When Jason got up, he decided to fight for real, so he immediately started to shift his mana and used the wind to push himself towards aran as aran also charged at him.
When both of their firsts met, aran increase his speed as much as he can to match Jason and tried to punch him but this time, Jason wasn't playing around and dodged most of the punches.
As Jason tried to block some of Aran's punches, he realised that aran had gotten stronger than he had imagined. But Jason was still stronger so he increased his shift of mana and started to counterattack by punching back at aran. As aran tried to block him, he realised that he won't be able to take that for long.
As both of them were fighting each other with their fists, for the spectators it seemed like they are at the same level, but they knew Jason was stronger.
Even though aran had gotten what he wanted and he had successfully made Jason get serious about the fight, and he was at a disadvantage, he still wanted more than that. He wanted Jason to go all out so that he can use the technique he learned and take things to the extreme.
Aran immediately jumped back and activated his attribute. As Jason started to think about what is Aran doing, aran tried to make long-range attacks by creating some wind blasts, but Jason easily countered them by creating a basic windshield.
" Is that all you got, you trash? " Jason asked, looking at aran pathetically trying to attack him.
But aran didn't say anything and continued the same attack as he moved towards his left, where Jason's wind shied was open. But Jason covered his whole body with a windshield giving aran no chance to attack.
" I expected a little more from you when you bravely challenged me. But you are just disappointing me now. "
When Jason covered himself with a windshield, instead of just making wind blasts, aran charged at Jason.
When Jason saw that, he immediately cancelled the windshield preparing for a fist fight again but as aran got close to him with a fist, he immediately changed the move and attacked Jason with a wind blast from close range with full force.
Although Jason tried to reinitiate the windshield, aran attacked with his full force and it broke the shield, pushing Jason back and Jason fell to the ground.
Before Jason could get up from there, aran charged at Jason and Jason realised that he won't be able to get up and defend himself in time, so he immediately used his attribute to create some water on the floor, and as aran tried to punch Jason, he moved his body to the left by controlling the water and he immediately got up and moved back.
" Trying to play with the tricks, ha? Enough with this game cousin. The only reason I am not attacking you back is that I want to win fairly. So go on, take out your sword! " Jason said as he continued to dodge every punch from aran.
Jason was waiting for aran to take out his sword so that he can beat him at his best and prove that he is no match for him even with all his strength. But aran was waiting for Jason to say that so that he can ignore him and make him angry. So aran just ignored him as usual and continued to swing his fists at Jason.
" I said, take out the sword! " Jason shouted but still aran didn't seem to care as he continued with the punches.
When Jason realised aran have no plan to fight with his sword, it made him furious and he thought he don't have to hold back anymore. When aran tried to blow a punch at him again, Jason dodged the punch and created a water blast and hit aran blasting him away.
When the strong water blast hit aran, it threw him back. As aran was on air flying back, he realised his plan has worked and its time to end this.
He knew Jason doesn't fight with his full strength until he does. So all this time, aran was just trying to make Jason realise that, if he didn't use his full power, this battle will go on for a long time. With that though, he immediately shifted his mana and activated the wind technique he had learned.
The wind technique was a strong fourth-ranked technique that tremendously increases the control over the wind around the user's body. Aran had specially learned that to fight Jason. So as aran activated that technique it created a wind cloak around aran's body and instantly aran controlled his moments in the air and slowly landed on his feet.
Looking at that, Jason started to wonder what was that technique but before he could ask something, aran immediately charged towards Jason, faster than earlier.
As Jason continued to create more water and shoot aran with it, Aran used the wind cloak to push himself from all directions and he not only dodged all of Jason's attacks easily but he also managed to get close to Jason and punch him.
Before Jason could defend himself, he had gotten punched by aran and aran moved away from him. As Jason tried to turn around, he got punched again and again and again, before he could even see what was happening.
Aran was charging towards Jason at full speed by pushing himself through the wind and moving away after punching him and Jason couldn't even see it coming.
'What's happening? How did he master a technique in this little time? ' Jason started to wonder. It made him realise his victory is at stake if he didn't fight with his all.
Realising that he can't win if he can't spot the opponent, Jason closed his eyes to feel the movements of aran and as aran got close, Jason immediately activated his water tornado technique and all the water that spilt on the floor, flew at him.
When aran got closer to Jason to attack him, he felt something from his left and as he tried to turn around, the water shot at him and threw him a few feet away with a strong force. Soon the water continued to spin around Jason like a tornado.
When aran fell away from Jason and got up, he saw, the water was completely shielding Jason by spinning around him and Jason was continuously creating more water inside to strengthen his defences and prepare for the final blow.
It made aran smile, thinking that, now that Jason is using his best, it was time to finish it, and got up. Immediately he charged at Jason again, but as he got close to Jason, the water blast shot at him and blasted him back again.
Aran realised that he can't directly break through the defence so he immediately activated his vision to see if there was any opening and he found the only opening that was on top of Jason.
Since Jason had also used up most of his mana, he won't be able to continue this for long, so Aran decided to finish it with a final attack and charged at Jason one last time.
Jason saw aran charging at him through his water shied so he created some long-range blasts which spins around his defence, through the water and shoots with full force.
These blasts were so strong that they started to attack the students who were watching the duel and the students realised that it was not safe for them to stay there and moved away from them.
As the long-ranged water blasts continued to shoot at aran, he also charged at Jason dodging all the attacks but one of the attacks hit aran again! Instead of taking his time, aran continued to move.
As the distance between aran and Jason got closed and aran used the wind cloak to get a push to jump higher. After jumping as he saw the opening space in Jason's defence, aran used all the wind around him to push himself towards the opening to attack Jason.
Jason also realised can't defend himself if aran attacked him directly with his full strength, so he also moved all the water towards aran, as aran was in the air jumping at him.
As all of the water around Jason, shot towards aran closing Jason's opening, instead of falling back, aran defended the water attack by turning the wind cloak into a bullet shield defending him and continued to push himself with the wind towards Jason in the air.
Jason didn't want to give up either, he also continued to use all of his mana to continuously create more water and push aran back but aran also did the same and used all of his mana to control all the wind around him and punched himself towards Jason.
As both of them started to rapidly lose their mana, their whole body started to feel tremendous pain, but none of them was ready to give up.
As both the water and wind clashed together, the wind started to turn the water back to air, covering the entire space with clouds and the students who were watching them couldn't see what was happening.
Both aran and Jason were doing their best and they were using the last ounce of their mana. As it continued for a few seconds, by losing all his mana, aran was about to lose consciousness, But suddenly due to the extreme battle, aran broke through to the profound stage, which gave him a little more energy for a second.
Suddenly aran sharpened his shield and increased his force to move through the water and pushed himself at Jason and he successfully managed to hit Jason with his last wind blast.
As aran hit Jason, both of them fell close to each other. Even though aran had broken through, after that attack, he had lost consciousness due to the excessive use of mana.
Everyone started to wonder who won the fight, so one of the wind cultivators used his wind to clear the cloudy space. As the space got cleared, they saw, both of them were on the ground.
Since Jason had stronger cultivation than aran, he had managed to stay conscious and as everyone was watching, he slowly got up and looked around to see if aran was still standing but aran was down.
Looking at that, everyone realised Jason is the winner and some of them started to cheer for him. But some of the upper-class students from the medic club ran towards aran and immediately carried him to the medics room.
As they brought aran to the medic room, an elder medic saw his condition and realised that he has used all of his mana. So he immediately began to pour some mana into his body.
Even though a normal cultivator would have died by completely using up his mana, he had only survived because of the demonic mana he had in his body.
