As it has always been, Airon does the questionnaires for many reasons. First, to find out what special person comes to their door and second is to find out what kind of person and value they generate in the future of their community.
After many inspections and consultations, all the adults and seniors had a good profile. In fact, Airon plans to contact the central base for them to send someone. Obviously, these people can't travel with his group and he doesn't have the space to take more people than planned.
After careful consideration, Airon decided to let the home base send a car to pick up all these people. He could not consider bothering Sam Valdez on the side of the city due to the fact that it is a training base, and he could not communicate with Shane either as the situation now at his base is somewhat complicated, not to mention that it is now in constant expansion.
Considering that they are in a place far away from the two bases, the only possibility and best option was to communicate with the center base, so Airon got into the modified RV.
A long range radio had previously been installed inside the RV, which was mainly to communicate with the bases and the team next to him used shortwave radios so as not to interfere with other communications.
Since Airon accidentally communicated with other people when he was evacuating in the city of Atlanta with the resources, he had realized that from the beginning he had been communicating with long-range radios. Therefore, in order not to be discovered, shortwave radios were now used.
Airon although he intended to go far away, his objectives on this trip were clear and he did not plan to get involved much in other places if he sees that they do not have control of the situation.
But as for the long-range radio.... The location you are in may not be able to get a clear signal when you want to make use of communications.
"Zz... Central base! Central base! This is Airon, respond if you receive my voice, over."
"Zz... Tyler here, what's the situation?"
...
After a long talk, it was agreed that a truck would come from the central base led by Corporal Rayan and pick up all these people in the morning. Today it was already dark, so Airon left the job almost finished.
Due to the lack of electricity, it was too dark to continue working on what they were doing. Originally he wanted to find a way to have electricity but generators cause a lot of noise and in places where there are walkers that would be their undoing. So the work would be finished tomorrow, and then leave when they took these people away.
A whole group of people went up to the modified RV, Merle, Carlos went straight to the third floor, Michonne on the other hand along with the others were busy cooking while the rest sat on some chairs and tables that were pulled out of a space.
Inside the modified RV was huge when expanded, when this was expanded there was a long space where over twenty people could be sheltered with all the equipment inside. The floor owners were made to make full use of the space, but there were still some women on this trip so consideration had to be given to leaving space for them together.
Bob was sitting in a small chair at this point, looking at the incredible interior design of the modified RV. Everything was so sophisticated and practical. There was a door in the back of the car, stairs leading up to what was speculated to be a shooting port and the walls were nicely reinforced.
There was a separate room and Bob guessed this was for food storage. On either side are bunks for sleeping and a separate room that was unknown what it was for.
At this point Glenn and the others had divided them into upstairs and downstairs. Dividing them all into special floors. What surprised Bob the most was that the expansion stores on either side of the middle part turned out to be an operations room and a command room!
Then right next to it was a small place to treat any kind of wound, the space inside was adequate to accommodate two people, although the space was very tight, there was no doubt that this place had everything needed for a medical intervention.
Just as Bob was full of emotions, Airon came in from outside, and Michonne and the others also came out of the house with pots of food.
Bob quickly closed the door to the medical room and looked at Airon with some embarrassment.
Seeing Bob's expression, Aidon waved his hands showing he didn't care about these little things and said, "It's okay, you can look at what you want, we're just thankful it hasn't been used yet."
"Sir, do you have a doctor in your group?" Bob asked with a bit of curiosity.
Airon pointed to a man sitting quietly while listening to music from a tape recorder and said, "I have basic knowledge but nothing special, but Billy was being trained again so he remembered his times where he originally wanted to be a military doctor."
Bob looked at Billy and couldn't help but say, "It seems that there are many special people in this group."
"Your medical skills and since you are military will help us a lot, you may be transferred to one of the bases to serve as reinforcement in training." Airon knew that a military doctor was very important today in his forces. By this time, Michonne and the others had already prepared their food and he called everyone out of the RV to eat.
Patting Bob on the shoulder, Airon got out and said, "Let's eat first, we can talk after we eat."
By this time, several people had gathered around Michonne, and the little kids were standing next to her, looking at the food in the pot without blinking. They hadn't had a decent meal in a long time.
Michonne took three plates and filled them with some food for the three little ones, the three children thanked them and ran off with a smile as they held their plates.
Looking at the backs of the two little ones, Michonne revealed an inexplicable excitement in her eyes, and didn't pretend to be indifferent until they all got out of the car and started serving them their food.
...
At the same time that Airon's group were having dinner, at the prison they had just finished dinner and Rick was walking to the room with Judith in his arms, now it could be said that Rick's condition was better than in the original story, at least his wife and daughter have recovered very well.
As for the problem of powdered milk for later, there are many people at the base and a lot of various materials have been collected in the early days of the end of the world, including powdered milk.
By this time, his little daughter had just finished drinking milk, Rick patted her back and, after a little burp, Judith seemed sleepy again, sleeping in Rick's arms again.
After handing Judith over to his wife, Rick simply sat on the side of the bed and planned to chat with Lori.
"Boom, boom, boom!"
A series of hurried knocks came at the door and interrupted what he was about to say, turning his head, Rick frowned, got up and opened the door, and it turned out to be Carol.
Looking at Carol with an anxious face, Rick suddenly had an ominous premonition in his heart, he looked at Lori behind him and motioned for Carol to come out and speak.
"Lori, I'm going out for a while, you should rest!"
Lori was in a good mood, she nodded and put her daughter in the crib next to her,
Then she lay down on the bed.
"What's wrong?"
Rick closed the door before asking quietly, he knew Carol wouldn't come to him now if there was nothing important.
Indeed, Carol's tone was a little nervous, she lowered her voice and said, "An urgent warning just came in from the scouts in the woods, everyone is saying that a large horde of walkers is approaching the prison, all the scouts have left the woods and returned to the base.
Rick was startled when he heard the words, he turned and ran out the door of the unit.
Carol also followed him, since that day when she had the talk with Daryl about Airon, she joined the defense team and slowly learned how to use the bow and guns by leaving the prison numerous times.
Rick ran up a tower and as soon as he exited the door of the unit. At that moment, a large number of guards were gathering on the walls.
Rick knows what's coming and that's a large horde of walkers! The prison is about to face the first horde of walkers since it was built. At this moment, Rick felt the sense of security conveyed by the thick city wall beneath his feet!
Rick walked quickly down from the watchtower and walked over the base wall, shouting to the people watching on the city wall as he walked, "Everyone get down from the towers and be quiet! Be quiet!"
The crowd began to retreat under the walls in an orderly fashion as Rick called for everyone to get ready and pay attention to the movements of the horde of walkers, soldiers and people began to move around the prison to make sure there was no problem.
Rick grabbed the radio and issued the alert for all guards on the base to prepare for a direct confrontation if things went wrong. Soon, numerous soldiers were spotted at the towers with extra ammunition boxes for the machine guns.
According to the first protocol it was to make no noise and let the walkers pass, because of the large walls, as long as no one makes noise nothing will happen and the horde will continue to advance.
Rick whispered to Marco: "Our defense is fine! But we can't let the walkers hear the sound, otherwise we will be surrounded by them and the outer wire fence would be destroyed. Not only that, we would lose all the crops."
Marco nodded, and the two just waited in a watchtower!
The roar of the walkers was getting closer and closer, and everyone in the base could see a horde of walkers approaching. However, as the roars got closer, everyone heard a different sound, the horses were whistling.
"HIII!"
Rick and Marco's expression paled and they both cursed at the same time, "Shit!"
