Rose stared at the mirror and looked her drunken state. She looked horrible, she felt angry but could not remember why so she shook it off after all, when she was feeling better she would remember. Rose got startled when she saw a maid in her room with tray in her hands.
"Oh, I did not see you there. Have you been here for a while?"
"No i haven't ...uh...your father has sent food and sparkling water for you to feel better" the maid dropped the tray on the table.
Rose pouted looking at the food, she had no appetite. "Hmm...prepare my bath, I will have this later"
"Okay...I will call you when I am done with your bath"
Rose bathed and drank the sparkling water. It made her feel better. She looked at the dress prepared for her and just wore denim shorts and a tank top and let her hair fall on her back.
She went to her father's study room and found him reading a book. "Father..." Rose shouted and hugged Stan, she had not seen him, for days and she felt pleased seeing him again but he did not look happy.
"Why did you go out alone and get yourself drunk? You know how dangerous it is out there Rose" Stan scolded.
Rose pouted, feeling displeased. Stan sighed and looked at his daughter, helpless.
"You know that you are -"
"You know that you are just human and they are dangerous creatures out there... but I am fine, I am capable of taking care of myself father, I am no longer a child and you know that. I don't have friends, the least i could do is go out. I wonder why you want me to get married to that dog though"
"What are you talking about dear?" Stan asked
Dog? What was she saying? And how could Stan marry her off to a dog?
"Hmm... nevermind. How was your meeting? Did you like the man? Because if you like him, I already like him" Rose changed the topic, hoping her father did not like him. The last thing she wanted to do was get married, but this would anyway benefit her, after all she had nothing to do with her boring life. When she gets married, she would probably have enough drama in her life.
Stan looked at Rose. "He is a nice person, he is very rich, the owner of most of the industries in Thev, and some other countries too"
Stan was reading her thoughts but what came out of her mouth was an entirely different thing. "Father, I want to get a job" atleast the job would keep her from marriage for sometime, she hoped. Stan laughed and just said "if you could make your date a success, I could give you hundred jobs even"
"Of course, you would say that. Don't worry, I will" she kissed her father and left to her room.
Rose pounced on her bed and tried to remember the events of the day after she got drunk but to no avail, as if someone manipulated her not to remember. she laughed at own thoughts and changed into a pink night gown.
She grabbed her phone and scrolled through some pictures with her mother, then slowly slept.

"Guilt! Feel the guilt"
"You were with her Rose, how could you not save her?"
"Coward! You ran away, you are as useless as your mother"

Rose heared these voices and as soon as she saw her mother's dead body, her eyes shot open. Panting, she took deep breaths and poured cold water into a glass and gulped it. She decided to go to the garden.
She took out a rose flower and breathed in the scent of roses and caramel as the night breeze blew her hair, until she heared a howl. Her brows creased. Curious, she followed the howls into the woods.
As she followed the howls, it became clearer until she saw what was happening. It was an alpha...or a demon. Rose could not depict was that beautiful creature was as he had fetures of an alpha and a demon. He had clean silver fur which made her eyes twinkle, seeing the glow on his fur. She stared at the glowing necklace tied around his neck, and something hit her, as if the happenings of the day flashed through her eyes.
The Alpha or demon was hurt. "What are you doing here? Get out! It's dangerous out here" the Alpha said and transformed back to his human self.
Rose gasped and he wondered why. "You are the dog that was sniffing me like a maniac earlier....Zayne"
Zayne was shocked that she remembered he did such a weird thing, and his name. He had made sure that she could not remember anything by manipulation, but she remembered just by looking at his golden stone.
"You should not be here, it is dangerous for a young human like you to be here"
"But i am skillful in fighting. I learnt how to use swords, knives, daggers, guns even taekwondo, and you are hurt. Let me help"
"It is none of your business, it would heal, just...go from here"
Rose frowned and looked at his face. "He was nice earlier" she muttered. 'He is handsome though'. She tried to touch his wounded back but Zayne smacked her hand.
"I said leave!!!"
She sighed and left. How arrogant. She could not go back to that nightmare, so she listened to some music before sleeping.

Zayne watched Rose leave. She was ridiculous. He chuckled remembering what she said. "Taekwondo would not even be able to make a demon tired. The demon would see it as fun, stupid" He took a long walk in the garden then teleported to his mansion which was away from Thev a little bit.
