"How long do you think before he shows up?"
Reigner chuckled "Place your bets. The only thing I wouldn't wager is him being on time"
We both began to laugh near the academy's main entrance. Though it had been nearly two weeks of house arrest we slipped back into our usual habits as if it had been another morning training for the mana hunt, though our laughter was cut short by a familiar and anticipated voice
"Oh really? How much were we betting then?" Lichens smug voice appeared behind us
Reigner quickly cleared his throat "Nothing…"
"Yeah yeah" Lichen carried on as he placed his hands on our shoulder, leaning to place his head between ours "Well I'll take the promotion I got for your hard work and even" he said softly before backing up laughing as Reigner instantly fell into his taunt
"WHAT?! How did you get a promotion?!"
He continued to chuckle "Welcome to the real world, congrats on making it."
