Chapter 1 - Christmas Special 2022 Chapter I: Iseul Yoon

[Christmas Special, this is not tied to the real story.]

It was Christmas, one of Iseul's most favorite celebrations ever since he first took a taste of a Christmas cookie back at his actual home. The night before he felt thrilled to find out how the royal family would celebrate.

To Iseul's surprise however, he wanted to move out of his bed, not knowing he had woken up in a regular one, not one such as the mattress in the different age. Was this the best Christmas Eve he'd ever celebrate?

Iseul rubbed his eyes firmly before blinking a few times, it was definitely a room he hadn't been in before, but it looked modern. He looked around before looking down at his attire, it was a large black shirt, strange. It sure wasn't his.

He decided to go and investigate wherever he had landed now, it didn't seem to phase him as much as his first time ending up in a different place without any recollection as of how. Iseul heard the sizzling of a pan with boiling oil as he moved towards it.

Who was that? A man with a back he was all too familiar with, was this Jun-Suk? But how, it wasn't 1395 anymore.

"Jun-Suk?" Iseul carefully spoke out, somehow not feeling a fear creep up his spine, but rather butterflies in his stomach, but how? The man turned around to give him a bright smile, a smile he hadn't seen before. Iseul cleared his throat and returned the smile.

"I'm making us some pancakes, love," Love? Did Jun-Suk just call him that? He looked around him carefully.

"Well? Are you gonna give them a go? They're Christmas tree shaped," He was definitely talking to him. His cheeks fluttering in red as he stepped closer and closer until a fork pushed its way into his mouth with a sweet warm piece of pancake.

It was very tasty as Iseul cupped his hand under his chin to catch any of the sugar that would fall off as he got fed a few more pieces by his lover.

Jun-Suk chuckled and gave Iseul a small peck on his plump lips, making Iseul take a few steps back, but once more not out of disgust or fear as it felt familiar to him. "Are you alright? Did I startle you?" Jun-Suk asked with a small chuckle detailing his question.

Iseul returned a small chuckle before moving closer to give him a hug.

The strong arm wrapping around his shoulder together with the soft warm lips pressing on his forehead made him melt right in his arms, such comfort. He sure wouldn't mind staying here for a while, though deep inside he could feel the time ticking.

The two had their sweet breakfast together before laying on the couch together with a warm soft blanket wrapped around them. Iseul snuggled comfortably on Jun-Suk's chest as they watched the beautiful fireplace slowly show its warm flames.

Jun-Suk was humming softly, the crackling on the fire making it sound even more comforting as Iseul looked up at him with with big eyes as slight tears formed in his eyes, soon dripping down onto the warm sweater of Jun-Suk.

Jun-Suk looked worried before cupping Iseul's cheeks with his large soft hands "Are you alright? What's wrong?" He asked "Did something happen?"

Iseul shook his head before his tears gently got wiped away by Jun-Suk's thumbs, Iseul soon moving to lay back comfortably once more. He still felt a little tired from just waking up, so a small nap wouldn't hurt... Right?

It wouldn't. He was sure he wouldn't suddenly just wake up back in the past once more, it was Christmas after all. The nap took quite a while, it was so strong and deep to the point Jun-Suk was able to move from under him fully to prepare their celebration.

Their celebration consisted of friends and family coming together to get together for Christmas, familiar faces such as Aera and Jeong being two of many.

He was woken up by the gentle eyes of Jun-Suk, asking him to get ready for the get together.

Ready for what? It didn't matter, he immediately hurried back to the bedroom where he figured he'd find his clothing, assuming they were living together in this small and cozy apartment. He was right, he was met with a shared closet where his old belongings were stored carefully.

Iseul quickly got into his clothing, oh how comfortable they felt and easy to put on as well, nothing like the attire back then. He slipped on some jeans and a comfortable beige sweater than colored nicely with his hair before stepping back in the room where the other man was located.

He couldn't help but go in for yet another hug, pushing his face into the man's chest as the back of his head was softly patted "My, you get very affectionate on Christmas!" The man chuckled.

Iseul chuckled and nodded, not letting go as the two moved through the room together, making everything ready for their visitors. "Who's all coming..?" Iseul asked, praying his room mate would be mentioned "Oh that's a surprise, love."

Of course Jun-Suk was still he man of surprises, it was quite obvious he was still the same person, just more affectionate now as they presumably had been together for a long while.

They decorated the table with a beautiful pure white table cloth, silver cutlery and forms of beautiful and elegant decoration. Iseul nearly felt nervous seeing the amount of chairs and plates, there were so many guests on the list...

"No need to be nervous," Jun-Suk chuckled "It's only people you know," Jun-Suk comforted him before lightly brushing his lower back, pulling him to stand close to him to look at the beautifully dressed table.

Excitement brewing in both their stomachs seeing it all come together with the rest of the room that was already decorated to the brim with comforting and welcoming Christmas decorations. Oh how excited they were.

The only thing they had to do now, was wait for their friends and family to come by and celebrate...
