Does anyone know how a traitor or imposter can be discovered? Easy, by fear, money, power or survival. Airon knew he had neglected the central base for a long time, and by leaving it in Rick's hands, he needed a unique method to know who was loyal to him and who was not.
Right now many people have abandoned the beliefs he fights for, the values the soldiers who protect this place are raised by, and the dignity that had never before been trampled upon as it was now.
Do they really think it is that easy to take over the central base?
How naïve, they are all naïve people who fell into a dark and smoking pit where they can never come out alive.
"They have all fallen!"
...
Central base.
Inspection room, inner middle area.
The expressions of Shane and the others startled the rebels on their backs.
"Who the hell are you people?"
But at that moment, two armored cars pulled up right behind the group and people in masks and red suits got out as their guns were raised toward the people who were pointing them at Shane and the others.
"Put the damn guns down or we'll kill all these people!"
Seeing how the situation had become sensitive, the man who was the leader of the rebels and had planned to subdue the people who had entered the base became nervous.
What is going on?
There are apparently two sides that have different ideas!
Something is wrong!
The rebels who had taken control of Shane and the others looked toward those people in red suits and threatened to kill Shane's group.
Abraham watched all this in silence, obviously taking over this base would be impossible as most of it is made up of military. He was sure of what had happened, but the thought of it was unreal to him even if it was attempted.
How is it that a group of at most 100 people could subdue over 5000? In situations like that, even if it is 300 enemies, with over 500 people attacking at once, they would win even if there are losses. Therefore, above those ideas or plans, there are threads that move everything silently.
"Those people in red suits..." Abraham muttered next to Shane.
"Yes, they're not normal at all and I've never seen them before, but those seals on their shoulders are from our organization." Shane looked at those men who were silently listening to the rebels' threats.
"I get it..."
Abraham looked at Shane and said, "The commander is doing a cleanup, a big fucking cleanup Hahaha."
"Put the fucking guns down now!"
One of the rebels was panicking, he knew that the suits these people in red had are advanced combat. That kind of suit is only worn by elite soldiers, the ones who are always on the battlefield.
But just as the rebel was about to lose his patience, a deep and very calm voice was heard from inside a car, "They must think they have won, damn traitors."
As the voice came out, a young man in a bulletproof vest looked towards the group of rebels and said, "It's a surprise that they were so stupid and predictable, your moves were studied and in the end you all fell into the simple trap proposed by Airon..."
"Tyler!"
"What's going on?"
Hearing this question, Tyler said, "Airon is testing the loyalty of everyone on the base, that doesn't include you guys percent. Every single one of you is loyal, and that's something even I'm clear on."
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"I'll be very brief with this, Airon was gone a long time but for those of you who know him you know that in the beginning he liked to study people, he would look at the faces around him, he knew down to the mole on their ass and always knew what they were thinking."
Tyler signaled for the Red Force soldiers to lower their weapons, but this simple action made the rebels much more nervous.
"But as you know, Airon was gone for a long time and left Rick in charge. At that time he also left you, Shane, the base in Georgia. Everyone is getting it, right?" Tyler looked at the rebels who had gone silent and advised, "You have done nothing wrong, possibly if you now listen to what I am about to say there may be another outcome..."
"Well, as I was saying, Rick was left in charge of the S.C.T. central base and as people joined this base, very few people knew who Airon was. What makes him so important? Because I have to follow the rules and work? How do you earn a class 3 authority?"
"Rick is a good leader, but his wife was an annoying burden that limited him and didn't let him do his job. For that I had to call his friend Shane, to take over to supervise his friend's actions and because of that Elias took your place. But everything is still the same, even though it bothered you too, you didn't get involved because of the fear of losing a friend."
Tyler took a few steps forward and said, "So, I had to do the job of supervising each person who lived among us. It was a small personal report I would give to my good friend Airon, but then things were changing a lot. Can you believe it, three leaders kidnapped by a bunch of idiots who have never in their fucking lives entered into an armed conflict."
"Do you know what I came to think when I heard that three important captains of the base were captured with ease? I got angry, how can I not? It seems I'm the only one who truly understands Airon and knows the burden we share since I'm aware of it."
"And now that Airon is here, he will do a cleansing where all those who betray him will be eliminated. A quick way to cleanse the bad wound, cut it out without the need to search one by one. I guess it will be over by now, all those who wanted to betray Airon should have been counted."
Shane looked at Tyler and kept silent, he knew this guy who was only in the operating room and they are in charge of having contact with all the bases, an amazing talent.
Abraham on the other hand looked at this situation and couldn't help but let out a laugh, "Hahaha, how come you don't know about this Shane?"
Tyler signaled and said, "Of course it was secret, only me, Hershel, Glenn, Maggie, Negan and Rick knew about this operation. Airon refused to tell you because he thought you would kill the infiltrators by mistake, that would be very bad luck."
"Infiltrators?" One of the rebels looked at his comrades with vigilance and shouted, "You're lying, we already have everyone under control so it looks like things didn't go their way."
"Ha, you mean the guns in your hands? Haha, they're fake. Well, the one your leader had was real since that was our infiltrator, wouldn't you think that Airon's soldiers and trusted people betrayed him? Haha, that shit is hilarious."
At that moment, a dozen rebels realized that the problem was wrong. How did these guys change their weapons?
But the current situation doesn't allow them to think about it anymore, if their weapons are fake that means many of them rebelled and betrayed Airon's trust for nothing.
"A damn trap?"
"Impossible, right now we will see if the weapons are fake or not." When one of the rebels said this, he pointed at Tyler and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The sound of the gun rang out, but no projectile hit Tyler. With this, they all felt a chill invade their bodies and they all dropped their weapons.
"They give up so soon? I thought they would put up more resistance, well, they make my job easier." Tyler looked at one of the Red Force soldiers and said, "Put them under arrest, Airon will enjoy torturing them in public for all to learn."
"Yes, sir."
The rebels panicked in an instant.
One of them made a shaky voice.
"How...how...what happened?"
No one could answer him, and this situation made many of them lose their senses. How come they thought to kill Airon and take over the central base?
They had all fallen into a simple trap, how come they were so easily fooled? They had planned it, many of them wanted to take control of the base due to the fact that they thought Airon was a selfless man.
"Sir, I think everyone should meet at the main square where everyone is gathered. I'll fill you in on what happened, it's not as bad as it actually looks."
"I understand, let's go." Shane wasn't upset, in fact, he had been very vigilant about the people who had come to the base from Washington, and now that Airon was in charge, he was very calm.
As he spoke, he stared at the expressions of several people and found that they were all showing hesitant expressions, and he was secretly happy.
"It's a pity, but will all of you suffer the worst of tortures? Let's say you rebelled since you are from another organization, how can you deny that?"
"That's impossible!"
"We are from this base, we have never been to another base before, let alone served another organization!"
"Haha, you'll have to prove that."
