Hidden in between the clouds, a city float highly in the sky, the light of the sun shone upon it brightly. The buildings on this city was tall, some of them even piercing through the clouds. Around the city, thousands of formations are written on the floating rock that surrounds the city.

This city was known as the Dragon City, a city ruled by the Dragon Race. It is also the capital city of the dragons where the Dragon Emperor reside. In this city, the dragons rule like kings. Only dragons or those who possess dragon bloodline are allowed enter this city.

As for those who are not a descendant of dragons, it was impossible to even locate this city. This is because of the formations that have been described around the city, creating an illusion of a thick mist that will trap anyone who attempt to approach this it.

Currently, the city that used to be lively is completely silent. Not even a single soul can be seen on the street.

In the middle of the city, stood a tall gigantic palace. On each towers of the palace, a dragon with azure scales stood silently. Around the palace, countless dragons are kneeling on the ground. Their heads bowing down in respect.

Inside of a grand hall of the palace, two figures stood in front of an altar. Nemorous high ranking formations was described around the altar that glows in golden colour. On the top of the altar was black coloured egg with markings of a coiling dragon.

The two figures stood in front of the altar, one was a man, while the other one was a woman.

The male was handsome with long blonde hair reaching his shoulder and a pair of golden yellow eyes that seems to contains countless wisdoms. He wore a long golden robe with dragon embroidery.

His very present is like a divine ruler who rules over the heavens.

While the man is the embodiment of handsomeness, the woman beside him is the embodiment of beauty.

Long black hair and a pair of black eyes. Similar to the man beside her, she is wearing a long golden robe with dragon embroidery.

The man is none other than the current Dragon Emperor, publicly known as the strongest dragon in this era and the ruler of all dragons on this planet.

As for the woman, her status is only below the man's. She is the Dragon Emperor's wife, the Dragon Empress.

Currently, they are waiting for their first son to hatch. As the of two of them have a very pure bloodline, thanks to the generations of inbreeding, the chances of the Dragon Empress to conceive a child is almost impossible.

Not to mention, the two of them are not just any ordinary dragons. They are a part of the transcendent grade dragons, the highest rank in the ranking of dragons, making it even more less the chances of the two of them having a child.

Despite this, against all odds, with centuries of hardwork and dedication, the Dragon Empress finally conceive their first child.

Now, finally after centuries of waiting, their first son will finally hatch from his egg and he will become the dragon prince, and if fate allows it, he will inherit the throne from his father in the future and become the Dragon Emperor.

"Husband." Dragon Empress look at her husband with nervousness and worry clearly plastered on her face. This was their first child, and will hatch any time soon, what if something bad happen?

"Don't worry, we have enough preparation in case something bad happens." Dragon Emperor pat his wife's shoulder and give her a reassuring smile.

Suddenly the whole castle shook, startling the two dragons. The two of them look at each other, a look of worry on their faces.

"Who dares to attack this Emperor's castle?!" The Dragon Emperor and the Dragon Empress rip through the space and walk out of the opened portal. Their figures stood mid air, giving off the present of a ruler.

The dragons who had gathered around the palace, immediately prostrate themselves to the ground. Anyone who sees such a sight would immediately be shocked.

This is because dragons are well known to be very arrogant and prideful.

In fact they are the embodiment of sovereignty, making them having every right to be arrogant. However, in front of these two, they didn't dare to show even an air of arrogance.

Their bloodline simply won't allow them.

The two of them look up to the sky, to their horror, the sky suddenly darken. Dark clouds gathers around the floating city, casting dark shadows upon the city of dragons.

As if the heaven itself was angered, dark lightning starts to crackle in the sky, causing the weaker dragons on the ground to tremble in fear.

"A tribulation is descending." Dragon Emperor frown when sees the dark cloud gathering around his palace.

A tribulation lightning descents from the clouds, aiming right towards the duo.

The Dragon Emperor scoff when he sees the tribulation lightning descending towards him and his wife. He rise hand in an attempt to block the incoming tribulation lightning.

