In the midst of the daze and chaos, Morgan managed to get out the other side of the helicopter while dragging the wounded soldier. He took one last look at Airon who seemed intent on his next action and slowly retreated to the side unseen by the approaching crowd.
Airon on the other hand, raised his M4 with a modification perfect for close range combat, watched as the first person was approaching and after checking the targets in the vicinity opened fire.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Look out!"
With a scream of horror, the happy hearts of the people who were approaching tensed and just as they were about to see what was happening, bullets from inside the helicopter's cockpit rained down on them like raindrops.
Although Airon was dazed and with slightly impaired vision on his right side, his anger along with the determination he felt to kill all these people was unimaginable. Never, for as long as he has been conscious, had he wanted to kill a group of people so badly.
The helicopter had crashed on the side of what appeared to be a hospital, what these people didn't take into account was that a horde of walkers was nearby and it was a matter of time before they were upon them.
But as if all that wasn't important, Airon continued shooting with speed and a lot of agility at the people in the cars, it was only a short time before Airon took cover due to the enemy attack, but that didn't stop him from killing two other people.
"Horde of walkers!"
When one man shouted these words, everyone outside the hospital tensed up, they all looked at each other in dismay hoping to make the wisest decision to survive. But how could Airon let them go after killing so many of their own?
Unbeknownst to them, Airon had crawled on the ground, smearing his body with mud and blood, with the sole purpose of reducing the distance between him and the enemies on the other side of the street.
When Airon fixed his eyes on those people, he pulled his pistol from his holster and with precision pulled the trigger towards the men who were deciding what to do, this time he wasn't focused on anything other than killing, there was no one to take care of and now Morgan was probably far enough away to take care of himself.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Ahhh!!!"
Airon leaned his body against an abandoned vehicle, he lowered his gaze to the ground and saw the foot of a person on the other side of the car and aimed his gun before firing three times in a row, with the sound of the bullets the man on the other side screamed in pain and fell forward just to be killed by Airon with a shot to the head.
"Kill the bastard!"
As Airon was reloading his weapons, he heard the screams across the street not far from his position and from one moment to the next a hail of bullets was directed at his position. But being under cover, no bullet hit Airon's body.
"Three... Five... Eight and with those it will be twelve..." Airon muttered as he took two grenades from his vest and unlatched them, seeing where the shots were coming from he threw them.
"Boom! Boom!"
With the loud sound of two explosions, the car where the enemies were in burst into flames and the bodies of four people were torn to pieces. Some were not quite dead and wails of pain can be heard, but listening to the sound of the horde of walkers, Airon knew he would die just the same.
After seeing that there was no more time to continue to engage these people, Airon watched for a few more seconds before carefully moving to the cockpit of the helicopter and grabbing the remaining weapons. He didn't know how long he would be in this place, but one thing was for sure, he would need weapons and food which was what was in the helicopter's backpack.
After taking one last look at Billy Fisher's body, Airon took aim with his pistol and shot him in the head before running out of the helicopter in the direction of the hospital. From what he had seen, some people were in this building who were supposed to die no matter what.
But as Airon was about to enter the door of the building, a hail of bullets met him and one hit him in the vest. It could be said that Airon was lucky or those shooters were so bad that out of twenty bullets only one had hit him.
Having the adrenaline and time, Airon was able to take cover on a concrete wall that was in front of the hospital and quickly checked his wound to see if the shot was in the vest or in his body.
The pain in itself was excruciating, but what he was thankful for was that the bullet had hit his bulletproof vest. After the shots in his direction ceased, Airon grabbed his M4 and with suppressive fire towards the enemy went straight into the hospital.
At that moment, the walkers had invaded the area near the hospital and the people who still remained outside were horrified by the number of red-eyed walkers that arrived at their side.
Airon still had no intention of letting those people escape, taking another two grenades from his chest, he threw them towards the front destroying several vehicles and killing other people along with the walkers that had already reached their place.
But the walkers in the distance had not ignored the movements inside the hospital, some idiots even dared to shoot right at the horde of walkers. Most of them did not expect things to turn out this way, originally they wanted to kill the people in the helicopter and get out of this place before the walkers arrived, but one person had survived and this was the one who killed most of the group in less than ten minutes.
Airon was a man who would originally kill a person without a second thought, he had been doing it since the whole virus thing broke out. But then he began to slowly decrease the kills on his hands, all to keep a fair appearance in his group.
Everything had been going well, but that same mentality was slowly changing him. The CRM was a latent threat to a community with incredible growth potential like his was, so Airon set out to create a community equal to or stronger than the CRM.
It was evident that two lions cannot live in the same desert, once the CRM found its community the most likely behavior would be to destroy it. Kill and leave nothing alive, that was the CRM's behavior.
This constant pressure to survive and preserve before the future was something that changed Airon's decisions, he needed people and a powerful force, it was not enough to have twenty thousand soldiers, he had to have a power and dominion powerful enough that no one would dream of harming them.
Still Airon remembers the question Shane asked him, why would you go after those people?
Airon recognized the strength of the people, gave them time and training so they would become true survivors. They won't be a burden, a ballast or an anchor, they are people. And like Shane or Rick, they have friends and family.
All people seek to survive this new world and in the future have peace. Airon realized that when he abandons those he is asking for help, those who want to live even one more day, he will completely lose his humanity. And being someone like that will not differentiate his from the undead.
Airon did not want to wander the world without reason or purpose, he wanted to build a strong and united, cooperative and refined force. An organization that seeks to rebuild humanity on a slow and bumpy road.
But within all that perfect world, one would have to kill those who seek evil for his people, all who intrude on his complex and plans.
Looking at the men in the windows, huddled in constant fear of the walkers outside, Airon coolly felt and raised his pistol. Taking a deep breath, he fired into this group of surviving idiots.
"Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang!"
The bullets instantly killed this group of men, many didn't even know what had happened as their heads exploded in a mist of blood.
Just as Airon was about to turn around, the radio in the waistband of one of the men beeped and the voice came out of the intercom, "Zz.... What's all that sound in your area Malvin? The cult won't like their men dying for an idiotic assumption like finding a helicopter today..."
Lifting the radio off the ground, Airon pressed the intercom button and asked, "Zz.... Where did we meet? We were able to grab some interesting stuff, you'll like it..."
"Come to the temple, we'll stay one more week in this place before we pay the tribute to Teddy.... "
"Zz... I'll be at that place."
