Chapter 30 - Chapter 29: Trouble On The Home Front

The Front Room, Dee Clark's General Store, Winchester Dr, Fallon Creek, Michigan.....

After taking his leave of Casey following their final sex romp that day, Alarick Michael Channon found himself getting more than an ear full from his worried godmother when she informed him that the school had called the house and everyone had been looking for him. She let him have it about not calling to say where he'd been the previous night and his lack of respect for her curfew rules. Rick simply stayed quiet and allowed her to unload on him. He could tell by the raised sound of her heartbeat that she'd been terrified that something happened to him. While he had not been an ideal "son" of sorts, she still cared for him, the only remaining piece of her dearest friend who had met with a tragic and unfortunate end. He didn't have the heart to tell her that she'd been wasting her time, that whoever he used to be was long gone and never to return, but he simply kept silent as she went on her tirade and eventually grounded him for a month.

"A whole month do you hear me!?" she hissed as tears began to stream down her cheeks.

"Yes," replied Rick evenly before moving toward the back of the store to begin stocking supplies.

Dee found it strange that he didn't even put up a fight, she was expecting a bit of teenage outrage but he simply took off his jacket and went right to work without another word. Dee sighed as she watched him go recalling all too well that he wasn't in the least a normal teenage boy, not after what happened to him and his family.

The seemingly emotionally exhausted woman turned her attention to her store and bookkeeping while Rick tended to the new stock that arrived. She felt for the boy, he was only sixteen and had his whole life ahead of him, and yet he seemed to be as dead on the inside as his family had been the night of the hit.

She hoped that something would change for him, even if she had to contend with it being a pretty girl that would somehow bring a spark of life back into him. As sympathetic as she was to his plight, he'd still been grounded for missing school, but she was still holding out hope that he'd find some kind of an interest in living again.

The Storage Room, Dee Clark's General Store, Winchester Dr, Fallon Creek, Michigan.....

Rick set to work loading and unloading the heavy boxes and barrels with relative ease, his odd abilities becoming more of a boon when he'd been tasked with heavy labor. He had no problem doing anything in the store, as it was one of the few places where he'd enjoyed being among the vast array of products including food as he saw his way to taking one of the apples from the shipping crate and chomping into it as he continued to move the heavy shipment into place carefully stocking the shelves and placing products in their rightful area. He knew his Aunt would be furious as she never liked doing the stocking on her own and she liked not knowing about his whereabouts even less.

She wasn't in the least surprised about him skipping school, she'd been more shocked that he went in the first place. Rick sighed as he continued his work, it was at least three days worth by the looks of it with mountains of enormous wooden crates, boxes, and a few plastic containers. He did a few more before the stifling heat of the closed-in space and the added heat of his movement began to get the better of him and he removed his shirt and proceeded to work. He thought back briefly to his time with Casey and smirked knowing all too well that he'd probably be faced down amid the messy bedsheets and still naked with his release still running down his thighs.

It was a small measure of comfort given that he'd be seeing less and less of him over the coming month when it came to anything outside of school, but Rick was quite adept at getting around not being able to spend whole days with him. For the most part, he didn't know how to feel about Casey Peterson, the boy had barely moved to Fallon Creek after all and despite the marathon sex romps they had the previous day, he had not truly known him all that well.

Rick turned his attention back to loading and unloading crates from the old truck in the back and placing the inventory in its proper place.

Casey's Bedroom, The Peterson Residence, 1345 North Grand Street, Fallon Creek, Michigan...

Contented snoring filled the darkened bedroom of a slumbering naked Casey Allen Peterson as he lay on his stomach with his pale ass cheeks in the air and his arms at his sides while his cock which was rapidly starting to become aroused even in his slumber was pressed against the mattress. As he slept, Casey had not taken note of the late hour nor the fact that his mother had been home again. She had initially come to give her son a piece of her mind after getting a call from the school about him missing a day but took note of the fact that he'd been sleeping for quite a while. She wondered if he'd missed the day due to exhaustion and for the most part decided to only ground him for a week once he'd been awake to witness it.

Helen Peterson sighed as she checked on her slumbering son once again to find that he'd still been out cold. His constant snoring was extremely loud as it filled the darkened bedroom. She shook her head and closed the door once more before heading down to the kitchen. It was clear that she'd be cooking dinner for one this evening and already had what she wanted to eat in mind as she left Casey to his rest.

As he slept, Casey found his dreams more and more vivid as they were influenced by his recollection of his time with Alarick Channon before the brooding older boy's untimely departure. Helen continued to enjoy her night before finally turning in to rest herself, none the wiser about the goings-on from the previous day pertaining to why her only son had been so exhausted when she'd come home.
