[Triskelion]
Nick Fury has been rather busy lately. He has many concerns to handle, not least the two super organizations that are starting to appear: Bulwark and Chaos Insurgency.
Or the mysterious objects and monsters those two groups were after, frightening things such as the last monster that would kill anyone who saw its face.
Now, he had gotten a few pictures with what he assumed to be the pictures of the monster's face, he hadn't really been able to test it. He didn't dare show the pictures to anyone, and he didn't have access to an advanced AI like Stark's.
Still, SHIELD had its own ways, and the programs they had written up to check for his picture should have gotten it even if it was hard to confirm.
He was planning on testing it at some point, but not now. That would be too extreme. Testing it now would make the monster escape its imprisonment once again, which would be both chaotic and easy to track.
So they would have to wait until it escaped once again, then they would be able to check the pictures for the real ones, and then they could be more easily used should there ever be a need for it.
That wasn't the only thing that still filled up time about this shy monster. Another valuable thing they had gotten, was information. After all, they more or less knew the path the monster had taken, after all they knew the target location, and parts of the path travelled, so it was possible to calculate the starting point.
While it wasn't exact since they still lacked a bit of data to work with, and things were on a macro scale. They had still been able to narrow down the location to the State. Now it would be far easier to narrow it down further.
However, that was also where the good news came to an end. The cost of the effort to contain the monster and avoid the lives of others. It was left to SHIELD to cover. And while Fury was doing everything he could to push it back on others, he was in a bad situation.
He knew SHIELD was losing support, the loss of their facilities and assets in the east was a major blow, and their inability to handle the situation wasn't doing them any favor. The fact that it had taken another powerful criminal organization like the Ricci family to calm the situation down had made people question SHIELD's ability to deal with large-scale situations.
The fact that monsters had been confirmed to exist thanks to their work with the Bulwark was also a mixed bag. Some wanted to support SHIELD in dealing with such things, other thought it was fine to just allow Bulwark to handle it.
After all, that way, they didn't have to foot the bill or worry about anything and could use the money to give their rich friends more tax cuts.
Few wanted to get into the discussion when it involved monsters, something they wanted to desperately pretend didn't exist. It was all giving him a headache, and he was left feeling more and more in the dark by every day that passed by.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Come in," he said, turning to face the newcomer.
Maria Hill entered, her expression serious. "Sir, we have another situation. There's been an incident in New York involving the Whisperer."
Fury's brow furrowed. The Whisperer was a creature that thrived on chaos and fear, feeding on the nightmares of the innocent. "What's the damage?"
"A prominent politician, one of our allies in the city's anti-corruption campaign, was found dead. Officially, it's being ruled as a heart attack, but we know better."
Fury sighed. "Damn. The Whisperer's getting bolder. What about our assets in the area? Any leads?"
Hill shook her head. "Not yet. We're combing through surveillance footage and tapping our informants, but so far, nothing concrete."
Fury nodded. "Keep me posted. And make sure our people are on high alert. We can't afford any more surprises."
"Yes, sir," Hill replied, turning to leave.
As she exited, Fury returned to his thoughts. The dark forces were growing bolder, and the Whisperer was just one piece of the puzzle. There were other threats to consider, each more dangerous than the last.

[SITE-009]
Back at Alexander's mansion, it was once again time to summon another SCP. It was not something he was looking forward to, but something that had to be done all the same. After all, it was far better to get them one or two at a time than suddenly get thousands.
"Alright, System, summon another SCP, and make it a good one, will you?" He wasn't sure about how much control Solomon had or if he was even there, but it couldn't hurt to ask, even if Solomon would have plenty of reason to hate Alexander.
[Ding! Understood Host, please stand by as the random SCP is summoned!]
[Ding! Warning! SCP-1440 has appeared!]
[Ding! Warning! Host a SCP has appeared in the world and is outside Foundation control! Host is asked to deal with the situation and follow the Foundation's goal of Securing, containing, and Protecting!]
[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting SITE-006, a class 5 Foundation facility in the Canary Islands (Spain) ! 200 class B combat personnel, 5000 class C combat personnel, 500 research personnel, 2500 administrative personnel, and 300 maintenance personnel!]
[Ding! Warning! Host a SCP has appeared in the world and is outside Foundation control! Host is asked to deal with the situation and follow the Foundation's goal of Securing, containing, and Protecting!]
[Ding! Host! It has been detected that SCP-073 has appeared in the world since 073 is tied to SCP-076; SCP-076 has also appeared in the world! Host is asked to deal with both SCP objects and ensure that the world remains safe from harm!]
Alexander took a deep breath. The situation was escalating quickly. SCP-1440, also known as "The Old Man from Nowhere," was known for its ability to cause catastrophic events wherever it went. This anomaly was a walking disaster, bringing ruin and misfortune to all around it. Its presence was a death sentence for any who encountered it.
It was really no wonder that something like that had earned itself a SITE of class 5 as a pre-containment reward. However, it was also a SCP that was completely impossible to contain, at least with what means were currently available to the Foundation.
It might be possible to do something using magic or even the infinity stones, but for now, it was impossible to do anything but to try and avoid the man causing too much death and destruction.
Now normally he would be left in the dark about the second SCP that were summoned, but not this time. He wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not; after all, the price was steep, an extra SCP, leaving him with two Keters and one Euclid.
SCP-073 itself wasn't a problem; he was one of the easier-to-contain Euclid class humanoid objects. He was peaceful enough; his ability to cause the land around him to die was of little concern since he was not allowed to go outside.
While it would have been nice to somehow use his ability to reflect all harm away from him onto others, something similar to Alexander's own divine retribution would be even stronger. Alexander could be hurt, but that harm would be returned to those who harmed him.
SCP-073, however, couldn't be hurt at all; any attempts, even those not meant to cause real harm, were easily enough reflected back. In fact, through the study of this and SCP-900, the O5 council had come up with ways of reproducing such effects for themselves.
All in all, it wasn't Cain who was a problem to contain—not at all—but his brother Abel, SCP-076, was a different story altogether. SCP-076 was Keter class, a classification well-earned with the blood of many Foundation personnel.
Abel was a violent, nearly indestructible warrior. He possessed superhuman strength, speed, and combat skills, and he was also highly resistant to all damage. This made him very hard to take down, and with the strength to rip his way through solid steel, even locking him up wasn't easy.
Even if the effort was taken to kill him, he would endlessly resurrect from within the stone chamber SCP-076-1. Making him someone impossible to deal with permanently, and someone who would always attempt to break containment.
It wasn't that there weren't ways to deal with him, for while violent, he wasn't without a mind; he could think and talk. In fact, he had even been working on and off for and with the Foundation.
He was after all a more or less immortal powerhouse and that was something they would be fools not to try and use. And while at times he had done good jobs, he wasn't the most predictable of objects.
One moment, he could suddenly lose it and go on a rampage even more damaging than the situation he had helped to solve, making it highly risky to use him in such a manner.
"Today is going to be a long day." He muttered to himself as he got to work; he had orders to send out warnings to the other O5 counsellors. And more importantly he had to deal with the consequences of the last system message.
[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting another member of the SCP Foundation's high command, Overseer O5-6 "The Watcher," as appeared together with the full might of his sphere!]
