"Are you okay?" a voice said from behind her, causing Cerys to jump out of her skin. She turned to look at the person who spoke and saw that it was Ryu, his face etched with concern. Still in shock, she quickly turned back to where the person had stood, only to find an empty vast space, as if they had vanished into thin air.
"Eloise..." He whispered, his voice barely audible.
"Don't call me that!" she snapped back, her anger simmering beneath the surface.
Ryu's expression hardened as he crossed his arms across his chest. "Don't talk to me like that, Pet," he retorted, his voice tinged with frustration. "What are you doing here all by yourself?"
