Chapter 170 - Alexander’s rage -166

Alexander wasn't too upset by the fact that he accidentally summoned not two but four new SCP objects. Not since it did allow him to get the upgrade to the location tool.

This would allow him not just to find the new objects, but find all the other ones as well. Honestly, he was rather surprised that the system could even do something like this.

After all, he now knew that the system was Solomon's wisdom, and as such, he had a few ideas as to how it worked and what it was capable of, which didn't seem like it should include the ability to track and find every SCP object in real-time.

"Alright, let's see the damage then." He muttered as he was about to call up the new tool to see and find every object, which should also allow him to find the two new ones summoned from Marshall, Carter, and Dark. The ones he normally didn't get an alert about.

Yet just as he opened his mouth to command his system to bring it up, he froze. His eyes narrowed as he felt his intuition go off, warning him that it was a bad idea.

Alexander trusted his intuition quite a bit; after all, he had previously been given the perk: Inkling of Intuition. Which just allowed him to occasionally receive vague, intuitive feeling about actions, events or people. It wasn't always easy to figure out what they meant, but he knew to trust it.

So he paused his action and instead went back to the system pings. He had a feeling that they were important. First, he noticed that for the first two SCPs, he had gotten both a class 3 and 4 SITE and an MTF.

The SCP object, 5151, didn't strike much of a cord in his memory, only that it wasn't housed in a large SITE, though he couldn't remember why. As he quickly searched in the database, he was quickly put on alert.

Keter is a rather troublesome Keter class SCP. 5151 was the black knight, a figure seemingly out of some Polish legend. It was impossible to kill or harm the entirety. Which just looked like a man in black armor, a dark knight.

Now, just him being unable to be hurt or killed wouldn't grant him the Keter mark. After all, plenty of other SCP objects possessed the same ability; SCP-049, the good plague doctor, was one. He couldn't be hurt; he could kill with a touch and make zombie-like creatures. Yet he wasn't given a higher rating then Euclid.

No, the reason SCP-5151 was upgraded to Keter was his ability to pass through material objects! Meaning he could just walk through containment walls, and nothing could stop him. This was even more troublesome than someone like the current Black Cat, who also could pass through solid walls, but at least she could be taken down, so threatening her was possible.

Such things weren't possible with 5151, and as such, he was a highly difficult entity to contain, requiring MTF Pi-07 to be set up solely to ensure the containment of this SCP object.

Even that couldn't do much if the object did decide to leave, which made Containment shaky at best.

Other than that, the entirety also seemed to enjoy killing those it sees as dishonorable, so his getting near any modern capitalist would ensure a trail of dead-bodied is left in its wake.

After all, what was considered dishonorable a few centuries ago was nothing compared to what people are doing now; while there were still plenty of people the object that would be considered honorable around, there were also an endless amount of people it would stab through with his sword.

It wasn't just capitalists who were in danger; they were pretty much every world leader, too. After all, what politicians have not promised the world and failed to deliver?

There was a big difference between a kid promising to clean their room and then not doing it and someone asking to be entrusted with power to do something and then using that power for something else entirely after getting it.

So SCP-5151 could cause a lot of danger if he was allowed to get near any large city. So it was definitely important to find and contain them as quickly as possible.

The level of the reward was also unclear. After all, a class 4 SITE normally meant it was at least a Keter class object, and there was indeed one. But there was also an MTF, which could potentially mean the reward for summoning SCP-5151 was a class 3 SITE and an MTF, leaving the Class 4 SITE unaccounted for.

It was entirely possible he now had two new Keter objects, one of which was in the dark. Thankfully, he had the new system update, so forget about not knowing what it was; he would be able to send someone to pick up both right away.

However, he still got a bad feeling about doing just that, which puzzled him slightly. And so he turned his eyes onto the second set of SCP objects he had just summoned.

First, the rewards. There was only a single SITE, and two MTFs were present. This made it a bit more difficult to judge the level of the unknown SCP, though maybe not too difficult.

MTF Eta-5, also known as "Jäeger Bombers," was clearly not a weak unit given that it is a rapid-response unit specializing in the tracking, capturing, and containment of Large-Scale Aggressors (entities over 30m in height). It deploys from and detains LSAs within Dimensional-Site-172.

The single SITE he had gotten was also SITE-172, so now he had the means of dealing with large-scale threats, not that there were many of them around. Clearly, though, these two rewards fit together and marked a Keter class threat.

The other MFT, Eta-10 "See No Evil," was a lot harder to judge; it could be a Euclid or even a safe class object, though hopefully, once he read about this SCP-4885, he would be able to make a better judgment.

Or, more likely, it wouldn't matter much, given that the system should be able to provide whatever information he needed.

"Let's see, SCP-4885." He whispered as he searched it up on his console. However, what he was given wasn't the highly detailed file that he, as a member of the O5 council, normally had access to for every SCP.

