Chapter 2 - Spring-Heeled Jack

now we've all heard about monster's, the creature's that live among us,

that eat our flesh at night, one such beast is the vampire,

they live on our block's and only come out at night,

their skin is that pale that the sun turn's them to dusts,

to keep this freak away put garlic near your window's vent's and door's,

in-order to kill one you must strike its heart with a wooden stake,

they are really deceitful and will manipulate the situation at will,

they will bite and enslave you,

these creatures are so cunning evil and dark,

legends tell of few vampires which started as real,

but what if I told you Spring-heeled Jack was a tall dude,

who was the first vampire to have lived in the UK,

because of his speed and agility skill's,

would you not have believed that he was after human blood?

that would explain how Spring-Heeled Jack was seen in another three different forms,

that would explain how Jack's claws were as cold and as clammy as a corpse,

Spring-Heeled Jack was undead,

that's why he would just scare and draw the victim's blood,

the reason he vanished was because he couldn't finish getting his fill of blood,

because every time he got close to his feed he would be interrupted and have to flee the scene,

and with human's it is common to help someone in trouble,

that's why they say to watch your back and your neck,

because they like to creep up on you,

and have your adrenalin induced because that's like sugar to them,

they fixate on it like its cocaine,

they get the twitches and start to obsess,

to the point where their veins bulge out and pop from their head's,

they will kill anything that keeps them from it,

these monsters are bad, and they are no pet's,

their need is to kill, and they want to drain you of your blood,

these maniacs are crazed and act like Spring-heeled Jack,

they will drain you of your blood,

if they are given the chance,

the Legend of Spring-Heeled Jack might be more than how it seems,

so, let's say that Spring-Heeled Jack was one,

and one night in December 1837

A figure so strange,

leapt at Mary steven's from a dark alley way,

he used his might to immobilise her,

He kissed her face as he ripped her coat off,

He put his hands on her neck and head,

his hands were as cold and as calmly as the claws on a corpse,

Such horror,

she screamed and he fled.

The very next near the steven's home,

A coach driver got quite the fright,

Spring-heeled Jack jumped into the road,

the driver crashed the coach,

Spring-heeled Jack leapt away,

and the day after that he was seen jumping a wall of nine foot,

a feat that could break a man's foot,

on the ninth of January 1838, propaganda spread

he was seen in three different disguises, a ghost, a bear and a devil,

Drunken debauchery they thought it was,

but over at one house he pulled a bell and looked brute and stood in no less a dreadful figure than a spectre clads most perfect and on January the 10th they described them a wicked prank's,

oh lord how could they not know,

what was around the corner,

on the night of the 19th of February 1838

Miss Alsop answered her door to a man,

he claimed to be the police and asked for a light to be given to him,

he exclaimed "We have caught Spring-heeled Jack here in the lane"

she brought him a torch, made from candle and flame,

he tore his cloak off reviling his frightfully hideous appearance,

on his head a large helmet which vomited white and blue flames,

his eyes were like red balls of fire, his clothes white oilskin and were extremely tight,

his claws were metallic,

and that's when he grabbed her,

he tore her gown, and she cried help for help,

she managed to get loose and turned around to run towards her house,

but he caught her on the steps and started to tear at her arms and neck,

her sister came to save her to after which Spring-heeled Jack fled.

he wasn't seen until February 28th in 1838,

as Miss Scales was walking and saw a stranger in the dark green dragon ally

he wore a large cloak,

once she got up close to him, he spurted bright blue flames in her face,

disrupting her view,

and as a result of this plus fear,

she collapsed to the floor and started having fit's,

which came with vomiting fit's which lasted for several hours,

he walked away briskly

in 1877 Spring-heeled Jack was in Lincolnshire,

an angry mob of villager's chased him with pitchforks guns and torches,

shooting their muskets at him,

he was wearing a sheep's skin,

but alas they lost him,

then in Aldershot in 1879,

he would harass the sentries at night,

one said Jack slapped him in the face,

they shot but missed and Spring-heeled Jack fled again,

then in the northwest of England in Everton north Liverpool,

on the roof top of Saint Francis Xavier church on Salisbury Street,

then in 1904 Spring-heeled Jack was seen just once more,

in the nearby William Henry Street,

but after that night he vanished for again,

who was this fiend?

nobody knows, we only have theory's,

but that's how the legend goes.

so how about that?

the best way to be safe from a vampire today is to remain in groups of folks,

be careful with stranger's because their quite dangerous more so in the dark starey night,

legend's such as this all come from true event's,

so be careful at night while you're out with your friends just in case that Spring-Heeled Jack springs back to life again,

he's not known to kill but to terrify his victim's and to make them bleed but let's them live to pass on the information.
