The next day.
GK's POV
I woke up to find myself in a dark space. A space without a single light and no matter how wide my eyes were I couldn't see anything. It was like I was drowning with a tight pain in my chest, and I had no reason to keep myself alive. I closed my eyes waiting to meet my assigned Angel. I only wanted to appreciate Them for holding me alive in the 757 years of my life.
I sank deep down the water with my eyes closed when I remembered Natasha and my son. Then I woke up and struggled to break free from the chains that I felt on my hands. Slowly, I opened my eyes to see the unfamiliar ceiling-colored blue with cobwebs in the corner. I was feeling dizzy and I might pass out any second.
"Is he safe?" I heard a voice from a distance. "He just woke up but something is wrong." Another voice replied. I was confused that I couldn't differentiate the voice that spoke. I couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman speaking.
