Alex was rather satisfied with the progress of the Iron Legion. It was a big and ambitious plan that, once fully in play, would enhance the ability to deal with all kinds of threats. While ambitious it was also coming along pretty well. If nothing went wrong, he would have the ability to mass-produce suits before Tony even made his first.
Not that Alex didn't still have high hopes for Tony; after all, much of the tech that went into his own suits was stuff invented by Stark. Something that likely wouldn't end anytime soon. No Tony Stark was still destined to become a big player on the world stage.
Alex still had many plans for the people and heroes of the Marvel universe. While some of his plans had been ruined due to Hydra trying to kill him, he still felt he was on track overall. "With still more than a year until things start, I should be in a good position to take advantage of it," He mused as he leafed through his leatherbound journal.
"Just a few days before I have to play host to Wenwu, that's gonna be an important meeting, need him to lay off." Alex felt that the Mandarin was pushing Shield a little too hard. Alex still had a need for Shield to be around and strong for a little while longer. If it fell before he was able to position himself to take over, that would become far more difficult.
Snapping the journal shut, Alex secured it inside SCP-216, The safe. Which had become his private hiding place for things he didn't want anyone to reach. And that naturally included his notes on the Marvel Universe.
Alex was hoping that he could finish off the whole business with the Mandarin; something he had amassed would be a small affair, yet it had become something far bigger. While having the world chaotic had its positives he preferred to be in control of that chaos.
Looking at the list of SCP objects still needing to be secured and contained, he couldn't help but wonder why some of them was taking so long. Surely, after knowing what to look for and with the information, however little provided by his system, it shouldn't be too hard.
169, the Leviathan was naturally not yet contained; after all, this damn monster was the size of a continent, so yeah, other than ensuring that no one tried to wake it up, he couldn't do much. "Still hard to believe it appeared so close to Talokan, I wonder how they reacted to it." Alex mused.
Next was 2399, the malfunctioning destroyer, which was still sitting up on Saturn. Hopefully, he could get the needed technology for proper space travel soon enough and have someone go up and do something about it.
4225, the time-traveling Santa wasn't something he could contain, at least not until the date stated in his file. So, for now, it was just about hiding him doing his one day of action.
137, the living toys was one he really couldn't believe hadn't been found yet. It had been out there for months at this point and continued to deny him his reward.
469, the many winged angles were one of the biggest concerns. A dangerous object like this one really needed to be contained properly, yet even with all his recourses, there had been no clue yet, which was a grave threat to all life on earth.
016, the sentient micro-organism, was another Keter class one he would prefer to be found and contained sooner rather than later. However, it wasn't easy to find, since it properly had appeared someone deep underground. "Is it too much to hope for that it appeared in the vibranium mines of Wakanda?"
407, the song of Genesis, was one he desperately needed for a project whose deadline was coming up really fast. The object, just being sounds recorded somewhere was impossible to find until played, then he would find it quickly.
1049 was still living at a Shield facility. "Perhaps I can steal it away while they are busy with the Mandarin?" Alex quickly typed down some notes and potential plans for getting this one contained.
He had, after all, only decided to leave that one where it was because he wanted to trouble Shield after they dared to steal 053 from him. Yet now he had to worry about whatever earth would even have a Shield by the time they needed it.
1015 The poor man's Midas was another object he wanted to be contained, mostly due to the potential of the reward being the second half of Midas powers. However, this penny hadn't shown up yet, meaning it might just be lying on some street, unowned, and therefore, not turning everything into more pennies just yet.
1230, the book A Hero Is Born, was an object he desperately wanted. With that, he could live out a full life in pretty much any fictional world he wanted without any risk. It was a dream of anyone from the old universe, the ability to travel to any world and be back the next morning after a full adventure.
However, no matter how much he wanted it, finding it wasn't going to be easy; after all, it was just a book, one with no way to spot it other than by opening it. And there was a lot of books out in the world collecting dust, countless people properly wouldn't notice an extra one appearing in their home.
1471, Mal0 was interesting as well. Though to really enjoy it he would have to throw in through 914, then he would get his own sexy monster girl, not that he had every desire for such a thing…
860, the blue key, well, another one that was hard to find due to it just being a tiny key that seemed normal until used. Unless someone started to use it a bunch or reported something, he and the Foundation had no chance of finding it.
