Chapter 65 - The problems continue

"Everybody shoot!" Shouted Rick as he opened the door of the truck and shot all those people in front of him.

Seeing that the opponent had no good intentions and had shot Airon, Elias and the other soldiers took it upon themselves to eliminate the drivers according to Airon's orders.

Jim and Daniel aimed their assault rifle at the survivors without hesitation and pulled the trigger directly.

Bullets shot out of the muzzle of numerous weapon arms, and a series of blood mist suddenly appeared on the bodies of the armed people, and instantly many were killed on the spot.

"Everybody move!" shouted a man in the back of a pickup truck before being mowed down with a bullet between his forehead.

Airon wasted no time and dropped to the ground with the woman's corpse being used as a shield, bullets slammed in his direction and he also returned fire quickly.

"Shit!" feeling a bullet damage his left arm, Airon's expression cooled down and he kept firing.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The scene after a few seconds was silent for a moment, although the deaths of all these people had their own factors, no one in Airon's group hesitated to shoot and kill, which made the hearts of the survivors on the bus tremble.

Airon pushed the corpse in his hands and stood up, looked at his bleeding man and walked forward with a cold look on his face. Holding a pistol, he watched as the body of a survivor writhed on the ground in pain and fired without hesitation.

"Bang!"

Every now and then bullets shot out of the barrel of Airon's gun, aimed at many still agonizing on the ground. Walking slowly forward, Airon looked down at a duo of men crouched on the ground as they trembled.

"What the hell were they trying to do?" Airon asked in a deep voice. Hearing the words coming from his side, the two men turned away and knelt on the ground.

"Please don't kill us sir!"

"We really didn't want to do this, but we were doing it to survive!"

Airon looked at these two men begging for his life, feeling very angry. This was the first time he had encountered enemies who were after not only his life but also his things, he knew this could happen but it was too soon if he thought about it.

Now that it had happened, Airon didn't plan on leaving any of them alive, he looked towards his group coming towards his direction and without hesitation he shot a man.

"Bang!"

The remaining man who saw his companion being killed, closed his eyes in fear and said, "I'm so sorry sir, please let me live."

"It's okay, I'm a fair person, tell me what the hell they were trying to do and where they came from."

Hearing Airon's words, the man trembled slightly and began to tell everything he knew. He attentively answered every question Airon asked him, all his words made him angrier and angrier.

It turns out that the man on the ground is called Roberto, this one belonged to a group led by some mobsters and ex-cops who gathered enough people to form a group and protect themselves from the walkers.

Their movements were not many, mainly looting nearby stores and robbing survivors in small numbers. However, recently as the walkers were moving out of their area they began to act more frequently.

Once they looted a gun store, they began to murder smaller groups in search of food and resources. Once the trucks they drove were completely full, they would head back to their safe haven to unload everything they had stolen from others. But recently their move was much bigger, three large military trucks were looted using the same tactic they did with Airon's group.

Once the soldiers were taken by surprise, they were imprisoned and taken with the group as hostages. There were a lot of weapons and military resources in those trucks which made the group increase their ambition, when they saw the trucks of Airon's group they made the decision to rob them.

From their words, the group that had been eliminated by Airon's people was the main force of the group he belonged to, so Airon immediately thought of what to do next.

"Sir, counting this person in front of you, 26 out of 27 people were killed, all of our people are already taking the weapons and resources they were carrying!" Elias said with a grim tone.

The scene where the survivors, people who should be saved by them trying to assassinate them left him with a very chilling feeling. He understood now that people were forced to change and now there were nothing like laws.

"Alright, load everything and once you are ready we will make a slight detour, apparently there are comrades being held prisoner by these people." Airon said as he lifted Roberto and pushed him towards the trucks.

"Understood sir!"

Rick, who watched all this with a very deep feeling inside, saw Airon's bleeding arm and pointed out, "You're bleeding badly, we need to dress the wound and keep it from getting infected."

"It was a small shot that passed near my arm, are you okay?" asked Airon with a natural touch, by Rick's face, he is definitely a little affected by what happened in this place.

"Yeah, what do we do now?" Rick tried to deflect the topic and asked seriously.

"We will move towards the base of these people, apparently they have a group of soldiers as prisoners, we need to rescue them before we leave here." Airon said as he watched as Elias was massaging Roberto with his boots and hands.

"Very good."

Rick, who was a little slow due to the shock he received from those people a moment ago nodded his head. He was now aware that the walkers were not the only enemies of their group, Airon was always right to show no mercy to the enemies at any time.

...

In a building, there were some people with guns in their hands walking around while smoking a cigarette. "Damn it, can we ever go with the main group?"

"We must guard this place, we can't all go out at once." Said a man with a long head.

"What shall we do with the prisoners? We should get rid of them, they have several mouths to feed."

"Haha..."

Just as they were about to move, two bullets pierced their heads silently, with a mist of blood, both bodies fell silent to the ground lifelessly.

During this period of time, numerous people were killed in a matter of seconds by Elijah's good aim. When the way was clear, all the soldiers entered the building and began to do the job.

As the operation unfolded, Airon looked off into the distance at the group's convoy, by Elias' words he wanted to lead the operation and finish off the enemies without exemptions while he received medical attention on his arm.

Airon who watched everyone's expressions and decisive movements smiled slightly with satisfaction. His group is definitely getting bigger and bigger and very soon he won't have to worry about the results of every mission he asks for.

"Looks like you were right Roberto, this place is definitely the haven of your people!" Letting Roberto sit on the ground, Airon looked at him with a cold expression.

"You're going to let me go right? You promised, didn't you?" Roberto asked with a frightened expression.

