Caring and reason are inherently connected yet worlds apart. You may have a reason, but do you care? Do you care about anything? You most likely do unless you are a self-loathing nihilist. However, why do we care? Is it failure? The knowing that if our actions fail that we will disappoint not only ourselves but others. But if an effort is made to avoid disappointment or pain, in general, is it caring, or is it self-preservation, the pursuit of fleeing misery? Notwithstanding, it is the internal importance that creates a sense of caring.
