Chapter 138 - Shirewilt Estates

After listening to Airon's explanation, gradually everyone had a general idea about the following plans. Mentioning that, Airon got an idea and thought about Noah's community, since they were heading to that place long before it was discovered that the Shirewilt Estates community was destroyed when Rick's group arrived in Richmond, for so now there was a chance they were alive.

Would it be possible to see how they would die and be able to avoid it so they could transform that place into a good refuge for their community? Airon was looking forward to that moment.

Currently the number in his group was too small even if Liam, Elias' friend, joined at the last minute, but he knew that long distance travel is not good to take many people, so naturally far from the territory they dominate they could take in the people they meet on the way and settle those people in Shirewilt Estates, increasing their number in Virginia.

If this were not to be the case, Airon was sure they would suffer a bit as there were so few of them. Although their current group included six military men and good survivors such as the Dixon brothers and Tyreese, they still numbered no more than sixteen people.

"My community is just outside of Richmond Virginia, should my family be living there I'm sure." Noah said with a nervous expression. It had been about half a year since he had left his family with his father in search of his uncle, so now he didn't really know what has happened to his family.

"It's okay Noah, I understand! George, set the route to Richmond."

"We're going to Richmond!"

Many people in the group who liked to have fun on the road raised their hands and shouted, of course, Carlos was the organizer of all these ideas.

"They do not let me sleep..." Daryl muttered with the corner of his mouth slightly raised.

Everyone in the group had supported Airon's idea as far as trying to find information, and if possible on the way to save survivors.

...

Three days later, just outside Richmond, Virginia.

A convoy of three large vehicles slowly stopped at the edge of a forest, and the group got out to see the surroundings more clearly. Since the trip began, Airon's group had been stopping at various locations and also encountered an old man named Harry and his grandson, these two were traveling in search of a safe place before they were welcomed into their group.

During this time, the journey was almost without pause, after all Airon did not want to waste so much time on this trip due to the fact that right now he did not have much time for his plans.

Seeing the place, Airon held his M4 and stepped out of the modified RV, he turned around and said, "Everyone carry your weapons, this is no time to play with cold weapons and don't fall asleep either. Sasha and Carlos, you two stay watch our cars and be on guard!"

"Come on, Noah, lead the way."

Before long, a group of people went through a forest and then passed through the outer circle of protective nets of barbed wire around this shelter, which had been wrapped in logs and then they all reached the edge of the forest.

"Noah, from everything you remember, are there any watchtowers or outposts in this place?" Airon looked at the walls not too far away, if there are people guarding the surroundings it's best not to approach for safety.

Hearing this, Noah thought carefully, he looked ahead where his group was and saw a tower not so tall so he nodded, "There is only one tower and it's near the gate."

Glenn held up a gun and looked ahead and confirmed there was a not so tall tower, then turned to Airon to check Noah's words.

"It's safest to go through the front door, they won't attack us if they recognize Noah." Daryl this time held up an assault rifle, this time they are up against something and it won't be walkers.

Following his words, a dozen armed people passed through a prepared path outside the Shirewilt Estates community, vegetation could be seen in the surrounding area and some structures inside the walls. Airon had wanted to go around the community to get a reconnaissance before deciding to go through the main gate.

The walls were made of metal and surrounded the entire area of this place. Noah was the first to run for the gate. Seeing the familiar door, he couldn't help but cut in and flashed a smile full of happiness.

He finally made it home!

Merle walked forward and looked at the red brick walls covered with some sheet metal in front of him, he looked at the excited Noah and said, "Hey dude! This wall shit that I can tear down with the strength of my amazing body is the great wall that you had mentioned before?"

Glenn and the others also approached and smiled at Merle's teasing, they too had imagined a wall just like the central base in the prison, while Noah, who was standing in front, was excited. All these days, he had been bragging about how amazing his shelter's wall was and now he was definitely embarrassed by Merle's sarcastic words.

"For God's sake, how many fifty-caliber bullets can this sheet metal take?"

Ignoring Merle's words, Noah walked to the door and was about to knock when he heard noisy footsteps coming from inside the courtyard, and a voice came from the door, "Who's there?"

Noah shouted excitedly, "It's me! Noah! I'm back!"

"Noah?" The voice at the door asked in disbelief, and then the door opened slightly.

A large man stepped out of the door, wielding a shotgun. When the man saw Noah, he recognized him at a glance and immediately smiled.

"Noah! Is it true what I'm seeing, thank God this is a miracle!"

