There was a gala which was coming up. It was more of a networking gala than a welcome ceremony which they claimed it to be. I had heard my father talk of it before but never really paid attention since l wasn't into those types of gala where you met boring people and began discussing business. I was into the type where you'd drink till you were wasted. I was very sure that that scum bag would definitely be there and that was where my revenge would start of. The gala was the following day and that's why l had pressured Clare to buy everything she needed by then.
"We are attending a gala tomorrow," l said while looking at the dresses she had bought trying to decide which one would look prettier on her. My eyes landed on a backless black dress which had a slit up to her hips and showed a curves really well.
"This one will do," l said as my eyes were fixed on the dress.
"Don't we need a pass to enter,"
She was right,we,at least her, needed a pass in order to enter.
"I'll figure it out, your job will to attract my ex-boyfriend. That shouldn't be hard, right?"
"Right," she said with a stern voice as she looks at me and the dress l was eyeing.
"One more thing,no falling in love with anyone you meet from now on till the revenge is over," if by chance she did she would become useless since she might not be able to achieve my goal. She would become vulnerable and might end up just like me.
"I won't,"
After our conversation she walked towards me and began arranging the new clothes in the closet.
I went out and began walking around the streets absorbing the beauty that l had never noticed since l was too occupied when l was alive that l never really gone around the place. The sun slowly set as the night took over. The moon seemed nearer and beautiful as it had a tinge of yellow. It was simply beautiful. I went to an open rooftop of a random building and began looking around the place.
*. * *. *. *. *.
I watched her as she applied the last bit of lipstick. She was simply beautiful. No man would be able to resist this beauty.
We walked to the car and she entered.
"I'll meet you there, let me go arrange how you'll enter the party,"
I watched as she drove off and l teleported to the party. I entered and began walking around. I immediately spotted Janine, a spoilt brat that got away with everything she did. She had been my number one enemy for the longest time ever. I never thought she would come in handy one day but l guess l was wrong. I possessed her and began walking around in search of that bastard,Lucian and the back stabber who l so adored once upon a time. I grab a glass of wine and just before l could walk straight up to them and pour the wine on their expensive clothes, l heard a voice in my head.
" Think twice, you wouldn't want to cause a scene now," it was him. Davin. Why was he talking to me? He wasn't supposed to meddle in my business here on earth. Was he?
I calmed myself and walked to the entrance where l spotted Clare walking towards the entrance with a nervous look. She was stopped by a bodyguard just as l expected. I walked right towards them.
"Is there a problem here?"
"She doesn't have a pass, we'll settle the issue so don't worry."
"Oh but l have every reason to worry,l told her to come and here you are trying to prevent her."
"I'm sorry ma'am but she can't enter as long as she doesn't have a pass."
I walk right up to him and whisper to his ear,
"I'm sure you know me right, and with just a snap of my fingers l can get you thrown out of here,so will you keep me waiting or will you let her in,"
I could spot a slight terror in his eyes. He knew better than to mess with Janine. He knew he couldn't test her patience since he depended on his job.
"You can enter,it was just a slight misunderstanding."
I walked to her and grabbed her arm and whispered my identity to her of which l knew she had already guessed but still l wanted to assure her.
"That's Lucian, my ex-boyfriend," l look towards their way hinting at her. " and that two faced bitch holding her arm is his girlfriend and my ex-bestfriend. They are currently the main target today."
"He looks..."
"Don't let the looks deceive you. He is as much dangerous as he is hot,"
