Chapter 15 - The Gang vs Skeletons

In the gloomy section of the graveyard, a person's rushing footsteps and the clanking sound of bones colliding with one another could be heard. Looking closely, one could see a terrifying scene that only appears in horror movies.

A young-looking teen appeared to be fleeing from a bunch of skeletons with sharp weapons prepared to rip apart the flesh of their target, but not like the movie's characters, who felt dread and anxiety. The young teen's eyes bore no trace of fear; instead, they were filled with eagerness and an adventurous spirit.

Bang!

The young teen stopped running and instead manifested another spell in his hand. A ball of water suddenly lunged at one of the skeletons; however, the magic did not deter them from chasing the young teen as they continued to rush forward with a serious intent of reaping the teen's life.

Just as the skeletons were about to get close to the young teen, a sound of a sharp object tearing through the air suddenly appeared.

Swoosh!

An axe slashes the head of a skeleton, causing it to stop moving. A grinning figure of a black man with long dreadlocks appeared at one of the tall tombstones; he glanced teasingly at the young teen with his crimson eyes and uttered, " Did you wet your pants, kiddo?"

" Hey, what are you talking about, Balmond!? Only the boss can call me that!" Francis shouted back as he heard Balmond's words.

The two did not pay attention to the skeletal hordes that continued to advance as they talked while doing so. A figure of someone suddenly emerged from the shadows and slashed the nearest skeleton.

" Focus," Franklin said with a cold tone as he continued to slash the skeleton.

The two stopped their arguments and retreated together with Franklin. After a brief moment, they reached their destination: A narrow pathway between two tall tombstones. The narrow footpath only allows three people to enter side by side, which makes Alisa choose this place to engage the skeletons.

" You guys sure take your time." The trio suddenly heard the charming voice of a woman.

Franklin stared at the lovely black-haired woman and said, "Sorry, Big Sister Alisa, Balmond is being foolish again."

" Who are you calling dumb!?" Balmond retorted.

" Well enough with that, guys. We better

" Well enough with that, guys. We better finish this soon before the boss gets in here." Tammy spoke in a calm voice while preparing his shield.

It didn't take long before the grunts and clanking sounds of a bunch of skeletons echoed in the grim graveyard. Alisa calmly stepped forward while gracefully holding her sword like a great warrior.

Balmond is like a lunatic entering the battlefield on her right, while Tammy is to her left, staring at the skeleton-like it's a bag of gold.

" Hahaha! We can finally smash these skully bastards. " Balmond grins as he raises his axe high in the air; suddenly, a flame engulfs his axe as he viciously slashes the closing skeleton.

[Fire Enchant] Enchant your weapon with the fire element, and your next attack deals additional elemental damage equivalent to 25% of your attack.

Mana Cost: 30

Cooldown: 4

Swoosh!

Balmond smiled as he heard the tearing sound of bones, while Alisa didn't let the other down as she waved her sword and cast [Fire Enchant]. Unlike the madman Balmond, she didn't crazily strike the skeleton; instead, she was like a dancing butterfly as she fought.

On the other side, Tammy smiled as he looked at the approaching skeletons and couldn't help but utter, "I can't believe that I'm enjoying my chicken wings this morning and fighting skeletons at night! Hahaha."

As one of the skeletons was about to get close, Tammy raised his iron shield and bashed it at the skeleton's skulls.

[Shield Bash] Bash your shield at the enemy that dealt 75% of your physical damage and 100% of your armor.

Mana cost: 15 mana

Cooldown: 3 seconds

Bang!

The skeleton flinched as the thick iron shield smacked against its head. As Tammy was about to continue bashing the skeleton's skull, a sword-wielding frame dashed and slashed its rusty sword toward Tammy. Without hesitation, Tammy raised his shield.

Bang!

The dirt-colored barrier successfully blocked the skeleton's attack, and just as the frame was about to launch another attack, a sphere of fire suddenly appeared above its head. Tammy smiled as he looked back and gave Francis a thumbs up.
