Chapter 275 - The Arrival

Washington, Alexandria community.

After discovering that Hilltop and the Kingdom had been suppressed by a group of unknown forces, George and his group rushed back to Alexandria. And only upon seeing that everyone in the community was okay were they relieved.

Those who didn't get out didn't know what happened, Bob and the others got out of the trucks with a worried look on their faces just in time to be seen by Deanna who had just arrived to greet them.

"What was it that happened, why do their faces look so bad?"

Aaron, who had accompanied George's group leaned forward and said briefly what happened today, and then Deanna's expression as the seconds passed looked more and more serious, so he immediately suggested, "I think there should be a meeting. This matter should be known to everyone."

Nodding, Deanna was about to respond when she heard the sound of a convoy engine coming from the door again.

"Quickly, everyone stands by alert level three!"

Today, in Alexandria, each watchtower was equipped with a heavy machine gun and Humvees on base were placed at strategic points, while weapons were issued to everyone. Although most people who are not soldiers or have gone through combat training are not used to carrying weapons, they have accepted that this must be done to increase everyone's safety.

The voice coming from the door, and everyone's originally tense nerves relaxed, and the owner of the voice was Airon who had returned to Alexandria.

The hundreds of people who were nervous about not knowing what had happened seemed to find reassurance in the person they decided to follow, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief, in their opinion, no matter how complicated things might be, as long as there was Airon in the group, they could definitely win no matter what challenges came their way.

And indeed, when the main gate opened, a modified RV and several trucks with Humvees with machine guns entered the settlement, and through the glass, everyone could see the face that made them feel at ease.

...

After understanding the current situation in detail, and comforting helpless Jesus, who was already losing his peace of mind, Airon showed a familiar smile to everyone.

"Listen, I already know the general situation and will start assigning plans next."

"For now, we will divide into four groups, and each group will be responsible for different things. But for now, I'll explain the original plan."

Soon, everyone got their own missions, including the natives of Alexandria and those from Noah's former community who had mostly become soldiers.

Based on optimal strategies and willingness to leave this place, a group of people not only skilled but also willing to do anything were selected, and the rest stayed in the community. Airon needed these people to make some not so dangerous preparations for now.

After the time was getting shorter, Airon sent a hundred soldiers back to Atlanta together with Elias, who right now should be in the growth base ruling as a leader. And this is because there were people who learned enough things to make the presence of the soldiers unnecessary for now. And it was also that there were some things that needed their attention.

That night, in the conference room.

Deanna and Alicia's family were gathered in front of Airon, as were Merle, Jon, Liam and a few more senior leaders. After having a mutual understanding over the past few months, although people like Spencer or Aiden who don't like to see Airon much, they recognize his abilities so they were at the meeting.

"Okay, that's it for now Deanna. You will leave today and Merle along with someone else will send you towards that point. When you arrive with those people, you must remember every word in the file you were given. Maybe those people will question you for a long time, but you must not worry, they will not hurt you."

Alicia looked at Airon with some sadness. Although in the last three months they had a lot of rigidity in their relationship, also personally they were the best days in recent times she had had. She is a little sad to be moving away from this place, but at least she is comforted that her family will be in good hands. But she also has some expectations, she believes that the Commonwealth is where she will be able to have a better development.

At the same time, after some deliberation, Airon finally decided to send two more people to the Commonwealth. It is not impossible to have Deanna and Alicia's family alone, but considering his two useless sons, although these two boys were trained for a while, their stupidity can create a lot of problems for him if he decides to send them.

And in these cases Merle is arguably the best person to protect this operation, provided Daryl is by his side of course. Although Merle has performed well so far, his wild nature is somewhat difficult to change. It is impossible to determine if he won't have some other ideas in the future, but with his younger brother by his side, Airon believes Merle will have a required demeanor.

In addition to Merle, he needed someone professional like Jon Seda, this brother who from the beginning has followed him is perfect for the role. Besides being a good soldier, he is experienced and knows better than anyone else many of the things that others do not.

For this reason, he deliberately sought out Jon, and after a conversation, Jon agreed very happily, which surprised him. When he asked why, the other party only said one sentence.  "You are the most visionary person I have ever met."

...

And with that, Airon believes that these two people will be enough to make the trip to the Commonwealth much smoother.

Watching a military truck drive away with seven people, Airon's mind quickly drifted back to Alexandria.

With Deanna's departure, the idiots of Alexandria split into two groups. In the original community before the arrival of Airon and his people there were no more than fifty people, and more than thirty chose to join the training group, and the remaining nearly twenty people returned to their daily duties in Alexandria without participating in what Airon was doing.

For these people Airon has a good plan, if they will not cooperate they will not get an ounce of their weapons, food or voice power. They are just workers with necessary tasks to sustain the shelter, and if they don't they will die in a deserved way.

With this, someone of Airon's trust was left in the care of these people and will make sure that they fulfill their tasks or else they will die.

With this, the security of Alexandria was left in the hands of eighty armed people, and more than one hundred and twenty who would leave were now gathered at the base. The others were sent back to Atlanta as their original jobs were required to further advance their organization.

All the people were summoned to the square, orders began to be issued one after another, these people were busy in an instant, everyone began to make their own preparations, and Airon was not idle, he led over 30 people and left the base in two vans.

The group did not go far, but arrived in the forest from the base. Several team members unloaded a few coils of steel wire from the van and then chose a place in the forest to fence off a four-story building with a radius of ten square meters, and T-doy held the lid of a metal trash can and knocked one after another.

The huge sound echoed through the forest, attracting all the wandering walkers. Several undead approached the wire, but these were firmly blocked. Their bodies kept rubbing against the steel wire, the dead flesh split open and spurts of thick, black, foul-smelling blood gushed out.

Whistle!

Michonne raised her sword and attacked, and the heads of several walkers lined up in a row were severed, and a little blood spurted from the neck cut, and then all the bodies fell to the ground with a thud.

"Cut off their heads, divide into groups of five and be responsible for the open sides next to their comrades! Be careful with your attacks, don't hurt your comrades."

"Yes, sir!"

With the sound of heavy blows from T-dog, more and more walkers slowly approached, but these walkers were blocked by the steel cables. Seeing this result, many were encouraged and attacked this time with more speed.
