Tristan repeated fervently to himself, the weight of his conviction pressing heavily against the encroaching dread. The searing blaze unleashed by Justin loomed before him, a torrent of fire with a range that engulfed the entire arena, closing in mercilessly. Tristan's heart raced as he realized he had nowhere to run, the flames threatening to consume everything in their path.
Panic gripped him for a moment as his negative thoughts of losing and even fear of death threatened to consume his thoughts. However he gripped his fists so tightly that his fingernails injured his palms
'Stay calm and search for a path to victory!'
That was what August had said to them many times!
He took a deep breath and regained his calm, yet his thoughts spiraled.
