"Situation's the same as it was yesterday and the whole last week, sir. Nothing. She went away, and then it's radio silence." She shook her head, sitting down on the other side of the table.
A sip of coffee was not enough, to be honest ever since Callaghan stormed out in that damned call of nature or whatever it was, she barely could feel any pleasure from anything anymore. Everything had been dominated by dread what could be waiting for her partner out there.
"You're worried."
"Of course I am!" she groaned, covering her face with her palms. "She went there without proper preparations. I don't give a damn how many cases she had been on, this one is nothing like the others!"
