Renan believed Atlas, even though he initially resisted. He knew that everything Atlas said was true.
Renan's father wanted him to marry Atlas for business purposes. So, it made sense that Davian would go after Atlas to force his father to agree to their union.
Renan looked at Atlas with guilt in his eyes. If he hadn't mistaken Evander for his father, Davian would have never tried to kill Atlas.
He thought about Evander too, tears running down his face.
Atlas put a hand on his shoulder. "I don't blame you for any of this. I just think that you should be with the person you love and Evander too.", Atlas reassured.
Renan sobbed, "He'll never accept me now."
Renan cried even more, and Atlas pulled his chair closer to him.
Atlas lifted his chin, "You won't know unless you try. Evander is a good and understanding person. He doesn't hold grudges, and I know he loves you."
Renan looked at Atlas full of hope. "Really?"
Atlas reassured him, "Really, just talk to him."
