Chereads / TWD: A New Beginning From the End of the World / Chapter 129 - This is the plan

Chapter 129 - This is the plan

Back in the modified RV where Airon's group was advancing through the desolate streets, he was receiving a very peculiar report about what had happened a few minutes ago at the growth base run by Shane.

"Zz... I have full confidence in your decisions Shane, you are the leader of that shelter and you will do what you see fit to keep it safe." Airon nodded hearing Shane's words.

"Zz... I knew you would understand me. By now we have already cleared many buildings, especially institutes, we have also received many refugees that were hiding in different places from where our men have passed."

"Zz... Hmm, that's a good thing, very soon I will be able to return to base, for now I plan to take over the biggest hospital in Georgia, once I see that it is safe I will call for reinforcements to make the place useful for our people."

"Zz... Understood, we'll be in touch."

"Zz... Okay, see you Shane."

Airon knew he wasn't wrong to put Shane as a shelter leader, he was one of the ones who figured out quickly what the world was like with the walkers. At the time, no one in his group could understand and they all wanted to keep themselves in an unreal dome where there was an ideal world for everyone.

But now things are different, Airon needs Shane as people need him, he is not only giving wings to the smartest and most decisive people there will be in the future, but he is also creating strong pillars for the constant growth of the S.C.T. community.

In fact, Airon had thought about this for a long time and firmly thought about his decisions ten times before making a decision. But for now, he had to focus on his own missions and goals. The easiest way to take over the hospital was to kill all the cops without consideration.

But there were two things holding him back, one was his group was still constantly growing and the other was that he could not generate such a bloody image when many of the policemen could receive rehabilitation from the special training at his base.

After all, the vast majority were good people in this whole apocalypse. They were bringing people together, trying to create stability within the hospital and keep things running smoothly while waiting for everything to work out.

Just looking at how they got Beth from the outskirts of Atlanta to the hospital, you could tell how determined they were to save people. But, they still had their bad things and one or the other had to be eliminated if they didn't understand the reason for their visit.

The policemen on his side were somewhat easy to deal with, slightly less so than ordinary people, and even the weakest in their group could stand up to them. In his eyes, the cops shouldn't have a lot of ammunition and there was little chance he'd mess things up with that group.

And their existence is also easy to explain to the team members. After all, they often go out on patrol, and he only needs to catch one survivor from that hospital, posing as a military man who was scouting this part of the city.

If you are not looking to kill all these people, what you should do is warn them and make it clear to them who they are dealing with. If he introduces himself as military, two things can happen, one that they feel scared and another that they feel relieved.

Airon also understands that for a person like Dawn, who only cares about her own bubble, when she realizes that there is a powerful group outside her doors posing as military, her first choice is to avoid any misunderstanding.

Dawn would not do such ungrateful things, including other policemen in the hospital. In fact, they may have good and bad personalities, but the essence is the same.

Therefore, under the premise that Airon presents himself as a military man and does not want to harm them, the best option is to talk.

But first he had to create a situation that would force him inside. No one from his group could just go to the hospital armed and present themselves as military, this way the people from his group would be a little surprised at how he made decisions.

A year has passed since the end of the world broke out. According to the original plot, Noah was rescued by Rick's team a long time later and that was only because Beth helped him escape. He himself told the group that Beth was in the hospital.

In other words, if you consider the slightly fuzzy timeline of the story, quite possibly Noah should be right now with the people at the hospital right now.

Airon sat in the passenger seat plotting what was the best plan to take to get in contact with the people at the hospital. Of all the crazy ideas that came to his mind was to introduce himself as military and if he was lucky find a person outside the hospital.

As the modified RV with the trailer approached Grady Memorial Hospital, the streets became more uninhabited and all there was was trash. Even if there were walkers, George passes over all of them without consideration.

Some of the walkers on the road tried to pounce on the wheels of the RV, but were torn to pieces and others repulsed by the armor around the large truck body.

After a while, George found a hidden alley, parked the big truck with his good skill and some started to get out of the truck to eliminate the walkers around, and after they were eliminating some they took it upon themselves to move them to a dumpster.