455, the cargo ship wasn't found it. This was slightly surprising, but it was but a matter of time before someone reported something, and everyone got lost and disappeared inside the cargo hold of their ship. Once that happened he would send someone in to take ownership real quick.
093, the Red Sea object had apparently appeared, and a group of people had been sent out to recover it, it wouldn't take them long now. Once he had that, a few more plans concerning Pym could be set in motion.
1678, unlondon was found and people were working on securing it already. "I could even send my Avengers recruits inside it for some training and letting them get a feel of SCP objects…"
1295, Meg's diner, he needed that one found ASAP. After all it did have the ability to cause an XK end of the world scenario. Sadly with the way the system worked, he couldn't just have Foundation personnel look at satellite footage. They had tried that, and it had likely also appeared in the old footage.
3008, the infinte Ikea was found and should have been contained by now… "Need to hear what the hold up is on that."
835, which was all kinds of messed up; well, it was hard to find due to being underwater, and well, the news would spread quickly once someone was unlucky enough to find it. Alex had to suppress a shiver as he was reminded of the fucked up stuff about this object, so nightmare-inducing it was that even the Foundation named it Expunged data released.
1765 the sisters, he would also be able to sleep saver at night once those were found, the fact that they weren't was strange, given that they hadn't been much about hiding in the SCP universe. Not that they had to hide, they were powerful enough to be arrogant.
002, the living room, again, how the fuck had a massive room made of red flesh now been found? Really surely the world wasn't that filled with empty buildings to hide it right?
1689, the bag of holding potatoes, well maybe right now some farmer out there was making bank by pouring an infinite amount of potatoes out of it and selling them off. It would take a while of doing that before numbers started showing up and being suspicious. Thankfully it wasn't a dangerous one, so having it be out there wasn't too bad.
1171, humans go home. Well checking every damn window pane in the world was impossible even for the Foundation. So finding this one might take some time. Not much he could do there.
1370, Pesterbot, well who knows where that little guy is running about. Given how little trouble it could cause, it might just have been mistaken for some kind of toy.
131, the eye pods would prove to be immensely helpful once he got something like 173 or 689; having the pods around in case someone blinked at the wrong time could be the difference between a full-scale containment breach and a small accident.
3199, now that one was dangerous, who knew how many such instances could be out there right now? The worst part was that reducing the number back down was nearly impossible; yeah, the sooner they were found and dealt with, the better.
155, the infinite-speed computer, might even be able to run Crysis on that one. But jokes aside, it would be easy to find it the first time it was used, and that amount of gamma radiation would be easily tracked.
914 the clockworks, he had thousands of people working day and night to find that one. As long as it wasn't in Wakanda, he was confident in finding it as soon as it appeared in a lab or any kind. God knows the amount of money had been sunk into getting people in places for that.
1281, the harbinger, was confirmed to be in orbit around Saturn and wouldn't be moving from there anytime soon unless something major happened.
Finally, there was 701, the hanged king's tragedy. He was already having people go through every single theater in the world trying to spot any copies of that screenplay, the same with major libraries and more.
The list was longer then he remembered, yet it would surely just continue to grow. In the future there would properly be thousands of SCP objects in the wild. Turning up in the hands of heroes and villains alike.
Even among these few he could imagine quite a few bad scenarios should they end up in the wrong hands. The song of Genesis, for one, would be the perfect superweapon of some villain who needed to be taken down before they played it all over the world.
Someone like Ultron could have ended all life on earth pretty easily with that, given his ability as an AI he could have forced every speaker in the world to play it, the Avengers wouldn't have had a chance to act before it was too late in that case.
The clockworks were another; put in the wrong thing, and boom! Superweapon or super monster right there. Not to mention the more fearsome of them all! Should 1689 fall into the hands of some evil-hearted person, the world wouldn't be able to recover from the terror of Potato Man! The evil villain wanting to crash the potato market.
"Wouldn't be surprised if that was the plot of some random superhero comic… they made a lot of strange stuff back in the day." Alex joked about a bit. Yet it was highly possible that something like that could happen, plenty of strange people out there.
After all hadn't Tony Stark caused the birth of a dozen villains merely by being slightly a dick? If some rich guy being a dick was another to make villains then a sack of infinite potatoes could do the same. Marvel was a universe where such things were more likely to happen then not.
