Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Zhu Xian in hand

A vicious and cold light shone from behind Daoxuan, stabbing directly into his body and causing him to fall towards the demonic faction.

Upon seeing this scene, many on the demonic side were shocked, while others seemed to have anticipated it and quickly lit up strange lights in their hands, attacking Daoxuan without hesitation.

Daoxuan was immediately hit by several blows, spitting out a mouthful of blood. In extreme pain, he activated his damaged dark green Taoist robe, causing it to swell and burst into a strong light, which pushed the person who had secretly attacked him away.

As Daoxuan angrily glared and turned his head, he was suddenly shocked and could hardly believe what he saw.

Cangsong, the head of Qing Yun's Longshou Peak, stopped his retreat and hung in mid-air with an extremely crazed expression. He seemed even angrier than Daoxuan, holding an extraordinary green-blue short sword.

"Daoxuan, you despicable person, go to hell! I will avenge Senior Brother Wan!"

These three words seemed to be infused with a demonic nature, causing the various peak heads who were previously anxiously trying to save Daoxuan to shudder and come to a halt.

Tian Buyi had the most intense reaction, coldly shouting towards Cangsong in mid-air: "Senior Brother Cangsong, this matter has already passed for a hundred years, and you still cannot let go?"

Upon hearing this, Cangsong, who was about to attack again, stopped in his tracks and turned his head abruptly, sneering and mocking with a contemptuous expression.

"Shut up, Tian Buyi! Who are you to mention Senior Brother Wan again?"

"You were just an ordinary and dull disciple of the Da Zhu Peak back then. Even your senior brothers and sisters looked down on you. It was Senior Brother Wan who saw your potential and cultivated you carefully. He not only passed on all his own experiences to you, but also strongly recommended you to go to the Manghai Wilderness and break into the Demon Sect's Holy Temple. It was only with his guidance and support that you have the qualifications and strength to be where you are today!"

"What, just over a hundred years, and you have already forgotten Senior Brother Wan's kindness and grace?"

Tian Buyi took a deep breath and his face became complex, as he lowered his head in pain and guilt, no longer speaking.

Then, Cangsong began to recount one by one the favors and help that his Senior Brother Wan had given to the other peak heads.

As Daoxuan listened to these words, his expression grew increasingly angry. He clenched his fists tightly, his fingernails digging into his flesh, and his blood-stained robe fluttered without any wind.

Just as he was about to speak, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck, and black energy appeared on his face. He fell directly from mid-air to the ground.

Seeing this, Cangsong turned his head and sneered triumphantly at Daoxuan on the ground: "Did you think I was talking to these heartless people? I was just trying to provoke you and buy time."

With a wave of his hand, a strange light flew from Daoxuan's body towards Cangsong, but it was shattered by Daoxuan's fierce sword strike. Fragments of flesh and blood fell to the ground.

Cangsong was not angry or heartbroken, his grin remained on his face: "It doesn't matter. This rare and venomous Seven-Tailed Centipede was prepared just for you. It has already bitten you once, so it's useless now. Daoxuan, come and give me your life!"

Cangsong let out a loud roar and rushed towards Daoxuan with great momentum. Daoxuan desperately forced out a mouthful of poisonous blood and flew up in an attempt to break through Cangsong and return to the Qing Yun side.

The actions of the two immediately ignited a great war between Qing Yun and the demonic path, and in an instant, various spells and techniques illuminated the sky and whistled through the air.

Li Xiu glanced at Daoxuan, who was struggling to support himself against the siege and was about to be defeated, and indifferently disappeared into the shadows.

Both the top and bottom disciples of Qing Yun were fighting fiercely with the demonic path. This place was usually heavily guarded, but now there was no one to be found. Even if something unusual occurred, there was no time to attend to it.

The front of the Tongtian Peak was covered in dense black clouds, with fierce winds howling and the sounds of killing echoing. The bodies piled up, but the back of the mountain was bathed in warm sunlight and was very quiet.

On a mountain path in a dense forest, an invisible figure swept past, stirring up the lush vegetation with a gust of wind.

This was the Huang Yue ( Illusory Moon ) Cave, the holy and forbidden land of the Qing Yun sect, but from the outside, it appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary cave.

Li Xiu looked up at the weathered four characters above the entrance, then stepped inside.

The cave was not particularly deep or spacious, and the stone chamber was plain and unadorned. Only the stone wall at the end of the chamber showed some strangeness.

Embedded in the smooth stone wall was a piece of Taiji stone slab, which Li Xiu gazed at intently before approaching and placing his hand on it. A faint green light emitted.

After a few moments, a sudden soft hum sounded in the silent chamber, and the Taiji diagram on the stone slab also lit up with a green light and began to rotate.

Just as the rotation of the stone slab finished, the stone wall suddenly made a loud cracking sound and slowly split apart, revealing a hidden cave. However, hovering in front of the entrance was a strange object resembling a grey-white water mist, blocking the way.

It appeared like mist, yet also resembled water waves, constantly spinning around. The inside of the cave was shrouded in a hazy mist, making it difficult to see clearly.

Li Xiu waved his sleeve to create a strong wind, but the mist remained still as if fixed in place.

Furrowing his brow, Li Xiu stepped forward, but was immediately met with a powerful force that blurred his consciousness. Suddenly, there was a crisp cracking sound from the mist, followed by a nearly imperceptible grunt.

Li Xiu broke off one of his own dangling fingers, but even the sharp pain only slightly sobered him up. He stumbled forward again, feeling his consciousness blur once more. Without hesitation, he broke off another finger.

First, the drooping finger had recovered when Li Xiu took another step and touched the finger again.

After taking a dozen or so steps, Li Xiu broke his two fingers repeatedly before he managed to toughen up and walked out of the mist. He glanced to the side and saw an ancient-looking but bright mirror reflecting an unusual light.

Li Xiu wanted to take the mirror down but found that a powerful formation linked the mirror to the stone chamber. He couldn't guarantee the mirror would be undamaged if he forced it down.

He had no choice but to break it with his hand. As a result, the mist behind him dissipated, and he saved himself from experiencing it again when he left later.

The furnishings in the cave were extremely simple, with only a stone bed and a table for offerings.

On the wall above the offering table hangs a portrait that Li Xiu recognizes as the image of Qing Yun Saint, the founder of the Qing Yun Sect.

There was an incense burner in front of the portrait, but the most eye-catching objects were a brocade box and an ancient sword placed on a sword rack on either side of the incense burner.

The sword was of a peculiar quality, like stone and like jade, with an ancient and simple design, a thin and firm blade, and the words "Zhu Xian" carved in ancient seal script on the sword.

A look of obvious joy appeared on Li Xiu's face as he picked up the Zhu Xian sword and felt the immense sword energy contained within it, capable of cleaving mountains and splitting seas. Of course, with this power came a heavy and constant sense of hostility that assaulted his mind.

Li Xiu tore off a piece of his clothing to wrap up the Zhu Xian sword and put it behind him. Although the hostility within the sword still lingered, he was able to resist it for the time being, relying on his powerful bloodline.

Then he opened the brocade box, scanned the ancient scroll inside, and put it into his arms after making sure there were no issues. He then concealed himself and walked towards the outside of the cave.

Earlier, when he left the Yunhai Square, Daoxuan was already at his limit and couldn't possibly break through the siege to take the Zhu Xian Sword. However, when the disciples of Qing Yun flee, someone will come to take the sword, so it's best for him to leave this place as soon as possible.

But before leaving Qing Yun, there was still one thing that Li Xiu needed to retrieve, and one person that he needed to kill.
