After tasting the sweet and sour candy, the child's previously bewildered eyes brightened with a smile. With a soft and tender voice, he said, "Thank you, pretty sister!"
"You're welcome!" Wen Xin gently pinched the child's now rosy cheeks, smiling affectionately.
"The little one is doing well. The high fever didn't damage his brain. I was sure of it when I was inserting the needles. His limbs are fine too. If he doesn't get a fever tonight, he should be recovered."
