they did to the Saviors for it to even kill the children? Was Negan someone who gave the order personally?

In the original story, Negan has always said that they don't kill children and that human resources are just resources, and the important thing is that they feared him so that his leadership would not be affected. But even when Rick and his group killed at least dozens of survivors of Negan's group, he still didn't completely destroy Rick's group, but as is his habit he killed Glenn and Abraham to give his group an example of what it means to stand up to him. It can be said that his personality has not changed, and he has always been a person attached to his beliefs.

You should know that everyone in the Savivors goes by the name Negan, including Rick's team. They didn't understand at first that the name Negan has become the name of all the Saviors.

Redirecting their memories to the garbage station massacre in the aftermath, Airon has his assumptions who link Simon as the man who killed all those people, and to such an extent that the women who managed to escape were so scared that they did not want to fight with the Saviors at first. But for everyone, Negan's name was branded in their minds.

Of course, these are just Airon's guesses. It would be fine if Simon killed them, but if Negan himself killed these people, then he has to think about why.

It's not to whitewash Negan's actions. He has to admit the crime of forcibly taking other people's wives and killing people at will, but he has to admit that Negan is not the kind of evil man who can order such a massacre, at least that they don't bother him like Rick did. This makes Airon have to consider if there is something special that these people did.

Originally, he was very puzzled, but now, seeing the other party's reaction, he couldn't help but begin to think of some strange conjectures.

Just as the convoy was about to turn around and leave, another man's voice came out of his ears.

"Wait a minute!"

The modified RV stopped abruptly and Airon looked at the person in the window.

"What the hell are you doing?"

The man didn't answer, but turned his head and said a few words to the side,

Then his expression became a little agitated, and the two sides seemed to be arguing.

The two argued for a full five minutes before the man who first appeared looked this way again.

"Can we talk?"

Glenn, who is next to Airon, pointed out to him not to trust these people.

Patting the bulletproof vest on his body, indicating not to worry, Airon grabbed his radio, "Get ready, I'll come out and see what they want!"

"Come out and we'll talk!"

Not long after the words fell, a gap opened in the iron box from the inside to the outside, and a small door appeared that could only accommodate one person.

The other party held a shotgun in his hand. He looked very young, average looking and not too tall, but Airon at all times sensed that there was a hint of concern on the other party's face that did not involve him at all.

The two walked to the edge of the forest, the man looked Airon up and down first, then nodded slightly and held out his hand.

"I'm Stevens!"

"Call me Airon!"

After approaching, he found that the man's coat was covered with patches, and his pants had a large hole in them, there was a layer of calluses and some wounds on his exposed knees.

"Let's talk about that. Since you guys aren't willing to trade resources as is evident, what else can we do?"

Stevens' eyes lingered on the three cars behind him for a moment and he asked with some uncertainty, "What you said before, can you provide any assistance?"

"Yes, we are a very professional team."

Stevens' expression was a little hesitant, he seemed to be worried about something, but when he looked up again, as if he had made an important decision, his gaze became much firmer.

"I want to make a deal with you!"

"I'd like to know more about it..."

Stevens unconsciously looked around and whispered as if afraid of being discovered.

"I'm hoping to hire your team and help me deal with a bunch of people."
