Chapter 60 - Eliminating the last walkers

"Looks like the walkers are dwindling in numbers, these should be the last of the horde." Billy Fisher looked outward and couldn't help but say.

After grabbing magazines and equipping himself to the limit, Airon nodded his head and said, "Time is not to be despised, let's eliminate the walkers on the street carefully and quietly."

Picking up the rifles with silencers, Elias who was an expert at taking down targets at long range settled on a sale and began firing, with accurate and silenced shots many walkers began to fall to the ground.

This time the assault rifle in Airon's hands was a modified AR-15 with double magazine, his M4 he decided to carry on his back due to the fact that he wanted to make a change for this situation.

"Focus on the walkers in the truck where we will upload the resources!"

"Interado!" Elias and his other companions who were now working under Airon's orders were in charge of eliminating all those walkers. After all, their marksmanship might be just right and the job of eliminating walkers was not at all heavy compared to loading resources.

"Reloading!"

After things were in order, Airon went downstairs and decided to help move the weapon crates from the basement to the second floor.

"How's it going?"

George, who was taking a breath while moving a large box of ammunition, looked up at Airon and nodded his head. He was calm now that everyone started moving, and he really wasn't bothered by the remaining walkers on the street.

"The team upstairs started to take care of the walkers outside, we can start moving with more speed." Airon said with a serious look, he put the gun aside and walked down the stairs to the basement, he picked up a box and said, "Are you tired already Rick? Pretty soon we'll be back to the prison and you'll be able to see your family."

"Yes..." Rick replied with a smile and went upstairs with a box of supplies. He was really doing all of this for his family and to survive, so now he was working for the future of his friends and loved ones.

"How's the situation outside?" Rick asked as he climbed the stairs.

"The situation is being controlled by Elias and the others, there is nothing to worry about."

Some time later, all sorts of boxes were piled one after another near the door so that they could be taken out quickly once the door was opened.

"I think it's time to get out and get all this stuff to the bus as soon as possible, we'll have a long ride to the prison." Said George with a sweaty face.

Placing a box on the floor, Airon nodded and walked in search of his weapon. Now the time had come to leave, no one wanted to waste time in this place if they could get out now. In this situation he knew when they might encounter another horde of walkers.

As Airon picked up his rifle, he stood in front of the door and said, "I'll lead the way, you guys wait a moment and when I give you the signal you can start loading the supplies onto the bus."

Everyone nodded without saying anything, after seeing that everyone understood what words, Airon raised his rifle and opened the door as he stepped out.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

With three precise shots, the walkers closest to the door were taken out with headshots, blood splattered and then those walkers fell to the ground.

Airon opened his eyes vigilantly, looking around for walkers, his job was to clear the path in blind spots where Elias and the others don't reach.

"Bang! Bang!" With two more shots, two more walkers were eliminated the instant they were spotted.

All over the street, numerous corpses could be seen who were eliminated by the group on the second floor, Airon paid no attention to those and then signaled the group to move forward.

Seeing Airon's confirmation, they all smiled and moved towards the bus to start loading the supplies that were taken out of the basement.

Back to Airon's thoughts, Airon began to think about everything he had planned before all this started.

First of all, he thought about working out.

Whether it was to perform this operation at the points where he gathered supplies or to survive the final day of this world, a strong body was very necessary. Because of his bewilderment about his arrival, he felt a strong desire for a stronger body and strangely felt that even now his body demanded more of him than he needed.

At least when he discovered that he was in this world and got memories of the future, he knew that he needed a body much more in condition than the one he had then. He knew he needed strength to run, and every morning as long as he was not in an operation he would diligently strive.

He knew that exercise increased the need for food, but that was not currently a problem considering all his efforts for today.

The second thing he thought about was food, he and his future group needed a lot of food to survive, the boxes of food at all the points he had prepared before the final day were proof of his concern.

He was aware that a lot of training and formation required a lot of food, so that was an important point. During the transport from Atlanta to the prison, Airon made every effort to have food brought from many supermarkets to the prison.

In the future, many survivors will be the first thing they look for, with the passage of time and food rotting away, the most important issue in the future, food, has to be considered.

In theory, there will be no shortage of food, but that cannot be assured in the future. As the community continues to grow, the demand for food would be greater and greater.

"Elias, come down now and support me in clearing the walkers in the vicinity!" Without caring about making noise, Airon programmed himself like a machine and began to fire at a high speed.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Every bullet that came out of his rifle went towards a walker's head, with a concentrated repair the elimination was brilliant.

"Roger that, Captain!" Elias replied in a clear and strong voice.

The group of four soldiers had already recovered from the weakness in their muscles, the food and vitamins they ate slowly returned their strength.

"I cover the right flank!"

"I'll take care of the vision!"

One by one, the soldiers deployed properly and it was then that Arion no longer cared about eliminating walkers, he looked at George and said, "Go and take care of getting into the driver's seat, we have to establish a new way back considering the large hordes of walkers."

"Understood sir!"

Due to limited time to stay in this direction, Airon didn't want to waste any more time and started loading two to three crates of supplies at a time. At the last military base they had left many things behind, but this time they could not make the same decision.

This point was not only important, there were large quantities of medicines that could not be found some time later. Therefore, no matter if they decided to kill hundreds of walkers, Airon would take the resources from this place.

"These are the last boxes, Airon!" Rick said as he walked out with the others.

"Alright, everyone get in the trucks and let's get out of this place!" Airon put down his assault rifle and decided not to get in the trucks, he grabbed an m249 machine gun and climbed into the truck carrying the tank.

Taking the radio, Arion decided to turn it on and climbed onto the roof of the tank, sat down and secured it so as not to fall off and also put on a mask. After looking around, his gaze was fixed to the front ready to lead the way.

Due to the structure of the front truck, he needed to somehow support the outpost and also wanted to get a clear look at the road.

"Zz... This is Airon, start moving now on the path that is planned, we will deviate if we meet walkers on the way." Arion said in a serious voice.

"Understood sir!"

With the roar of the engine, two large cargo trucks and a bus began to move quickly. This place was a bit narrow which made it difficult to advance, but slowly everyone was picking up speed.

Just when Airon thought everything was under control, a call for help came over the radio: "Hello.... There's someone there, help..."

Airon looked down and looked at the radio on his chest, he had remembered that he left the general and most known channel so that civilians could find him, during this time they had helped many civilians but after parting ways with Shane, no one else communicated with them.

"If we consider everyone enemies, then when we meet new people we should treat them as such."

With this thought in mind, Airon picked up the radio and said, "This is Captain Airon Darcy of the Army, what is your status right now? Over."

People would not trust other people, but they might trust the military. After all, it's been a very short time since the system went down.

"We need help... Please!"