No, instead, what he saw was a warning.

[Warning! Access to this file is restricted under protocol O5-P-A-1]

Alexander was no stranger to this protocol, given he was one of the people behind setting it up. However, it was rarely used since it could supersede even the authority of the O5 council.

He didn't believe it had been used even a dozen times in total, as every use carried a massive risk since the O5 council, himself included, didn't like being in the dark about anything.

However, the protocol was still important, and only the full council could lift it, something that was currently impossible given only five of them had materialized so far. Still, he did know what this protocol represented.

This SCP-4885 was such a dangerous object that even just knowing about it could put him in danger, which meant that it might be some highly dangerous cognitohazards, visual memetic agents, or something that required indirect or alternative observation in order to handle safely.

"Let's see, what reason did they give." He cursed under his breath as he looked up the reason they had given for invoking this protocol.

[knowledge of the location of this object results in instant death!]

He froze upon seeing that the single line of reason was fairly good reasoning. The protocol was, after all, meant for the protection of members of the O5 council, but still, he couldn't help but grow angry.

Suddenly, the full weight of his frustration exploded. The realization that he had this powerful new tool, capable of pinpointing every SCP object in real-time, and yet he couldn't use it, ignited a fury within him. He slammed his fist into the nearest wall, the impact reverberating through the room. His vision blurred with rage as he felt the injustice of the situation crash over him like a tidal wave.

"Why now? Why this?" he roared, his voice echoing through the chamber. His hands trembled with the intensity of his anger. The irony of possessing such an upgrade and not being able to use it tore at him, fueling his fury further. He felt like a caged beast, denied the very thing that could give him control over the chaotic world of SCPs.

He used flash forging to conjure up a chair and flung it across the room, the sound of splintering wood satisfying a primal part of his brain. The room seemed to pulse with his rage, each breath he took feeling like fire in his lungs. "All this power, and I can't even use it!" he screamed, his voice breaking with frustration.

Alexander's mind raced, searching for a way around this obstacle. The system, Solomon's wisdom, had given him a tool that promised so much, yet the exact moment he had gotten the system upgrade, he had also gotten likely the single SCO object that would make it impossible to use it!

Such a thing could surely not be a coincidence, could it? Had it been before he knew the truth of the system he might have considered it possible, but knowing that it was Solomon's Wisdom at play, he couldn't help but feel like Solomon was doing this on purpose.

"Solomon," he spat the name like a curse, his voice dripping with venom. The ancient king, the man who was renowned for his wisdom and fairness, the founder of the SCP Foundation, was long dead. Dead because of Alexander's own actions, and yet it felt as though Solomon was reaching from beyond the grave to thwart him. The thought made his blood boil.

"Even in death, you find ways to ruin everything," Alexander seethed, pacing back and forth. The memories of that fateful day when he had orchestrated Solomon's downfall flashed through his mind. It had been a necessary action, a single person couldn't be allowed to control the entirety of the SCP Foundation. Yet now, it seemed like Solomon's spirit lingered, mocking him, placing obstacles in his path.

His rage built up again, his fists clenching and unclenching as he envisioned Solomon's smug face. "You think you can control me from beyond the grave? You think you can stop me?" he shouted into the empty room, his voice echoing off the walls.

The irony of it all was maddening. Solomon, the source of his greatest power, now felt like the chain around his neck. The wisdom that was supposed to give him control was now a labyrinth of traps and pitfalls, laid by the very man he had once eliminated.

"I will not be bound by your ghost, Solomon!" Alexander roared. He could almost hear Solomon's calm, condescending voice advising caution, urging patience. But Alexander was beyond patience. He needed control. He needed to wield this new tool, and he needed to do it now.

He turned back to his console, his eyes blazing with a mixture of fury and determination. He would find a way to use the upgraded tool. He would circumvent the dangers, he swore he would deal with this SCP-4885 in a permanent manner and then see if this system tool couldn't be used then.

"You think you're clever, don't you?" he hissed, addressing the invisible specter of Solomon. "But I'm smarter, stronger, and more ruthless than you ever were. I will use your wisdom against you. I will find a way to bend it to my will."

Alexander knew it wouldn't be easy. This was likely a dangerous Keter class, and even the location of it promised instant death. However, he and the Foundation had plenty of tools available to do the impossible.

Not to mention, he also had the entire Marvel universe to draw from; he would need to learn about SCP-4885 and then see what could be done. But for now, he would have to inform the others about the two new confirmed Keter class objects and have them join him in his quest to beat Solomon's Wisdom.

He didn't doubt they would; after all, they had all once upon a time agreed on getting rid of him, and they hadn't been excited by the knowledge that his wisdom had been invoked; they would ally with him once again, of that, he had no doubt. They were all in this together.