It was only then did he realise the terror of his mistake. The tribulation lightning contains the power of destruction, something that is strong enough to annihilate his existence. It was clear that he won't be able to block it even with his full strength.

However, much to his surprise the tribulation lightning went pass him and aims towards his palace instead.

Reality struck the Emperor of dragons. His face turns to horror as he realise what exactly is going. He came to realise that the lightning tribulation wasn't aiming for them, but something inside the palace.

"Nooo!!!!" The Dragon Empress scream in horror as she also realise what the tribulation is aiming for. To be more precise, who it was aiming for.

Under the shocked gazes of others, thousands of formations bloom into existence. Following suit, layers upon layers of protection barriers manifest into reality in an attempt to block the descending tribulation lightning. A futile attempt.

The tribulation lightning simply ignores the existence of the protective barriers. It even ignores the palace and passed through nemorous walls and floors, hitting the black egg with golden dragon markings that was laid on the altar.

Upon impact, particles of lightning containing the power of destruction was spread, destroying everything in it's path.

The entirety of the Dragon City shook.

The whole palace had been obliterated from existence and in it's place was a huge hole that stretch for miles.

Then another tribulation lightning descent.

Then the seventh descent from the sky.

The Dragon Empress can only watch in horror as her first child who hasn't even hatch was bombarded with tribulations after another tribulations. It was clear the heavens wanted her son dead.

In this universe, there is a limit to how strong one can be or how talented one is. Considering the purity of the bloodline her child has, his talent simply suprass the limit of this world. Simply put, if her child fully hatch, it's talent would be unrivaled by many. In fact, his talent could possibly rivals his ancestors!

Hence, the heavens is angry. How could it let someone with a heaven defying talent to exists in this world in the first place? Didn't you know how it was wrong to have such a heaven defying talent? If you dare, come and fight me!

As if accepting the heaven's challenge, a golden blur fly through the air, shocking those who are present. It was the unhatched egg.

"Nooooo!" The Dragon Empress tries to catch the egg, only to be stopped by her husband who immediately hugged her into his embrace.

"Dear, please, save our child." The Dragon Empress cries, begging to her husband.

All that the Dragon Emperor can do was to shake his head while muttering "I'm sorry" to his wife's ears. It's not that he doesn't want to help. It was simply just impossible.

Similar to before, the tribulation lightning will just passed through his body and aim towards the egg. All that he can do now was to order for the dragons to be send to a safer location.

"Evacuate the children. The rest protect this city from any of those who are foolish enough to tries and attack us at this very moment." The Dragon Emperor's voice rang out throughout the city.

"Your order is our command." The dragons kneel down before flying to safety along with their children.

The two couple stood mid air, motionless. Their eyes staring at the sight in front of them. Their child is currently fighting for it's life, and yet here they are, unable to do anything.

As if sensing the egg's challenge, another tribulation descend. This time in the form of a silver coloured pillar, shrouded in dark lightning with two dragons coiling around it.

Tears stream down the empress's cheeks as she sense the power in the silver pillar. She could already tell that if this was her tribulation, she would have definitely be unable to survive.

Even she couldn't survive it, then what about her child? He hasn't even hatch, but the heavens was cruel.

"You dare!!!" A booming voice suddenly shout, causing all the flying dragons to froze mid air. Their body then one by one drop down to the ground.

A figure sitting on a throne then manifest into existence. It was a handsome young man with long blonde hair wearing a golden dragon robe.

Following this manifestation, manifestations countless dragons manifest into the air and prostrate themselves to the ground. The whole world could feel the power this manifestation was giving off, forcing all of them to kneel!

"This is, our son's appearance in the future." The Dragon Emperor exclaimed in shock.

In a rare occurrence of a genius being born, it was possible for the manifestation of their future self to appear. And from this manifestation he could tell his son will become a very powerful emperor!

So powerful that even the heavens need to pay him it's respect.

The manifestation held the golden egg with his left hand and grabbed the silver pillar with the coiling dragons with his right hand.

