When reached the Going Merry, you called out to Chopper who came rushing instantly.
"Ah!! Usopp?! What happened to you?! Doctor!!" he screamed.
"What are you talking about?? Arent you the doctor??"
"Oh, yeah!! I'll take care of him at the medical bay!!"
"I already stopped the internal wounds in his body so I'll leave the rest to you and help"
You took Usopp to the medical bay and helped Chopper with the rest of his injuries. Several hours had passed and Usopp was lying on the recovery bed, stable. Zoro told the news to Sanji, Ghin, and Chopper about the Going Merry while you told them about the Franky Family and the stolen money.
Nami came rushing back as she told you about the location of the Franky House. You and Nami agreed to stay behind and guard the last two cases. You stayed behind to take care of Usopp.
"What about your ship?" she asked, worriedly.
"That can wait. What's more important is to get back at these thieves and wait for Usopp to recover" you replied while leaning against the railing with a solemn expression.
She gave out a pitiful laugh as she told the boys to beat them up well.
"Go teach those thieves a lesson, guys"
They nodded in agreement and went to find Luffy.

Several hours later~
The boys came back without a scratch and Usopp is awake with bandages all over his body. He was apologizing for letting them get the money but Luffy reassured him that it was alright. However, what he stated went the wrong way. He bluntly stated that they were going to replace the Going Merry.
Usopp's eyes widened in disbelief and asked if they were joking with his lips trembling.
"Sorry, Usopp. I was there when it was announced. The ship was far from repair and it was impossible to fix it. This kind of decision will hurt everyone here and you must understand that Merry is on its last breaths. The keel is broken and it can't be replaced. Luffy argued with 6 people at the Galley-La today plus he also doesn't want to do this but it can't be helped. Money is not the issue, it's the ship itself" You walked over to Usopp and got on your knees in front of him. "I'm sorry but the crew can't go on any further like this" you gently explained as you held his hands.
"What are you saying, (First Name)?! What do a few carpenters know!! What do you know?! Are you saying we should listen to them?!" Usopp yelled as tears started falling down his face.
You gripped his hands tighter but not enough to hurt him. "While it's true I don't know why you're behaving like this, I'm trying to say that even if they're not the best carpenters, you guys still have a high risk of this boat sinking. And just so you know, this decision was thought long and hard. You're not the only one who felt the same way. Everyone here does. And Merry . . .I'm sure she doesn't want you to be sunk at sea and she knows that she can't last long. You need to move on, Usopp so, please under-!!"
A harsh slap was delivered to your cheek. Your eyes widened and your mouth was agape in shock. The slap didn't physically hurt that much but you were hurt deeply.
"You're lying, (First Name)!! You're a liar!! You don't know anything at all!!" he yelled hysterically.
Luffy stepped in and shoved you aside as he started yelling as well. Zoro shouted at them to sit down and talk calmly.
"MERRY IS GOING TO DIE, USOPP!!"
Luffy yelled, trying to make Usopp understand but he kept denying it. He started becoming delirious that he kept on insisting that they could fix Merry. If there wasn't any carpenter who was willing to fix the ship, he said that he would fix it himself.
"YOU'RE NOT A CARPENTER, USOPP!! EVEN (FIRST NAME) KNOWS THAT MERRY CAN'T BE FIXED!!" Luffy screamed and Nami immediately warned Luffy.
You frowned at the harshness and warned, "Luffy, I know what you're feeling right now but what you said is too harsh!! Choose your words wisely!!"
He called you all dogs for just listening to the carpenters like that. Zoro was silent. The fighting continued until Luffy snapped by grabbing Usopp's shirt. Nami tried to interfere but you held her back as you shook your head. It hurts seeing them like this and Usopp's accusations of so many bad things. You wanted to interfere as well but you know that you're not a part of their crew so it's supposed to be none of your business but you couldn't help but watch.
Luffy had enough and shoved Usopp to the ground, telling him to leave if he didn't like his decision. Okay, that's too far. He broke when he was accused of being a cold-blooded bastard. Even Usopp has gone too far!!
You and Sanji sent a kick at Luffy and he was sent flying into the table. "That's enough, Luffy!! You've gone too far and I already said to choose your words wisely!!"
That snapped Luffy out of it. He got up and apologized for sounding so cruel but Usopp misunderstood it and walked off, telling them that he had quit. He got off the ship despite Chopper begging for Luffy to come back and Nami pleading with Usopp to talk this out.
Everyone else looked at him tearfully while you watched calmly, trying not to cry. You kept telling yourself that you were not in the crew so you shouldn't cry but it hurts seeing Usopp leave.
Usopp turned around and challenged Luffy to a duel over control of the ship at 10:00 that night.

"(First Name)!! Why didn't you try to stop him!! Why didn't you try to reason even more?!" Nami cried, shaking you back and forth.
"I never wanted this to happen as much as you do!! And don't forget, I'm not a part of this crew. I can't interfere as much as I wanted to!!" you reasoned.
"That still didn't give you the reason to talk this out!!"
"Namikan, what's done is done. Don't forget this is the captain's decision and it's final" You grabbed her hands to stop the shaking.
You left the room when you overheard Sanji and Zoro arguing over today. You sighed in annoyance and told Ghin to take care of it.
"No need to tell me twice" he walked up to them and whacked both of them in the head.
"Stop, you guys. If the crew can't pull this through then we were never meant to be a crew. Sanji, there's no way Zoro could tell that the Frankies would go after Usopp. Zoro, it is Sanji's job as a cook to make sure he gets the best ingredients to ensure that we are well-fed. None of you are at fault" he stated.
They stiffened and managed to get the message across as they calmed down. You heard a door open and turned around to see Chopper crying.
"Usopp refused to be t-treated" he cried.
Your face saddened and brought Chopper into your arms, comforting him.
"It can't be helped . . . let us all watch the duel and wish them luck," you said.

The battle had finally ended and Luffy won. He put his straw hat on and walked back to you with his hand pulling down the straw hat on his face while Usopp lay on the ground.
"Do . . . whatever you want with the Going Merry. We'll get a new ship and go ahead to the new seas!! Goodbye Usopp. It's been fun" Luffy walked off.
Chopper went into his buff form and tried to help Usopp but Sanji held him back, saying that it would only damage his pride further so Chopper left the supplies next to Usopp.
Luffy seemed hesitant as if he wanted to go back on his decision but Zoro responded that it was the burden of the captain and the crew relied on him to bear it. You placed your hand on Luffy's shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze, reassuring him.
"It's not your fault, Luffy. It is a big decision and as captain, you have the final say and the crew relies on it. Whether it is this . . . or death" You gave him a small smile.
He let his face bury into your stomach as he silently cried. You wrapped your arms around him and rubbed soothing circles on his back. You stayed silent the whole way as Chopper and Nami cried over the turn of events. The crew then leaves the ship and a crying Usopp behind.
You went on separate ways and got to the room the Galley-La workers let you stay over temporarily.
You were too tired to change your clothes so you took off your shoes and landed yourself on the bed. So much has happened today . . .
You should continue your work . . .