"Yes, but no one else in my group promised to let a rat like you Roberto, good night." Airon said as he walked forward.

"No, no, don't kill me, I'll definitely be useful to you, please."

Roberto's screams got louder and louder, his every word was full of desperation and desire to survive, but Airon wasn't going to leave him alive.

"Bang!"

Turning his head, Airon looked at Rick who took over Roberto and continued walking forward and pulled the radio out of his vest.

"Zz... Sir, everyone was eliminated, we were able to rescue eight comrades who were incarcerated, they all wore their badges and were in one room." Elias' voice came out of the intercom.

"Alright, inform them about the situation and let's take all the useful things from this shelter, we have to move fast!" Hearing that everything had been resolved, Airon signaled the group to start moving and support the others with resources.

The military's trucks were filled with food and weaponry, then the bus was also filled and everyone began to leave again for the prison.

By now, the convoy had grown to seven large trucks. This trip definitely had its good results and definitely beneficial experiences for the group.

...

No one, in any group, could say that they spent the night peacefully.

"No! Dad, have any of you seen my dad? I can't find him anywhere!"

The next morning, everyone was awakened by Beth's exclamation. Glenn was the first to wake up. Looking at Beth, who was dying of anxiety, he first tried to reassure her.

"What's wrong, Beth?"

"I woke up a while ago and I couldn't find my dad anywhere, quite possibly he left before we all woke up!" Beth's tone was in tears.

Glenn looked around and discovered that the place where Hershel slept last night was actually empty. Glenn eyed the stairs suspiciously, "Have you looked around the house yet?"

Nodding, Beth was silent and not knowing what to do, she simply sat on a couch and wept silently.

Daryl silently picked up his crossbow, grabbed his knife and walked to the door.

"I'll go out and get him."

Shane also came to this point, seeing that Daryl was about to leave, he quickly stopped him.

"Daryl, don't rush, let's go together, get your stuff and let's go!"

A short time later a group of people rushed out of the house and everyone began to search without getting into the car. Under this situation, they all decided to follow Daryl who was the most experienced in following traces.

Looking at this, learning that Daryl was the key to finding her father, Beth also followed him silently.

Daryl didn't walk fast, but his eyes roamed the entire path, looking for every detail that would give him a clue as to where Hershel had walked, and he kept moving forward after seeing more clues.

After walking like this for about twenty minutes, several people walked up to the door of a bar. Daryl didn't speak, but motioned Beth behind him to step forward and enter.

Without hesitation, Beth opened the front entrance to the bar and there was an old man in a white shirt sitting inside the bar, and the only old man with those features was Hershel.

Beth cried tears of joy, ran into the bar, ran after Hershel and hugged him, calling him daddy in a low voice.

Patricia on one side also came in to support him, for her the most important thing is that everyone is okay.

The rest of the group smiled at this, for them a warm family scene was rare today, even Daryl showed a little more emotion, but that was only a fleeting scene.

When Daryl looked that all was well he wanted to return to the car, when suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a person on the roof not far away.

"Everybody down!"

Daryl was the first to lunge at Glenn and Lori in front of him, and Shane also leaned in quickly with automatic reflex. Only Morgan, Richard, and Jimmy didn't react immediately.

"Bang bang bang bang!"

Everyone finally heard the bursts of gunfire not far from their direction.

After a burst of gunfire, they could all only see sawdust and dust flying around them, bullets were still being discharged in their direction, there being numerous impacts next to them.

Darryl, who threw them both down, shouted loudly, "Get in the bar, we must not stay in this place!"

After speaking, he crawled toward the bar on hands and feet, and the others mimicked him and moved quickly.

Glenn looked to his side and discovered that Jimmy had been shot and fell to the floor, there was no sound, while Richard was clutching his arm in pain.

Glenn had no intention of lending a hand, and quickly climbed over the bar. He was huddled in the corner and staring straight ahead with vigilance.

Shane, who had climbed up on the bar on the other side, then lay down on the floor and held out a hand to Richard, who groaned on the floor.

"If you don't want to die, take my hand!"

Richard might be considered normal, but like any person in a life or death moment, he could still move and in an instant he released his hand, his hand covered the wound and reached out with difficulty towards Shane's direction.

Shane saw the bright red blood on Richard's hand at first glance, leaned forward and grabbed his wrist.

"Ah!"

As he exerted force, Shane was unable to pull Richad quickly, Daryl at his side had finally moved off a wall. As he looked at the situation, he rushed to help.

Finally with the help of two people they dragged Richad to the other side of the bar. Daryl looked at Jimmy outside the door and saw that the other party was completely dead, so there was no need to help him.

"Jimmy's fucking dead!"

After Daryl's exclamation, Glenn turned his head back outside and then looked at Hershel who was hugging his daughter tightly.

Shane took the time to treat Richad's wound, he checked and discovered that his arm was pierced by the bullet and his expression was much improved ale cover that everything was better than he expected.

"Richard, old man, the good news is that the bullet went through! The bad news is that you have some serious bleeding, the bullet should have damaged an artery. I'll try to stop the bleeding first, you may not last long, I need you to stay still!"

"I... I won't move buddy..." Richard said with a pale expression. If at that moment he hadn't let Lori out, this wouldn't have happened.

.

As he spoke, Shane quickly cut the marl off Richard's shirt with a knife and then quickly made a tourniquet around the wound. Looking around, Shane discovered that Hershel was still sitting there, and there was a bottle of alcohol next to him.

He picked up the bottle of wine and poured it over Richad's wound.

"Ahhh... Dude, dammit!"

As the wine flowed through the wound, Richard's face instantly grew paler and he gritted his teeth, enduring the burst of intense pain from the wound, exclamations of pain could not be contained from his lips.
