In a gymnasium, Alicia was punching a boxing bag while thinking about everything that had happened so far, the things she had lived and done just to survive.
Spal! boom!
The things that were to be done and what had to be fought to keep a place safe were nothing compared to surviving. She had taken lives just to defend her own, she had changed just to keep living and suffering in this world that apparently did not await a safe place.
If she had not met Airon at the Hospital, she would not have realized that the Vultures would try to attack her community. When she thinks about it, she can't help but imagine her family in a sea of fire and that was something that really made her angry.
Just as she was about to stop, a familiar voice was heard behind her, "If I were you I'd save energy for later, there's no telling what could happen at any moment."
Alicia didn't have to look away to know it was Airon, so with a sweaty face she said, "I'll be able to manage if that happens, don't you think?"
"That I don't doubt, are you all right?" Airon walked towards Alicia and asked her with some hesitation.
"I'm just training, we have to be well prepared for this world after all." Alicia shook her head and kept hitting the sack.
"Maybe I could teach you some moves!"
Airon walked over to the mats in the room and threw a few punches in the air, showing that he knew some interesting moves for combat.
"Won't your wounds open up?" Alicia was puzzled, but a smile formed on her face as she watched Airon appear to be fine.
"Oh, doubt it though, I can beat you."
"Hmm, then I must prove to you that I am not so weak." Saying this, Alicia took off her boxing gloves and slowly walked towards Airon with her fighting guard raised.
"Haha, I'll show you some skillful moves..." Just as Airon was boasting, Alicia ran towards his position and took him by surprise.
Wanting to retreat backwards at high speed, Airon felt an electric shock of pain run through his body and he stopped abruptly, giving him enough time for Alicia to take him down.
Seeing her opponent on the ground, Alicia mounted Airon's body, holding a knife in its sheath over Airon's eyes and as she smiled, "Looks like you still need rest, you should teach the kids how to fight..."
"Not so fast..."
Airon who was a bit embarrassed by his poor fighting demonstration used all his strength and threw Alicia's body on the ground and as she rolled he took advantage of the moment to pin her body under his.
"You shouldn't underestimate your opponents..." Airon muttered as he looked at Alicia's somewhat sweaty expression.
"If anyone sees us in this position they will misunderstand things." Alicia still hadn't given up as she tried to move Airon's body that was lying on top of hers.
"I don't care."
But as Airon said those words, footsteps were heard and a voice sounded somewhat unnatural, "Sir, everyone is waiting for you for the meeting..."
After a few seconds of silence, he said again, "I didn't see anything, sir."
"That doesn't matter." Airon said as he shook his head, and struggled up from the floor,
"Are you coming to the meeting?"
"No, I'm going to take a shower, don't you want to come?"
"I'll pass this time..."
...
At this time, Airon, naturally knew nothing of the process of the operation to find the submarine which was extremely important for his community and all the people who want to live a few more days.
He was now holding an important meeting so that everyone on the base would be informed of the enemy, as well as their purpose and what will happen if they are not stopped in the next few days.
After entering the room where all the people were having the meeting, they fell silent and waited for the real explanation to begin.
Quickly, he took out a yellow looking key and placed it on the table. Everyone watched this action without asking questions, waiting for Airon to start talking.
Airon again took out paper and pencil from his bag and wrote down all the information he learned today in case he couldn't remember in the process of the explanation.
After he finished writing, he sighed deeply and said, "Things have escalated one after another without seeming to stop, everyone in this room should know that walkers are not our main enemy but people."
Tapping the table lightly, the key that was silent in that place vibrated a little and then Airon pointed out, "The Doomsday Cult is led by Teddy, and this is a group of hostile survivalists led long before the Apocalypse as far as I know and was formed for the sole purpose to fulfill the doomsday, they believe is to wipe out everything thanks to the nuclear warheads they plan to use."
"Many are already aware of this so I would like to not go into details. The doomsday cult found a submarine somewhere in Texas, on that one there are UGM-133 Trident III class nuclear warheads. The cult's purpose is to use these warheads stored on USS Pennsylvania submarine to wipe out the rest of humanity on the surface of the earth and supposedly give the human race a fresh start."
"That's crazy!" Muttered Madison in Shock.
"It seems the stupidest and most fucking idiotic have survived this rotten world..." Daryl shook his head, he knew that was pretty much the result of the interrogation.
"Is that even possible? I mean, the subs should have stayed at sea and not within reach of civilians who can play with those kinds of bombs nowadays."
"Actually, it is possible since the sub somehow made it to the surface of a beach..." Sam shook his head.
Shane, who was also in the room, said, "Yet another reason to kill them!"
"We have to be smart..."
Airon closed his eyes and thought, there were children in that place and people who were forced to be together with the cult, so they should wait until they have a battle plan. That is to say, take advantage of those small factors to get the other key to the submarine and thus have full control of that power that would do their community a lot of good.
Thinking about this during all this time, he opened his eyes and said: "We must not kill everyone, locate the place where the enemy operates and make it as clean as possible. Attracting a large amount of walkers won't be feasible either, we have to use the containers full of walkers in the most complicated areas to eliminate those who show resistance."
Morgan gave Airon a puzzled look and asked, "This.... Can this work?"
"I don't know either."
Airon spread his hands and said he didn't know, and explained, "But I do know that I definitely don't want to eliminate the families and children who are against their will in the cult, so we must contact the rank and file outside the cult and share our plan with them."
"I'm sure they don't want to be suppressed by the cult, and their loyalty after eliminating three of their outside communities is fluctuating, but if we attack the cult and eliminate everyone inside, what do you think the remaining outside communities will do?"
"Even then, the risks are significant."
After hearing these plans, Shane finally began to hesitate, but quickly shook his head, expressing that the risk factor was too high and that it was definitely the best thing to do to avoid so many unnecessary deaths.
"We have a force that can eliminate the cult in minutes, if we don't attack with full force it's because we are not like them, we consider life important in our community. Which is why, they will be given a warning before attacking."
"Well, I think so too."
Unexpectedly, Airon agreed with Shane's idea, he suddenly pulled out the dagger in his hand, thrust it hard into the circle where The Galleria supermarket was located and said, "So, since that Teddy is reasonable, we will talk to him before we attack and long before that we should get in touch with the bases surrounding the cult."
