Chapter 90 - An unknown place

The next day was when Ramon's group was placed in a special place within the prison facilities. The lie detection device that was used by Nara was very effective.

The first thing she analyzed was if they had any kind of trauma, in this case the men and women were divided into different groups while having a complete evaluation of the results.

Then, the questions that were to evaluate to check their psychological state, which are questionnaires that some of the survivors inside the prison have to answer from time to time, creating new questions and asking many other questions so that all the people answered honestly, to then get a larger amount of data.

After the survivors arrived at the prison, they will have to spend two days in isolation and observation to know that they were not infected, after it is confirmed that they are not infected, two days later, according to the results of their previous evaluation, adding up the wrong answers and their behavior in all this time, the profile of the survivors will be classified into four levels.

As for the results of the survivors, they will become an important part for the evolution of this prison and its security.

For those who are less threatening, you may consider giving them a certain degree of release, then observing them for half a month and then re-evaluating them, this for the purpose of knowing if they are fit to be soldiers.

If the survivor is a potential problem, this requires a longer investigation and analysis, and then divided into various levels of danger. Only until you can roughly understand the details of the other party, you will be granted a certain degree of freedom and then it will be a long-term observation.

If the risk was too high to the point of no longer being in control, a special team would take the survivor to a much better place outside the prison.

These procedures were what Airon did with all the people he took into his group, now that his community was too big to be run by himself, he had people to take care of all these tedious jobs.

Two days later, Ramon and the others were finally released according to schedule. They met with Nara again and were told more in detail about this place and that their dormitory would remain the same, only now they would not be restricted inside the cells and while they would be under someone else's care, this would only be for half a month.

Ramon and the others knew very well that this was not an escort to protect them, it was clearly a person to watch over them, but they also understood that the intention of these people was to maintain the security of this place, in situations like this it is already something incredible that they would have accepted them.

Soon, they all discovered that all the guards that lived in their unit for the previous two days had left and only one guard was left at the door of the unit.

Ramon expressed his thoughts with the others, then decided to go outside and take a look around.

As they walked back out the door of the unit, several people were still shocked by what they saw every step they took. These fortifications were obviously recently created. From what they understood, it had been almost a year since the end of the world came, and these people could afford to build something like this is something to admire.

Ramón looked at the soldier who was following him and wanted to ask him a few questions, but he hesitated, still thinking about the days to come, he insisted on asking him a few questions, "Hello, can I ask you a few questions?"

The soldier nodded and answered with an abnormally kind tone, "Of course, besides being your companion, my other task is to be your guide, so that you are clear that it is this place, you can ask whatever you want."

The group looked at each other, then Ramon looked at this person, but at that moment Jazmín whispered, "Don't forget to ask him if we can visit the places of this base."

Ramon nodded discreetly and then turned to the soldier next to him and asked, "I'm Ramon, I didn't ask your name, so it would be nice to know yours."

The soldier smiled slightly and held out his hand to Ramon, "Hi, my name is Glenn."

"Nice to meet you, these are my friends, Jazmín, Rosalinda, Juan, Gómez and Tina."

Glenn and the others exchanged greetings and then he reminded these people of something, "First of all, I'm not really a soldier, I'm just a survivor like all of you, before I got to this point I was a pizza delivery guy."

"Don't be so nervous, although I will follow you closely, your freedom will not be restricted. You can engage in communication with anyone in this place. Of course, the other party has the right to refuse to communicate with you. Therefore, if you have any other questions, you can ask them with confidence, but I suggest you first learn about this place."

Ramon nodded gratefully and then voiced his questions, "Glenn, I want to ask, what is going on in this survivor base? This was supposed to be a prison, wasn't it? Who is the leader, and why is everyone so well equipped?"

Glenn smiled slightly and then pointed to the main prison structure not far away, "Wow, you have a lot of questions, I'll be brief in answering them. The leader of this place is named Airon, many call him captain due to the fact that he was a former soldier, as for what we are doing in this place, obviously it is surviving."

"Many of the people in this place are common survivors, this place was modified following the intuitions of the leader who had mobilized everyone to obtain this result."

"How many of you are there?" Asked Jasmine, who was standing behind Ramon.

Glenn thought about it and answered with an uncertain tone, "In this place we are some 350 people. The exact number I never cared to know."

Hearing these words, everyone nodded with understanding. Ramon was the most observant, he asked, "In this country, are there other places like this?"

Glenn touched his head and said, "Well, people with class two authority are rushing to open new shelters to protect people everywhere, but we're not sure about the situation elsewhere."

"That's impressive..."

"Well, let's not say unnecessary words, come I will show you something very exciting."

Everyone looked at each other with curious expressions and under Glenn's guidance everyone felt shocked in the same way as yesterday, and even from Glenn they learned that there were currently tanks, armored vehicles and even Apache helicopters and cargo helicopters.

After hearing Glenn's words, several people were stunned for a moment and soon arrived at the main residential area. Unlike the unit they were living in, the surroundings of the main residential area kept them from looking away!

The interior had been basically completely renovated. The white walls and hard bunk beds in the single room have been replaced with comfortable multi-functional bunk beds. The iron doors in each cell are long gone, and all have been replaced by closed doors with wooden windows.

The floor is no longer gray and black concrete, the interior has been replaced with a wood floor, and the exterior corridors are tiled.

Along with the energy-efficient lighting system and subway water system, several people even saw a bathhouse.

Ramon could remember how he returned to his room, looked into the dark and dank prison next to him, and the desire in several people's hearts could not be contained.

"Ramon, we must stay in this place. We can't find a better place than here." Jazmin looked at Ramon with a straight face. They had been wandering the road back for too long.

Some people next to them also looked at them and expressed their thoughts.

Just as several people were arguing intensely, they suddenly heard a burst of whistling in the main courtyard outside!

"Beep! Beep!"
