Chapter 44 - Chapter 43: The Finer Points Of Practice

The Backyard, The Peterson Residence, Fallon Creek, Michigan...

The basketball hoop outside in the backyard of The Peterson residence had been an old one, but still very useful as Casey Peterson and Rick Channon tossed about the newly pumped basketball and attempted to make use of the workout. They had finished their collective homework and saw their way to a friendly game of hoops in preparation for their being a part of the basketball team. Rick had not needed much practice as his playing was essentially second nature to him, but Casey had been in need of some work. They were both sweaty and panting by the time Helen Peterson pulled up after work and took note of them playing out in the backyard. She smiled as she saw them together her mind once more put at ease about the move when she'd seen the smile on her only son's face as he and Rick Channon continued to compete for the ball and Casey managed to put up a shot and sink it into the hoop.

Helen smiled as she watched them both playing as if they had known each other for years and that this had been all a part of their relatively normal routine. Curiosity had gotten the better of her as she ventured toward them wondering why the sudden interest in basketball for them both.

"Good afternoon boys," she said greeting them.

"Hi Mom," said Casey turning his attention to his mother as he panted a bit from the workout trying to get the ball from Rick had been.

"Good afternoon Mrs. P," replied Rick slicking back his hair and turning his attention to her as well.

He'd been shirtless and just as sweaty as Casey, who had been wearing a white men's tank top shirt along with a pair of black basketball shorts. His hair had also been slick via sweat and messy as he moved about the basketball court.

"You two will definitely need a shower once you're done," said Helen observing them and their various sweat stains. She ran her fingers through Casey's hair and smiled at Rick as she watched the two of them horse around before she got to her main reason for interrupting their game. "So, why basketball?"

"Coach Bert wants us both on the team," replied Casey.

Helen seemed to be caught off guard by this as she had known how uncoordinated her only son tended to be when it came to sports.

"And you're sure he's gonna let you play?" she asked Casey.

Rick smirked as he held the ball under his arm and placed a hand on Casey's shoulder to reassure him.

"We're a package deal, he doesn't play then I don't," replied Rick meeting Helen's gaze.

Helen seemed pleased to hear this as she'd still been worried about Casey adjusting to his new life in Fallon Creek.

"Well, I'll leave you, boys, to your practicing then," she said taking her leave of them. "I have to get dinner started anyway, have fun but not too much fun...I don't want any trips to the emergency room tonight I'm still tired from work."

Casey shook his head as Rick chuckled darkly in the back as they watched her go.

"Alright back to work," he said tossing the ball to Casey who had dreaded going back to playing.

They turned their attention back to the court and tried for a few more shots before nightfall.

Casey's Bedroom, The Peterson Residence, Fallon Creek, Michigan...

Lying on his back in the darkness of his bedroom, Casey Peterson had been unable to get much sleep, which wasn't in the least beneficial to his having to get up in the morning, but he'd been fortunate the weekend had been upon them. Dinner had passed with the three of them eating meat lover's lasagna and exchanging humorous anecdotes for entertainment. Rick had gone to bed early, no doubt after wearing himself out earlier in the day. Helen had gone second siting her having an early day and Casey shuffled toward his bedroom last after putting away the dishes and climbing the stairs. Both Rick and his mother had been out cold, he recalled taking a moment to peek in on them both before entering his own bedroom.

At the present moment, Casey had simply taken to staring at the ceiling, his body restless as he tossed and turned amid the pale moonlight. It wasn't in the least a full moon, as Rick would have had serious problems with his shifting, but it was enough to give a soft white glow to the younger lad's bedroom.

He supposed he had not thought moving to Fallen Creek all that bad in the grand scheme of things. His mother had been right about them needing a fresh start, of course, his having a werewolf for a lover had been an added bonus, in fact having a lover of any kind was a vast improvement from stimulation on long lonely nights via his own hand.

The happily contented Casey sighed as he recalled his various and rather spirited romps with Rick Channon while his mother and anyone else they had known had been none the wiser. It was strange to recall how he and Rick always seemed to be at odds when he first met him and then at the drop of a hat or rather the dropping of their trousers, both had become quite infatuated with one another.

The young lad smirked as he recalled how crude and vulgar Rick could be when in the throes of passion. He had been susceptible to a bit of dirty talk himself when taking the older boy's enormous werewolf cock and he thought it amusing, to say the least.

While he had some concerns about his lover's tendencies to bed the girls at school whenever the mood struck him, he was still in awe of how forthcoming he'd been about it. It wasn't as if he'd done anything wrong, they weren't official or anything but Casey had been more than a little jealous that Rachel of all people got to experience Rick's cock as much as he did. With a sigh, the young lad rolled onto his side and attempted to close his eyes for the night. He had no idea what the morning would bring, but he'd been looking forward to not having to wake up early for school for once.
