It was morning and the reflection of the sun seeped into the room carelessly, shining brightly on MingZhu's face. Yawning tiredly as her long lashes flickered, she opened one of her eyes a little but was quick to shut it due to the reflection of the sun.
After about a few seconds, she opened them again and scanned the whole room without moving on the bed.
'Hmmm… Where am I?' She thought, until the memories of last night invaded her thoughts and began playing in her head without permission.
Remembering the cold, aggressive look on Alessandro's face when he pulled the trigger, MingZhu winced in pain again.
It was until then, Camilla who had been taking care of MingZhu since the previous night opened her eyes as a yawn also escaped her mouth.
She had fallen asleep on the sofa while watching MingZhu overnight as per the instructions she received from Alessandro.
"Ma'am, you are awake…" Camilla drawled as she got up to pour her a glass of water.
"Just call me Ming… Huhm," MingZhu began before clearing her throat.
Handing over the glass of water to her, Camilla said again, "Here you go ma'am."
"Thank you," MingZhu replied and sat up before collecting the glass of water from Camilla.
"One more thing Camilla, I would love it if you just call me Bianca. I feel too old to be addressed as a ma'am," she corrected before taking a drink from the cup.
Before Camilla could oppose her words, MingZhu hurriedly spoke.
"By the way, how did I get to the room Camilla?"
"It was the Don who carried you in last night. I thought you were fast asleep when he brought you in only for him to inform me that you had fainted but I dared not ask why ma'am," Camilla replied but instantly corrected herself after realizing what she had said.
"Sorry, I mean Bianca."
Overlooking the clumsy attitude of her nurse, MingZhu continued with her interrogation-like questions.
"And where is he?" she asked but before Camilla could reply, the room door was flung opened.
MingZhu watched as the last person she expected to see barged into the room. Yes, she asked of his whereabouts but it was not because she wanted to see his heartless face. It was because she knew the type of man he was.
He was not the type to for give easily. And since she had since that terrible side of him, she knew he would probably want to end her also. Perhaps, for fear that she would expose him and his wicked acts.
Looking at him with disdain, MingZhu noticed the bag he held. From the little time she had spent with him and the little information she could gather about Alessandro from Bianca's memory, she was sure he was not just there to gawk at her petite face.
'He's probably here to kill me and dismember my body to fit in the bag,' she thought to herself as she exhaled deeply before swallowing hard.
"Get out of here…" Alessandro said coldly while Camilla hurriedly went out of the room in a flash, shutting the door behind her.
With a crossed leg and a smirk on her face, MingZhu tried as hard as she could to keep a straight face.
Dropping the glass of water, she stared plainly at the man before her and asked, "What do you want?"
"What were you doing there last night?" he asked in return.
"I asked first," Ming said calmly before getting on her feet.
"This arrogant attitude of yours won't get you anywhere. So, if you want to talk to me, talk calmly," Alessandro said in returning, watching the woman before him pick up a towel.
"If you are done, can you please leave and shut the door? I don't have anything else to say to a heartless animal like you. Besides, you can see I'm about to take my bath."
MinhZhu who didn't know Alessandro was behind her the whole time regretted her words the moment she turned around because Alessandro held her by the neck that she couldn't breath.
"Al… Aless.. Alessandro…" She choked while tapping the hand which he used to hold her by the neck.
"I'm warning you Bianca. Don't try my patience. I'm sure you can see what I am capable of so if I were you, I would just behave obediently without complaint. I hate it when slaves like you don't know their place…"
Whispering this words into Ming's ears, Alessandro pushed her to the floor before throwing the bag which he brought with him right at her.
"Those are your clothes. I don't want you looking like I kidnapped you so make sure you change into them. We would be traveling to China in about two hours time," he said to her before leaving the room without looking back.
MingZhu stared into space as tears began flowing down her face. She wished she had just died when she was been shut rather than reincarnate to face the same ordeal again.
Like the saying goes, 'from the frying pam to fire.'
That was exactly how she felt. She was feeling much more than that as she felt so hopeless in this strange world she found herself.
With red eyes and tear stained cheeks, Ming changed out of the hospital clothes she had been wearing and tied a towel around her chest.
Walking into the bathroom, a thought came to her mind and it was to visit her company to see how things went after her death.
Since Alessandro wanted to take her to China, it was a chance for her to check out how things were going after her disappearance so who was she to oppose?
