Subterranea was a kingdom carved out of solid rock. For millennia, the people of Subterranea had continued to survive underground, secretly hoping to return to the surface one day. The only way into the city was a deadly maze of traps which repelled intruders. Only Boa could take people safely into and out of the city.
"First we must meet the royals and ask for locations to the Earth Gem" Taros suggested.
"I thought you were going to stop following us when we got to Subterranea" Geed reminded.
"You spared me, I owe you my life. I'll come with you even if I have to die" Taros swore.
"And that is exactly what I don't want" Geed said.
So the three comrades finally found the Palace Of Stone. Inside, the King and Queen Of Subterranea sat.
"We hear you are searching for the location of the Earth Gem?" the King asked.
"Yes, we need it to stop Kane and reseal Darkmanner" Geed answered calmly.
The King looked closely at Geed.
"You must be traitors, sent by the enemy to infiltrate Subterranea! GUARDS! ARREST THEM!" the King ordered.
At the order, Guards pounced on the three companions and threw them into a cell in the Stone Dungeons.
"This brings back memories" Geed said in sarcasm.
"Why do we have to ask for the Gem and the first thing they assume is that we're traitors" Alice asked disturbed.
"Rough having people judge you for something you know nothing about huh?" Geed asked. "I for one have no intention of staying in here. I'm getting out. Of course a Water Magi would have been prime in the plan" Geed said as he stood up.
"Don't move around much Gideon. You just recovered from a fever. Boa's venom might still be coursing through your veins" Alice cautioned.
"I'm beginning to wonder Alice. Where's this concern of yours coming from?" Geed retorted.
"Now's not the time to start a fight Geed" Taros interrupted.
Suddenly, Geed turned around and slashed at the prison gates. They collapsed to the ground.
"Now let's find the Earth Magi" Geed ordered. "We're doing this with or without the help of the Royal Family" Geed said with determination.
And so the three comrades walked to the Northernmost point of the Kingdom and there they saw a huge statue made of stone. There seemed to be rooms carved into the statue.
"I'm guessing this is the stone temple" Geed said motioning to the others to stop.
"And why are we stopping?" Alice asked.
"Do you want to be crushed?" Geed asked silently.
"No, why are you asking that?" Alice asked.
"King Aerobis, my father was the second sacred creature. He gave me the Wind Gem and warned me that the other sacred creatures would be hostile. I'm guessing that this stone statue is the third sacred creature" Geed said.
"Your father was the second sacred creature?" Alice asked in disbelief.
"I see the resemblance" Taros said and burst into uncontrollable laughter.
"All I'm saying is proceed with caution" Geed warned. "I'm still wondering though why apart from King Aerobis, every other royal family sees me as a traitor" Geed asked.
"And why do you say that?" Alice asked.
"Never mind" Geed said and began to walk towards the statue.
