Chapter 181 - Hilltop

After a series of apologies, this whole matter was considered to have come to an end. Although some people in Airon's group were still upset, since their leader had said that this matter was at an end, no one else decided to go through with it.

When things calmed down and everyone put down their weapons, Carson, who had been worried about more than just their safety, broke the silence. They had been out for a long time, but they hadn't found everything they needed.

If he thought about it, there were still a lot of people at Hilltop waiting for the medicine to recover and he needed to get back as soon as possible.

Thinking about this, Carson who was standing next to Ezekiel couldn't help but ask, "Your majesty, I wonder if you have any specific medicines. You should know that several people in our community urgently need that medicine, otherwise, it will be complicated to control the temperature in their bodies."

At that moment, Ezekiel felt completely relieved that Airon was a reasonable person and that his group listened to his words. Hearing this, he smiled and said to Carson, "I had little of what they asked for, but if you ask Airon's group for help they can give you what you need. Their group is looking for communities to support them and incidentally complete some of their plans that I can't quite share."

Carson looked at Airon's entire group who not only saved Wesley, but also seemed to belong to a much larger and stronger community.

Airon did not respond to these words, he looked to Ezekiel and said, "Your Majesty..."

Before Airon could finish his words, Ezekiel interrupted him and pointed out, "Just call me Ezekiel, for someone who is understandable like you and a good friend, don't speak to me with honorifics."

"Then I will take your words, Ezekiel, I don't know the shelter of these people and I need your help, how do you evaluate these people and do you think it is worthwhile to put me in contact with them?"

Ezekiel looked at Jesus beside him and said sincerely, "Actually, Jesus and the others are very good business allies, and our two communities have been trading for a long time. I think it is worthwhile, they also have a lot to offer you beyond the material."

Airon nodded and then sought Daryl's gaze, during this time he wasn't just ordering as if he knew everything about what would happen, he was always looking for the answers and listening to the thoughts of his group, this was what kept them strong and united.

Daryl looked at Airon, narrowed his eyes and finally nodded, if they could help one person it must be done. If they could save lives today that was important, what they had been doing since they traveled.

Tyreese agreed, a great and noble man would agree to whatever it was and his sister would follow, Glenn also accepted this and agreed. Seeing this, Airon nodded.

In fact, he didn't need to go explore Hilltop since they had been to that place. But if they were allied with the Kingdom, he could get more information about the situation in both communities and act on that knowledge.

Jesus aside also invited, "Airon, I am happy that our previous misunderstanding has turned into an opportunity for us to establish relations, and I hope you will not have a bad impression of our nature because of my reckless behavior, our doors will always be open for good people like you group."

Carson also said, "Yes, I hope you can come to our settlement. We still haven't paid for your help just now. For a group like yours that can rescue strangers without hesitation, you are absolutely welcome to our community."

"That's right, even if I don't keep my hand, I survived, all thanks to your help that few today are willing to offer." Wesley said gratefully.

Airon looked back at the dozen team members behind him, they all had the same expression on their faces, you just need to make a decision.

Turning speechless, Airon nodded towards Jesus.

"Then let's go, no need to wait any longer."

...

In the modified RV, looking out the front door of Hilltop, Jesus told the crowd proudly, "Everyone, welcome to our community, Hilltop!"

Daryl whispered, "What a strange name..."

A convoy of six vehicles slowly pulled up in front of Hilltop, and several people exited the modified RV leading the way. Immediately over the front door of this shelter, a guard shouted, "Jesus, who are those people?"

Jesus walked straight ahead leading the group and shouted to the two guards holding spears on the wall, "Nothing to worry about, these are our friends, they saved Carson and the others, open the gate."

To Airon's surprise, the other party did not appear much to make up his mind, so the door opened almost instantly. Seeing this, Airon looked at Daryl and they both stepped aside for everyone to enter.

The sentiment here is much greater than in the original drama. The point is that the people around saw Auron and his group enter the courtyard, but they didn't feel too afraid.

Airon guessed that this was because the Salvation Army had not yet appeared, so they were not so wary of strangers.

The yard looks very simple, many of which are sheds built from logs. There seem to be no decent carpenters here, and the buildings are very simple. Only one side of the yard has a few rooms that appear to have been converted from containers, and the rest are filled with chickens, shed, piggery and farmland.

There were no slackers in this shelter, and everyone was busy with their work. This made the team members behind Airon think of Alexandria. Compared to this place, the people there were just a bunch of people waiting to die.

After walking a few steps, Airon heard Jesus point to a European-style building up ahead.

This used to be an old Barringron mansion, which formerly served as a tourist attraction, is currently used as a shelter. Due to its fertile soils, farming and raising animals such as chickens, pigs and cows are the main activities of the residents.

Michonne asked curiously, "How did you get to know this place?".

Jesus showed a somewhat emotional expression and pointed to those working around him.

"This place is very famous. All the students within 50 kilometers nearby have visited this place. Before the end of the world, it had been operating as a resort. After the end of the world, people probably thought of coming to this place."

Airon didn't have time to listen to this, so he said to Carson next to him. "What about the patients you mentioned? Bob will have to see them and he'll make a list of the medications your people need."

Carson greeted Airon with a happy face and walked to a trailer next to him.

As he walked, Airon said to Michonne behind him and Maggie, "You can start the initial negotiations while I accompany Bob to see the sick patients."

Airon didn't want to see that old Gregory before checking to see if what was needed in this place had it, otherwise they should wait until the group coming from Atlanta arrived in Alexandria.

Arriving at the trailer, Carson put on a white coat hanging on the wall, hung the stethoscope around his neck and led Airon over to the container beside him.

...

Jesus led a group of people up to the gate of Barrington Manor. As soon as they entered the house, everyone's first impression of the place was that it was exquisite, that's right, they had lived in the last few days for over a year. It had been a long time since they had seen such an exquisite room as well.

But everyone's eyes didn't linger on those exquisite decorations for long. Maggie looked at Jesus and asked, "Where is your leader?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a door opened next to her and a bald, clean-suited old man stepped out of the room.

"Jesus, you're back, do you have guests?"

"This is the leader of our community, Gregory. He's in charge practically of the development of our people."

Gregory opened his hands and said with some pride, "Yes, I'm the boss here!"

Seeing the leader finally come out, Maggie said, "We are the S.C.T. community operating right now in Washington. I hear you need some supplies."

"Who said we needed supplies? We're fine, haha."

Gregory looked at the group of people several times, these guys are not simple! Gregory is definitely very observant, and he quickly analyzed basic information about the people in front of him through simple contact.

First of all, from the glow of these people's skin, you can tell that this is a team with extremely rich resources, and they have never been hungry.

Secondly, the other party's body was only stained with a little undead blood, but overall there was no smell of sweat that other survivors could smell from a long distance, nor did they pay too much attention to the luxurious decoration here, which shows that this group of people had a very good foundation.

But the most important thing is their clothing and weapons. Looking at those Humvees with machine guns, men in military uniforms and over-armed, this is a great group of people.

At this thought, Gregory flashed a confident smile on his face, which caused Maggie and Michonne to frown.

"Listen, while we have no shortage of materials at this point, we've always been very interested in the transaction. I wonder if you can talk about that in detail."

Glenn who was accompanying Michonne and Maggie looked at this old man, he knew he wouldn't be easy to deal with.
