Chapter 174 - The Kingdom

The modified RV was driving down the road at this time, behind the lead vehicle were two Humvees with machine guns and a cargo truck.

The route was directly to the Kingdom, which was not far from Alexandria and was Airon's first objective on this trip. Later it was certain that reinforcements would arrive, so today was quite a hectic day.

The convoy of four are in good shape, only the modified RV has clear traces of fighting. Although this modified RV has armor plating on the outside, bullets were still leaving traces and the bulletproof glass had been replaced by George some time ago.

The military cars were in perfect condition, after a cleanup a lot of military equipment could be recovered without much trouble, blending in with the convoy I created a scene full of oppression.

Even if they met survivors, they would do absolutely nothing to stop them unless they wanted to be met by hundreds of bullets in a few seconds.

Airon was sitting on a couch inside the modified RV as he thought silently, his next plans involve a lot of manpower in this part of the country. Consequently, what he needs are people who will work for him and who are external to his community.

He will be brief in showing them all that they can be part of his group, but if they don't he will offer them food, medicine or weapons in exchange for resources and manpower to completely rebuild the base in Alexandria.

Everyone needs resources, what better way to exchange resources than to get both sides something? Airon knew there was no better way for others to join his community, but he also wasn't interested in saving people who didn't want to be saved.

He knew he had to stop presenting himself as military today, many do not understand or have suffered at the hands of the military when this all started. Running out of plans and time, he knew that now all that was left was to negotiate as if two countries on dangerous ground met.

Before long, several cars arrived at the gate of the Kingdom and Airon had asked his people in the Humvees to stay close but not in sight of the people in this shelter.

Who wouldn't be scared to see so many weapons from an uninvited guest?

The guards behind the wall were startled by the sight of two large vehicles suddenly appearing in front of their path, so one of them immediately blew a whistle and a burst of whistles was heard throughout this shelter that pierced the quiet atmosphere.

All the survivors in the Kingdom raised their heads in panic and looked at the guards on the wall of this shelter who were blowing the whistle continuously, this whistle would only blow in case of emergency, and this was the first time the whistle was blown since they arrived here.

Soon, many survivors in the courtyard ran towards the safer structures, but when the crowd reached the door to take shelter a man came out pushing everyone, his gray hair with huge braids gave him a unique appearance among this group of people, dressed in a combat suit and a long knife at his waist he looked towards the door with a serious face.

At that moment, a tiger with a coat of black and yellow colors followed him closely giving security to his movements, its huge head lifted up from time to time showing those eyes full of coldness.

The man with long braids patted the tiger on the head and said in a low voice, "Shiva, stay here for a moment!"

This man with leadership airs was naturally Ezekiel, and several people around him who followed close behind also wore combat uniforms, this group quickly ran towards the gate with weapons.

"Your Majesty! The origin of these people is unknown, you can't get close until we know it's safe!"

Seeing that Ezekiel seemed to want to open the door, a guard at his side rushed to stop him and quickly warned him of the dangers that lay ahead.

Ezekiel patted the man beside him and smiled confidently, "My loyal bodyguard, Richard, don't worry, we fear no one on this sacred ground!"

Several guards ignored Ezekiel's words and still stopped in front of him. Richard said to a strong man holding a huge ax at his side, "Jerry, go and open the door."

With a creak, the door slowly opened and Airon had already led several people to the door. The two sides looked at each other briefly, and Ezekiel found that the people on the opposite side were wearing standard military uniforms and were well equipped.

This made him feel a little dazed. His own weapons were obviously inferior to those of his opponent. If the opponent had evil intentions, his people would suffer a devastating blow without them being able to do anything.

However, judging from the other party's behavior after getting out of the car, it seemed that he was not the type of person who could not communicate peacefully with him, seeing this he whispered a few words into Richard's ear.

As a king, he naturally would not be the first to speak. After hearing his words, Richard nodded slightly, then turned to Airon and the others and asked, "Are you from the army? By coming to us, what are your intentions in coming to the Kingdom?"

