Chapter 17 - The Villainess

After attending all of the lectures, Kevin left the classroom. Kevin was the last person to leave the classroom.

Once all the lectures were finished, Kevin made his way out of the classroom. As he walked towards the door, he realized that he was the last person in the room.

The last lecture of the day appeared to be less attended compared to the earlier ones, and as time went by, more and more students began to leave. By the time the lecture was over, only a few people remained in the classroom, with most students having already left.

It's not like they were some slackers. It's just they have already learned these things. After all, they are students of the S-class. So you can expect this from them.

However, Kevin was still behind them in this area. So he has to attend all the lectures.

Once Kevin left the classroom, he decided to explore the vast and sprawling campus of the academy. His curiosity led him to visit some of the facilities available at the academy, and he also wanted to compare his in-game experience with reality.

With a clear sense of direction in mind, Kevin began his journey across the campus, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling academy.

After a short while, he found himself near a particular area that was teeming with students. The atmosphere was vibrant and energetic, with people chatting, laughing, and engaging in various activities.

Watching the scenery before his eyes, a name appeared in Kevin's mind.

'Training Area'

Kevin wanted to come here.

Although, he also has a private training space in his room, but this is this and that is that. They are different.

The one where Kevin is going now is a training area where you can improve your skills.

There is a gravity room, gym, magic practice, and other facilities in this area.

After seeing and hearing this someone might think the Academy is so generous, but the use of these facilities is not free. You have to pay for using them.

Although some facilities are free like you can use the shooting area and gym for free, but you have to pay for the gravity room and magic practice room.

Still it's a good thing for students who have credit points now and Kevin was one of them.

Although, he is freaking poor in terms of money, because he almost spent all of his money on buying herbs for making potions, but he knows how to make money and credits fast. So he wasn't much bothered about that.

After a while, Kevin arrived at the training area and made his way into the Mana practice room.

As he stepped inside, he noticed that the room was permeated with a dense and palpable Mana atmosphere.

Upon closer inspection, he realized that there were numerous charts and diagrams on the walls, displaying the different levels of Mana compared to atmosphere and the corresponding prices.

2x = 400 credits per hour.

3x = 800 credits per hour.

4x = 1500 credits per hour.

5x = 3000 credits per hour.

After seeing these prices, Kevin's heart was bleeding.

Still, he chose 2x. As soon as he chose 2x and paid credits through his smartwatch, the room was filled with Mana.

Kevin felt that using mana became easier. It felt like he was breathing mana. This was the benefit of using this room.

It will make your Mana control good and your mana will also recover rapidly in this room compared to outside of this room.

Soon, Kevin set up a dummy with help of A.I. and started his mana practice and spell casting.

[Thunder generation (Thunder Attribute,1✮)]

Just like that, Kevin continued his training.

After one hour, Kevin came out of the room with a satisfied smile.

'I almost depleted my mana.'

Mana: 80/500

Kevin sighed after seeing how he almost depleted all of his mana. As he was excited, he almost overdone it.

After sighing like that, Kevin entered the Gravity room.

There were a bunch of prices written.

2x = 100 credits per hour.

3x = 300 credits per hour.

4x = 500 credits per hour.

5x = 1000 credits per hour.

After seeing the price, Kevin selected 2x gravity. Soon, Kevin's body became heavy. It became difficult to even walk. But not that much. So he raised gravity to 3x.

So more pressure fell on his body. It became difficult to even stand. So Kevin sat on the floor and started meditation.

After some time, as he felt he can barely stand as he adapted to the pressure, he started physical training.

After one hour…

Kevin had just finished his workout in the Gravity room and emerged from the intense session with his body covered in sweat.

Not fond of the sticky sensation, he decided to use a 'clean' spell to freshen up. With a wave of his hand and a few whispered words, the spell activated and a wave of cleansing magic flowed over him, removing the sweat and grime from his body. As he finished, he took a deep breath, feeling refreshed.

This type of training is particularly beneficial for building physical endurance and stamina, as well as preparing the body for adverse situations.

While he was just leaving the training area, he saw a girl.

A pretty girl that he didn't want to meet.

Kevin was frozen on the spot. He turned his face in a spilt second.

The girl had shoulder-length hair, which had a unique shade of green, almost like the color of fresh leaves in the springtime. Her figure was nothing short of a fairy, with a proportionate build and a B-C size chest that complemented her beauty.

However, it would be a grave mistake to judge her based on her outer appearance alone. The truth about her identity would come as a shock to anyone who underestimated her.

As it turned out, she was the daughter of one of the most powerful Dukes in the region.

[Irene Ivrea]

Race: Half-elf

Level: 88

Attribute: Wood

Danger: X

And she is Villainess.

Yup, she turns against Kevin in the game. And why? Because she was bored.

'Yeah, She was freaking bored, so she became a villainess. Are you kidding me? That's what that stupid goddess wrote.' Kevin really wanted to know how that goddess got the ideas to write such characters.

Despite her noble lineage and striking beauty, Irene was known for her intelligence and sharp wit, which earned her respect and admiration from her peers.

Apparently, she has enough talent, and because of her half-elf bloodline, she can also control Wood magic efficiently.

In the later part of the game, she will also use rare plant magic. It would be quite a pain to defeat her.

'So should I eliminate her while she is weak or make her ally?' Kevin was pondering what should he do about her.

As much she was useful as an ally. But it was very difficult to make her ally in the first place. There is also a possibility that she might betray him in the future.

After thinking like that, Kevin decided that he should just eliminate her. It was for the best.

Just when Kevin was making a plan to eliminate Irene, a voice disturbed him.

[Hi, Kevin. It's me, Dio.]

'What's now?' Although this time, Dio gave notice before talking but Kevin was still annoyed. After all, he was in a public place and Dio also disturbed his thinking.

[Oh, you got a new task from the God of courage.]