Then, under the shocked gazes of the dragons, the manifestation simply crush the silver pillar with his right hand, transforming it into countless lightning sparks that was immediately absorbed by the egg.

While all of this was happening, on the other side of the planet was the palace of the Phoenix Race. For ages, this two races have been at odds with one another. Every time they meet, it was clear that killings will followed suit.

Similar to the scene that occurred with the dragons, a manifestation can be seen in the middle of the already destroyed Phoenix Clan territory which located at the other side of the planet.

The moonlight shine brightly, lighting up the night sky. The mountainous regions that was once was the place for the Phoenix Race to reside have been completely turns into a place unsuitable for any living creatures to live in.

But instead of a man, the manifestation was a crimson haired woman with peerless beauty. If the Dragon Empress is the embodiment of beauty, then this woman is beauty itself.

What had just happened was that similar to the dragons, the phoenix princess will soon hatch, and similar to the dragon prince, the phoenix princess's bloodline is the purest in the history of the phoenix, being only below the dragon prince in terms of purity.

Hence, similar to the dragon prince, heavens was angered of her talent and wanted to kill her before she could fully grows up.

The two manifestation look up to the sky. A look of anger and disdain clear on their face. They are the future ruler of their respective race, is the heaven worthy to punish them for their talent?!

Absolutely not!

"You dare to attempt to stop this Emperor / Empress, are you even worthy!!" The two manifestations shout .

The sky rumbles once again. Another tribulation descend from the sky. This time on the side of the dragons, it was a huge spear shrouded in dark lightning while on the phoenix side, it was a sword shrouded in hot scorching flame.

The two manifestation scoff. Their hands stretching towards the descending tribulation as it transform into their bestial form.

For the dragon prince, his hand was covered in golden scales while his fingers had transformed into claws. As for the phoenix princess, her hand was shrouded in red feathers while her fingers transform into a golden claws.

Booom!!

Their hands connected with the descending tribulation, creating an explosion that shook the heavens itself.

The descending tribulations was instantly destroyed, revealing the two manifestation to be completely unharmed. This only proves one thing.

Their talent is enough for them to surpass the heavens itself! In the future, if they were given enough time to grow, even the heavens would have to kneel down in front of them!

But then, another shocking scenes appears.

In both the dragon and the phoenix race territories, another manifestation bloom into existence.

It was a dark void that completely block the light of the sun on the Dragon City and the light of the moon on the Phoenix Race territory.

But what shocked them the most was the lone figure that sat on the throne within the dark void. His face was completely covered in darkness, while his head leisurely laid on his palm. His only facial features that can be seen are those pair of aquamarine blue eyes that shine brightly

Sensing the two manifestation below, the figure opens his eyes. A look of shock flash in his eyes before turning to amusement.

'Interesting.'

'A manifestation that could distort the flow of time and space itself allowing the past and future to be connected, as expected of the two of them.'

The figure look down on the red haired manifestation with warms in his eyes.

"Live well,"

The dark void that covered the sky starts to dissipate.

"Nooooo!!!" The phoenix princess scream at the top of her lungs. Her voice filled with longing as she stretch her claws towards the hooded figure.

How can she let someone that belongs to her to be gone just like that? She is the future if Emperor of the phoenix race! If she couldn't protect him, then how could she protect her people?!

Sadly it was already too late. Before she could even grab the figure, the dark void had fully dissipate.

"And survive."

On the dragon race territory, the figure look down towards the manifestation of the dragon prince. His eyes radiating killing intent and anger.

"As for you, you can just kill yourself."

With a flick of his fingers, countless swords flew down towards the manifestation.

The manifestation of the dragon prince simply snort in disdain. Before the swords could even came near the manifestation, all of them stopped mid air and flew back towards the figure.

The figure simply chuckle as the swords penetrated through every part of his body before fully dissipating.

"You live up to your name, Celestial Dragon Emperor. I wonder, will you be able to protect your woman and son in this timeline, or will you fail like you did on mine."
