Chapter 140 - Make a decision

"Who is there?"

Ravi Kapoor was a little intrigued, from what he had seen all the people who were supposed to attend this meeting had arrived except for the children, who else would be coming at this hour? No doubt his doubts were resolved when Airon walked in the door with a discreet smile on his face.

Since the meeting started he had been listening to the concerns and opinions of all these survivors, even now he was surprised that some of them did not want to leave this place so he could not help but get angry about it.

Will you die for the simple fact of your stubbornness?

Airon knew what would happen to all these people, even now he is risking not only his life but also the lives of his companions. But when he heard those words of mistrust and refusal to leave this place, at least he had to get it off his chest so he wouldn't feel guilty.

"Commander Airon! Did something important happen with the security, why are you here?" he asked.

Ravi looked at Airon as worries arose within his thoughts, at this time everyone stopped talking and looked at him silently.

Airon looked at all the people inside the church. He walked forward without any hesitation, lightly touched Ravi's shoulder and said, "No, luckily nothing happened, you have nothing to worry about buddy."

After saying that, Airon looked at everyone and said, "I apologize for listening to your private meeting! But thanks to that I now know your doubts, comments and views about my people. When I heard that you were all in this place, I had to come uninvited and help you understand my true intentions."

The whole group of people gathered began to shake their heads when they heard Airon apologize, no matter what their views are, but they are not idiots and would never go against an armed man, much less if the other party is polite.

Of course, the words Airon had just said are superficial and he really didn't care about such silly details if he thinks twice about it. When he saw that everyone was silent, he pulled out two pistols in his waistband.

When everyone saw Airon pull the guns out of his waistband before they could speak, they all froze and gathered a little closer together. They all fixed their gazes on the man's guns in horror, not understanding how things took such an unexpected turn.

"No, no, no, no, we must remain calm, I drew my weapon right now because my next words will be related to the use of this equipment." Airon smiled and then said in a clear voice, "Today is the first day of our group in this place, the purpose initially was to bring our friend Noah back home, then we will leave for our main objective..."

Through the slow and continuous words, it became easier for him to connect correctly with what he wanted to say. Pausing, Airon continued, "I heard they don't know the purpose of our goodwill, I understand them, even if I were in their position, I would wonder the same thing."

"Who are those clowns playing heroes when the world went to shit?"

"Haha, even sometimes I don't understand myself either but when those happen, I hold on to only one thing that I am very clear about since I knew about the walkers and that is to survive. Yes, I want to rebuild society and that is no longer a distant dream for me. Today, my people are currently protecting over four thousand people."

"I guess I don't need to tell you what my intentions are by presenting you with a cordial invitation to follow me?" Asking this, Airon's eyes paid among all the people and none of them dared to speak.

"Now, I will do it personally, do you want to join the S.C.T. community?"

Airon's words gradually surprised the people in the church. No one expected such a development of events, let alone that he would bother to slowly explain all his doubts. Then, some averted their gaze to Ravi.

Actually, at this moment Ravi was pleasantly surprised. He had originally supported the idea of joining the people of Airon. He had a very good impression of these people who saved Noah and all the respect they showed, they were an amazing group of people Regardless of whether they are military.

However, considering everyone's points in this church that they mentioned a moment ago Ravi still asked Airon, "Commander Airon, to be honest, we were just discussing just that topic, so I need to ask some questions on behalf of everyone."

"Of course I heard everything they said!"

"Some people are stupid enough to stay in this place abandoned by the world, do they really think it's safe to live here? For those families who don't want to move home they are just killing their family members."

When Airon said this, he advanced a few steps and handed a gun to a man, the man did not know what to do and unconsciously reached out his hand. Airon didn't let go of the gun at all and just rested it in that man's hand and said, "Would you kill your family?"

"How?" The man stammered when he heard that question from Airon.

"I don't want you to tell me explanations, yes or no, would you kill your family?"

The man averted his gaze to Ravi and the man only nodded his head for him to answer honestly. "No sir..."

"That's good, you love your family very much from what I can see. Now you, would you kill your family with this weapon?"

Airon went around asking the same question to the church people and just when everyone thought he wasn't going to stop, he looked at one man in particular with a serious expression and then asked, "Tell me friend, would you kill your family with this gun?"

"Do you think I'm afraid of you or do I feel threatened just now like the others?" The fleshy haired man looked at Airon with a cold sweat running down his back.

Airon's eyes cooled, he had hit on the stubborn one of the group and then said, "If a group of people come into this shelter, armed like my group did. They pose as good people and just when you hold a fucking meeting where you are still not clear on what the priorities are, that group of people gathers the kids in one spot and takes them hostage, Can you imagine something like that?"

The mood of the church cooled even more upon hearing Airon's words, everyone couldn't help but imagine Airon's group as a bad one right now.

Sensing everyone's thoughts, Airon smiled and said, "You don't have the foggiest idea of surviving or the people out there today. It's only a matter of time before the women in this shelter are taken, the men killed as well as the children."

"None of you can get your heads around the problem that is at hand in this place, so I'll talk a little more about those questions you have. All humans today have their value, work in my community and you will get food, everyone can contribute something and for the elderly also has a lot to contribute."

Ravi looked at Airon who was speaking strong and harsh words about reality. He understood that he could not do the same because he is not a leader but a communicator, he could not force these people to make a decision.

"If you follow me, I will protect your brothers, friends, and even your dogs. If a gun is pointed at you, I will stand in front of you and as long as I live I assure you that you will not lack food. That's all Ravi, I want to know first thing in the morning who will follow us, I can't stay long in this place."

"Yes sir..." Ravi nodded and watched as Airon left the church.

Just now everyone was deep in thought, even those families who didn't want to leave this place had ugly faces.

Airon did not give the others a chance to ask their questions, just now he had finished saying what he had to say without anything lingering inside his conscience. If they decide to stay, their deaths will not be regretted.