Airon made a visual inspection and found that the distance from the hospital to their location was less than a kilometer, it would take only a few minutes to drive there. From the base where Shane is located is a distance of at least three miles, so it was adequate if further consideration was given to opening shelter points at key locations in the city.

The base where Sam is is a little further, at least six kilometers and all this without considering all the work involved in traveling nowadays. Furthermore, in order to avoid entering the other party's field of vision, they chose a path that should not be taken by the people from the hospital.

"Airon, are you sure there could be survivors in that hospital?" Looking at the desolate appearance of the hospital, Tyreese couldn't help but express his inner doubts.

Hearing this question, Airon immediately responded, "Sam's scouting group has identified movement in this part of Atlanta, there were police cars apparently carrying survivors to a location of our location. This hospital is the largest in Atlanta and where the military left this location protected by police, furthermore it appears that this location would be considered in our expansion plans."

When they heard these words from Airon, everyone nodded as those words were very believable. There were surprisingly two community bases in this place, there was information that even Airon was unaware of at the time.

Airon thought about it for a while, then pointed out, "Bob, Daryl, George and Jon follow me, Tyreese, Billy and Liam to that building, I want them to have the height and look at our location from a remote location."

As he talked about the plan, Airon pointed to a location they hadn't accounted for and then pointed out, "Regardless of our objective, we need to observe the situation in the surrounding area first before we try to get close."

"Hmm, Merle, you will stay with the others in our vehicle and keep an eye on the surroundings. After we make contact, you must meet up with the group and be alert in case we need your help."

Glenn, next door, wasn't too convinced with the plan, so he pointed out, "Airon, isn't that too dangerous?"

Airon shook his head and then explained, "The five of us are enough, if there is danger don't forget to inform the base and we will get help by air, but it won't be necessary. If we all show up, possibly those people sheltering in the hospital will get scared."

However, before Airon left with the group he thought about the driver problem, so he remembered, "Glenn, you'll be the driver while George is away, don't abandon the RV under any circumstances, if we lose him I'm afraid we'll be in a bit of trouble."

Glenn nodded with satisfaction, now that he was considered in the plan, he would be in charge of driving this incredible monster truck.

After talking to Glenn, Airon looked at Merle and Carlos who were the explosive duo of the group and then pointed out, "Don't scare the others with strange comments, anything could happen if you open your mouth."

"My mouth only opens to kiss, drink and insult the sons of bitches I meet on the road." Merle looked at Sasha and smiled before closing one eye.

Sasha frowned before looking away, she knew Merle seemed to be the sick one of the group, so she didn't take his very annoying words seriously.

Seeing that everyone was ready, Airon watched Daryl and they both moved forward, the others also began to move to their spots.

The distance of a few hundred yards is nothing to these people, not to mention that there are obviously fewer walkers on the street now. Most of the time, the few people in their group don't even need to move their knives.

Airon took the lead and ran towards the main entrance of the building, the building was empty and there were only a few walkers lying on the ground.

Daryl approached a corpse, he crouched down to look at it, but his eyes suddenly became sharp, it was a walker that had just been killed!

"There are there people in this place!"

Hearing this one, Airon waved to the crowd behind him, indicating for them to follow him, then pointed to the corpse and whispered to Daryl, "What did you discover?"

Daryl also stepped forward to check it out, then looked around the corpse. After a while, he pointed to the stairs, indicating for them to go upstairs. "There's someone by that flank, let's be careful."

Airon's group began to climb the stairs with light steps, most of them were military so it wasn't a problem to move quietly. Airon also kept watching his feet and followed the direction of the footprints.

Not long after, some people reached the eighth floor, and Airon found that the tracks disappeared after that. He looked at Daryl and the two began to search separately from left to right.

"There!"

Soon, Daryl issued a reminder, pointing in their direction, and several people walked with light steps and indeed found two walker corpses appeared in the corridor, Airon leaned forward and walked some distance, then heard sounds.

Airon motioned for everyone to be quiet, then slipped around the corner, he peeked his head slightly to observe, under the dim light of the building, a short figure was awkwardly forcing a door!

"Do you need me to help you?"
