"Shark, are you there?" Dr. Carson asked the latter who was so lost in his own thoughts.
"How about I come and see you in person? That will be probably in two days time." Shark said abruptly giving up the idea of wanting to know more about the frozen bodies.
"Okay, I'll be waiting." She concluded and disconnected the call. Shark reached the top floor but the door to Shaw's office was closed. He tried to lift his hand just like Flower did a while ago but there was no sign of the door opening. Someone chuckled from behind and walked ahead of him.
"You're not registered in the biometric so, I'll do you the honor of taking you back to the Boss." Flower bit her lower lip and Shark smirked. She was an easy target and Shark needed her, a perfect tramp card just to get the inside history of Shaw's facility. There are many places he hadn't gone to but if he tried to ask Flower, he'd rise some suspicions provoking the tobacco guy. If Shaw was loyal to his claimed workers, they too had to be loyal. But one sweet proposal to the curvy damsel wouldn't cost Shark anything at all. He had his way around things. Shaw was just a mere scare, a snake that couldn't bite a woman's heel.
"Oh my sweetest flower, come to Daddy." Shaw coaxed Flower who didn't hesitate to saunter into his arms. Shaw touched the seam of her ass gently and she giggled. "Such treasure, she warms my bed every night you know." Shaw chuckled as Shark remained calm. He was sure not interested in the two displaying their so called affection in front of him.
"My dear Shark Griffins, sorry to disappoint you but my bad, you're going away without such precious assets." Shaw lamented, confirming Flower's beautiful curved body. "I nearly forgot you're hopelessly romantic, I hope the surgery goes as planned. It'll be a great success I assure you. And then after that, your patient will warm your bed mmh?" He let go of Flower having blubbered a lot. A lot that Shark didn't have to listen to. His main strategy was using Shaw's main bait to dig out some dirt in Shaw's closet.
"All the digits, will be dashed into your account once the surgery is done....and successful." Shark emphasized.
"Dr. Shaw has everything figured out. What are you waiting for? Bring her so we can get this over and done with." He then coughed. Flower hurried to the water dispenser and fetched him a glass of water. She then drank the water then spat it into his mouth. After the silly moments were over, Shaw realized Shark was long gone.
Shark hoped into his private aircraft leaving his men behind. Marcus hadn't yet called and he was starting to get worried and now that he thought of it, he gave the latter a call.
"Is Grasha taking of Yara? Marcus! What's happening?" Shark asked the latter who was afraid to receive the call and give him the devastating news about her. Since he was the Boss and he, his subordinate, he had to speak to him.
"Yara..."
"Marcus! I need you to tell me what's happening. Stop chickening out and tell me what the heck is happening!" He yelped.
"She's in a coma right now and I'm afraid she won't make it. Dr. Matt is taking care of the situation and he hasn't allowed any of us to intervene." He finally had the courage to speak.
"I shouldn't have trusted that doctor, he's an obstacle. Get rid of him immediately and have Yara brought to Aster Island. ASAP Marcus!" He summoned him and hang up.
"Turn back, I have no plans of going back. And please do some magic to those fucking flight attitude or else I'll throw you down and lift the aircraft on my own." Shark retorted and the pilot shivered.
At Aston Hospital, the director rushed to the High Dependency Unit to see Yara.
"What's happening Matt?" The worried face of the direct asked.
"She can barely breathe. If her heart beat goes down the normal pulse rate in two-three minutes, I'm afraid it will be too late." Dr. Matt said. He and two of the nurses were monitoring the vital signs of the cardiac event monitor. Yara convulsed several times due to the involuntary contractions in her body muscles.
"Please, stay with us." The director said a fervent prayer as he watched her condition deteriorate.
"Emergency CPR! Get ready in one minute!" Dr. Matt commanded the nurses who prepared themselves for the conventional CPR.
"Will she make it?" The director asked out of fear as he remembered how his brother died.
"I don't know..." Dr. Matt voice trailed as he began the chest compression on Yara. "No! No! Yara you have to stay strong." He completed the chest compression as Yara gave in.
"The rescue breaths!" The director recalled.
"She... didn't make it." Dr. Matt spoke with a stutter as he sighed deeply. He closed his eyes in pain as the nurses started disconnecting the suction tubes.
"Stop! Check the Cardiac machine.... she's breathing again." The director was quick to notice.
"Yara! Can you hear me. Yara!'' Dr. Matt felt her pulse and her hands suddenly moved. "Her hand moved, she's awake!" Matt marveled.
"Yara, open your eyes." The director neared her bed. Yara's eyelids opened and tears cascaded down her cheeks.
"Hey, you're awake. You scared us." Matt caressed her forehead and she strained to cough. "She has temperature probably from staying in the rain for too long."
"We should let her rest. The nurses will take it from here." The director urged Matt who was fighting back tears.
"Most probably, I need to change." He found his voice and walked out with the director.
"I'll be in my office." Director Stevens informed Matt.
"Yeah sure." Matt nodded and walked to the parking lot where he had his car parked. The sudden ringing of his phone made him halt, taking out his phone and receiving it.
"Hey honey, what time will you be back?" The excited Amber asked.
"I'm sorry I can't make it tonight. Something came up." Dr. Matt felt sorry to disappoint his wife over and over again.
"Of course here we go again. You don't even remember which day is it, do you?" Amber retorted back.
"Can we not talk about this please, I'll make it up to you. I promise." Dr. Matt sighed heavily.
"No, don't bother. Your work comes first or maybe I don't know you have numerous girlfriends to go home to. You can't even remember that it's our anniversary today. I prepared something for us but... forget I ever called." She then hang up on him. Matt had to call again but the call went straight to voicemail. He shook his with disbelief as he opened his car trunk.