The man rushed out the door and hugged Noah. In his words he was really surprised and excited, he calmed down some time later and looked at Noah, "Tell me, where is your father, did they manage to find your uncle, who are all these people?"

"This is a big black skinned family buddy, T-dog won't you find your grandmother lost in this shelter?" Merle turned to T-dog and smiled at him.

"Oh please, I told you she had no family. Besides, not all of us black people are family, well, we understand each other!" T-dog immediately got confused by the words.

"Ha, what nonsense."

Speaking of which, the man hugging Noah looked back at Airon's group with slightly visible eyes, and they finally settled on Merle who looked at him as he stuck out his tongue

Noah feared that the man would verbally offend these people, so he quickly introduced, "This is Ravi Kapoor and he is the one who stayed in our shelter when my father and I left this place to look for my uncle."

"So Mr. Ravi, these are some soldiers who rescued me in Atlanta and helped me get to this place safely.":

Noah then introduced Airon and his group one by one to Ravi. When he heard that these people were military and the leader was Airon, he looked at Airon with surprise.

"Oh my goodness, it is such a surprise to have military people in this place, on behalf of the Shirewilt Estates community I welcome you."

After a brief greeting, a group of people entered the settlement. Airon secretly observed the situation in the settlement. He found that the area was large, but there were not many survivors, and there was only one person in charge of protecting the settlement in a simple watchtower in front of the gate as Noah had said.

Some of the survivors on the road recognized Noah, but the appearance of Airon's heavily armed group left them a little afraid and they all began to gather.

Airon thought of Ravi's panicked tone just before he opened the door and thought that this place would soon fall to enemies just as it did in the original story. Ravi evidently knew something, so Airon approached this man to confirm something: "Sir, can I ask you a question?"

Ravi Kapoor who was talking to Noah on the road was surprised and then smiled, nodded and said, "Of course Mr. Airon, you can call me Ravi without any problem!"

"It's okay Ravi, just before you opened the door, I felt you looked a little more scared than usual, did you have any problems before we arrived?"

When Ravi heard Airon's words, he did not respond immediately, but showed an indescribable expression. He pointed to a house not far away and said, "We can go to that place."

Looking at the house in front of him, Airon couldn't help but turn his head to Tyreese behind him. This is the house where this big man was bitten in the original story. At the time, Tyreese was on the verge of death, but it was also one of the most epic deaths there was at the time. A great kind man, with airs and graces of leadership and caring in every way.

Tyreese didn't notice Airon's look, he was chatting with Bob, smiling and seemed to be in a good mood.

"Merle, get back to the convoy with Tyreese, there seems to be crows in the woods!" Airon looked at Merle and then nodded slightly.

"Fucking lucky, here I wanted to get to know this great city of my friend Noah!" Merle looked at Bob and Tyreese and they quickly followed him to the cars outside this shelter.

Airon smiled, he had been restless and apparently they arrived before this shelter was destroyed. Considering this, he realized it was a mistake to leave Sasha and Carlos alone with two survivors, a child and an old man, so he sent back support.

Daryl looked at Airon and then they all went inside the house to talk. Jon and George did not go in for the hunt, they stood and watched the survivors and then started handing out candy to the children.

As soon as the rest of the group entered the house, they saw a woman the same age as Ravi Kapoor who was packing some things, she showed an expression full of surprise.

Noah then reintroduced Airon's group and then said that he had to look for his brothers before running off.

Ravi Kapoor brought chairs for everyone and sat down while looking at Airon and said, "Sir, originally Noah came back thanks to your help, I didn't want to mention it now, but if you are actually military I hope you will help me. If they are here, I'd better talk about this."

Airon nodded and said nothing, waiting for this man to explain what it was that happened that made him so nervous.

"Our shelter has been built here since the whole virus thing started. In fact, we are more than before now. After the whole system crashed, we lost a few people before we figured out how that infected thing worked, but with the help of this construction we were able to survive to this day".

"But a few days ago, a team that went out for supplies suddenly disappeared. Seeing that they didn't return, I took a team out to search for them and see if an accident had happened. As a result, we found all the bodies of that group near a village, some of them had even turned into walkers."

Hearing Ravi's words, Airon nodded silently and discovered the anger contained in the man's words, he knew that it was difficult to accept the losses of comrades.

"But there was something strange about the corpses, there were not only walkers but also some who did not convert. My good friend Miguel had a strange W on his forehead, which he knew was not something normal people would do to a walker."
