"I couldn't get used to this life here even if I tried , everything sucks "Kayla thought looking at the kids that were picking on her, "just because I don't want to get into trouble. I would have punched the hell out of you guys", and I didn't want mrs Theresa's scolding, I whispered walking past them. The whole orphanage roared in laughter as they watched me leave the dinner hall. The hall was the largest room in the orphanage decorated with different paintings hanging on the wall with engravings on it . There were many chairs arranged in circles with large tables in the middle. You know there's always bullying everywhere irrespective of the place, same goes for here.
Just because Kayla was never visited by Couples, they always said she was too mature for them to adopt making everybody look down on her, always leaving her alone, or always doing their dishes and chores for them.
Kayla didn't have any friends despite that she was already turning 18 by November, and if she didn't have parents by then she was going to leave. The pressure was to much on her plus them constantly bullying her. Kayla left the dinner hall sitting by it's entrance. Everyone seeing her in that state would think she was a weak girl but deep down was different from what she was being portrayed as. Kayla had light blonde hair that was tied in a messy bun with few strands falling on her face. Despite her sufferings she was still beautiful with rare hazel brown eyes that gave birth to her dark silky long lashes. Kayla was a beauty to behold, this fact made the other girls to bully her even more, frustrating her life. Kayla sat all by her self as she kept her chin on her folded legs with her expressionless face, many thoughts ran in her mind "how am I going to keep up with this?¿","why are..."she didn't finish her pondering when Mrs Smith their cleaner rushed to her side.
"oh dear look at your dress" Mrs Smith gasped holding her up from the ground, her dress was covered in soup again.
"Don't tell me it's Melissa again" she asked looking at me. Mrs Smith was a woman in her mid forties who always came by the orphanage to help, she was a single mother that had two kids that she provided for. Actually she was one of the person's that showed me love and care, the only one out of hundred that came and left the orphanage.
Kayla could see her worried expression as she spoke to her
"maa it is..." Kayla finally muttered after some silence of debating whether to tell her or not before bursting into tears. "oh my lovely child, don't cry my dear" Mrs Smith said wrapping her hands around Kayla while she sobbed silently. "kayla was a really strong girl to really avoid trouble around here but sometimes she had to breakdown " Mrs Smith thought to herself as she softly stroke Kayla's hair as she cuddled in her arms.
"sniffs " "sniffs" Kayla cleaned her red face with her tiny fingers. "I can't sit here crying every time they hurt me" she thought, clenching her fists unconsciously with a new look in her face burning with determination. Mrs Smith was surprised as she looked at Kayla who had suddenly stopped crying. She could swear she saw a dangerous look on her face just now.
