Chapter 164 - My Name is Airon

Just as the people of Alexandria were rushing for weapons for defense, the convoy outside the main gate came to a complete stop and several people stepped out of the modified RV, the man leading the group had no weapon in his hands as he strode forward without a care in the world.

Deanna Monroe slowly walked to the outside of the gate, looked at these strange figures and in a loud voice said, "This is our community! Who are you, I ask you to identify yourselves!"

However, none of these people responded to her questions and requests. Deanna was about to speak again when she saw the man walking to the front again.

"Are you Deanna?"

Hearing that question, Deanna was surprised that these people knew her name so she became even more puzzled, but still nodded.

"Yes, I'm Deanna! Who are you?"

The man smiled slightly, lowered his hand to a pocket of his vest and said, "Listen, there's no need to be nervous about our presence, I tried a letter you told me about this place."

After speaking, he reached out slowly and pulled an envelope out of his pocket, then held the envelope out towards Deanna.

"Madam, you may look at the contents of the letter and you will understand that we do not come to this place with malicious intentions."

Deanna received the letter through the open gap in the front door and after some hesitation opened the contents of the letter. Lines of neat handwriting appeared and the more she read the more her expression gradually relaxed. In the end, there was only a smile on her carefree face.

She looked at the man in front of her who was waiting silently and asked again, "Are you Commander Airon?"

This man who was Airon, in fact he has been hanging around a few times and that's all because Alexandria is a really very hidden place. He searched for it until it got dark yesterday, but still couldn't find this shelter, so he had to settle down and spend the night outside.

Unexpectedly, thanks to Daryl who was lucky enough to find some mysterious walls, they finally found this community.

Even Airon wondered if it was because he and his people should not be in this place originally. What abnormal changes will there be in the future?

"Yes Congressman, my name is Airon Darcy, I got the position of commander after fulfilling my mission to protect the CDC facility in Atlanta. Mr. Gregor Helmont was lucky enough to be found by our people, so we went to this place to see the situation in this part of the country."

Deanna then signaled the nervous people behind her to put down their weapons and personally reached out to open the door fully. Aaron stepped forward and held Deanna's arm a little hesitantly, and the two stepped aside.

"Deanna, what's wrong with you, we haven't heard from them yet!"

Deanna smiled reassuringly, held up the letter in her hand and said, "This is a letter from an old acquaintance, very few knew that this man was someone known to Alexander Davidson. These people are trustworthy, they will not harm us and the information in the letter cannot be forged, there is nothing to worry about."

But seeing the uneasy look on Aaron's face, Deanna patted the man and said again, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

Aaron nodded with concern, what else could he do? Now he could only choose to believe and hope for the best.

Just as Deanna opened the door and stepped out, everyone in Alexandria had finally arrived toward the door with guns in their hands.

"Aaron, what's going on?" A tall man ran up with a gun in his hand and immediately saw Deanna walk out the door alone.

He was suddenly startled, and the gun in his hand was about to be raised, but Aaron to the side held out his hand and said, "Everything is in order for now, the other party doesn't seem to be hostile. We have to let Deanna talk to them first!"

More people ran after them. These people did not seem to have any sense of danger. They just carelessly stood in the doorway, not realizing that if the other party was hostile, they just needed one round of gunfire and everyone wouldn't know what happened.

Deanna approached Airon, smiled politely and introduced herself, "Hi, let me formally introduce you. I'm Deanna Monroe and I'm the person in charge of this place."

Airon smiled and stepped forward to shake this woman's hand and then said with a modest smile, "Hello, Madame Monroe, as you said before I'm Airon Darcy, just call me Airon."

"Then call me Deanna too, it's been a long time since people stopped being so formal when talking to me."

"Then I'll call her Deanna from now on."

After saying that, Airon pointed to the people behind him and said, "These are my companions, some of us came all the way from Atlanta and some of us met them on the way."

Hearing again that the other party was coming from Atlanta, Deanna couldn't help but sigh.

"My goodness, I can't believe you've come this far. It's been a long road."

"Haha, fortunately it only took us a little less than a week, mainly due to the fact that we made several stops along the way. So we cleared the way here, it will take no more than a day to make a trip all the way to Atlanta now."

"Let me mention that I trust you guys, but just to confirm, could you tell me the appearance of the man who wrote the letter?"

Airon nodded and without much trouble explained the man's appearance, originally he would have been surprised if Deanna trusted him so quickly.

"I'm glad to know that he's okay, let's go inside and talk formally inside, it's not safe to stay outside!"

Before Deanna finished her sentence, she saw some walkers coming out of the nearby woods, walking towards them with teeth and claws bared.

They backed up two steps nervously and she was about to remind Airon but saw that the latter only waved at the two people behind him.

She saw a long-haired man holding a hand crossbow and a strong furred man wearing a woolen cap emerge from the crowd.

A crossbow arrow went straight through the head of one walker, and then, with a twist of his right hand around his waist, he took a machete in his hand, took two steps forward and split the head from top to bottom.

The large black-skinned man was simpler and bloodier, with a huge metal bar in his hand, one by one, the walkers in front of him only lasted a few seconds before they fell to the ground.

The Alexandria survivors in the courtyard watched the two quickly deal with a small group of walkers, all of them showing stunned expressions. They could not understand at all how these people managed to do it so easily. Aren't they afraid of being bitten by those undead?

Looking at the expressions on the faces of the group of people in the courtyard, Airon secretly sighed.

Many of these people are not fit to survive this world, they just came to the right place at the right time.

It can only be said that this shelter is lucky. Although luck is also part of strength, luck's greatest flaw is instability. Those who survive on luck only tend to live short lives.

On Deanna's signal, several cars finally entered the community, revealing a small group of walkers behind them attracted by the noise of the cars.

Everyone in Alexandria looked nervously at the figures walking in the distance, stood by the gate one after another and began firing at the walkers.

After a burst of gunfire, Airon showed a strange expression on his face. Two walkers were eliminated after a few shots, and the others were still approaching.

The people behind Airon couldn't hold back their smiles, Michonne had already turned around, shaking her head wearily.

Deanna, seeing this was a little nervous, so she said, "Our community are ordinary people who don't advocate violence, so we're not used to touching guns."

Airon nodded his head and shouted behind him, "Elias, Sasha!"

"Understood!"

Elias and Sasha walked toward the door very casually. They raised their guns and fired a few shots at the group of walkers in the distance. Soon there was only one walker left walking in the small group.

"Bang!"

The last undead fell in response.

They had all been eliminated without much trouble.