Airon looked at this man and nodded, although he didn't want to admit it his appearance didn't help at all so he said, "We are no longer from the army, now our affiliation has changed and we belong to a special organization. This is my first visit to this shelter, coming here I have no bad intentions, I just have to know if they are good or bad before we can talk about other things."

"Another organization?"

Ezekiel suddenly became interested, but the identity of the other party was still unclear and he didn't dare to easily let go of the script, so he slowly took two steps forward and asked with some vigilance, "How did you find us?"

Just as Airon was about to speak, Jerry, a tall and burly man, interrupted him next to Ezekiel, raised his voice slightly and said, "The one talking to you is His Majesty the King of our Kingdom, pay attention to your attitude! "

"Puff!"

Michonne behind him couldn't help but laugh, the rest of the people looked at Jerry talking with strange expressions, and even Airon had to keep himself composed to show some respect.

In the original play, when Ezekiel first came out, there was a strong medieval class atmosphere, but I didn't expect the feeling to be much deeper than I imagined, Jerry is definitely a big man.

Daryl couldn't help but grumble under his breath, "Is there a problem with the way these people think? I thought nothing could surprise me anymore, we'll be fine due to Merle not being in our group this time."

Airon shook his head slightly, indicating him not to speak, then looked seriously at Ezekiel, who was standing there with a somewhat embarrassed hidden expression.

"Oh, my apologies, this was definitely a strong introduction, it turned out that you are a King in this place. Manners I don't usually use lately, it's a pleasure to meet you, your Majesty."

After finishing speaking, Airon bowed to Ezekiel and the embarrassment at the scene was relieved by his actions.

A slightly unnatural smile appeared on Ezekiel's face, and he squeezed a phrase from between his teeth: "Jerry, stop talking."

"Well, Your Majesty."

Jerry bowed slightly and took a step back. Ezekiel's expression became a little more natural and he said to Airon in an apologetic tone, "I apologize for my subordinate's unreasonableness. Can you answer my question, how did you find us?"

Hearing this question, Airon said in an apologetic tone, "We have been observing the surroundings for survivors and accidentally found your settlement, we wanted to come from immediately but we needed to be sure that you were not bad people."

"Now I can tell you are a good bunch of people at a glance, so I took the liberty of approaching you directly and without protection."

Ezekiel stared into Airon's eyes, what he saw on Airon's face was honesty, but this alone was not enough to calm him down.

"May I see your goods?"

"Surely!"

Airon turned his head and nodded to Glenn at his side. Glenn went straight back to the car and opened the rear door on the side of the modified RV and cargo truck.

Airon made an inviting gesture, looked at Ezekiel and said with a smile, "Your Majesty, you may follow me without worry."

Accompanied by Richard and the others, Ezekiel walked to the back of the RV and the cargo truck where they saw a large amount of weapons and ammunition stacked in crates.

And it wasn't over yet, he saw Glenn jump out of the truck and then continue moving to the RV.

With a soft sound, the armor plating on the side of the modified RV also opened, in an instant, a variety of goods appeared in front of Ezekiel and the others, canned food, medicine and some things in short supply in the last few days filled the entire side trunk of the large vehicle.

And Ezekiel's eyes fell on a few packages in the corner.

"How can they have all this?"

Airon was stunned to see Ezekiel and the others picking up a few packages of toilet paper, he looked around at the people around him with some puzzlement.

Daryl also looked blank, but Carlos suddenly said, "Captain, it looks like toilet paper is in short supply outside."

Michonne next door also said emotionally, "You really don't know, this stuff is comparable to gold!"

Airon had never experienced a shortage of toilet paper, but he understood the difficulty of this product being in short supply.

At that moment, Ezekiel finally recovered from the surprise of finding the toilet paper, seeing the guards around him still holding the toilet paper and laughing, he coughed a couple of times unnaturally.

He turned to look at Airon, the smile on his face finally became a little friendlier, he held out his hand in front of Airon and the two shook hands.

Ezekiel smiled and said, "Now I kind of believe what you said. If you don't mind, come with me and let's talk properly."

"Of course, I'm delighted."
