Alec had her packed in his car and he quickly drove off to his house. He didn't even let her talk to her family. She quietly sat back and watched him. He was mad with happiness. It warmed her heart that he was so happy and excited to be a father. She could feel herself melt each time he touched her tummy. He was already in love with this little human. She hadn't even developed a baby bump yet but he was still very concerned about her.
" Alec , what are we doing here?" She asked as he forcibly tucked her in bed and lay besides her.
" We are bonding with the new fella. " He rested on his side and kept his hand over Gwen's tummy.
She laughed at his care. It was true. Men really know nothing when it comes to kids. He was treating her like a balloon that could pop any minute.
" Alec , don't worry. He's still pretty small right now. Just slightly bigger than a bean. " She placed her hand over his. " All this isn't needed yet. "
" Have you been a mother before?" Alec asked her sternly.
" Um...no. " She was confused.
"Exactly. So both of us have no idea what's going on and what exactly we should do. " He pulled the covers up to her cheeks.
" Let me care for you. " He kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her.
She decided to let herself get a breather. She just wanted to take a nap and dream about her wedding. She was exhausted. She'd started to drift off but the thought of Louis and his bad habits made her eyes shoot open. She tried to get up but Alec held her firmly.
" Alec...I still have to-"
" Derrick and some of my men are keeping an eye on Louis and they'll protect Marylynne. " He snuggled closer to her.
"Don't worry about anything right now. I'm here. "
" Alec...I..." He shut her up with a kiss. "Rest."
Leo had spent his day with Marylynne. She'd been narrating how quickly her life had turned into an action packed film. She sounded extremely excited and worried at the same time. She told him how Louis had called her to the hospital a couple of days before. He was hurt and so was Gwen. She'd rushed over but by the time she got there , Alec had taken Gwen away.
Her worry lessened because her daughter was with Alec but she still wanted to know how she was doing. They hadn't called even once in two days. She couldn't stop talking. She had to let out her feelings and thoughts and who better than Leo to listen to her?
Leo thought about all this as he drove to Alec's place. He needed to see Gwen. His eyes were glued to the road but his mind and heart were unsettled.
He got a call from Ruth. He didn't pick up. He couldn't. Blurred images flashed across his mind from that day. Nothing was clear but he was sure he'd slept with Ruth. He could remember how she clutched to him and the feeling of her lips against his. He took a deep breath and clenched his jaw. It was a mistake. He regretted it so much. He didn't want to give her any hopes and now he'd even stuck his freaking dick inside her!
He saw the house up ahead and drove slower. He'd think about this later. Now , he had to see Gwen.
He'd been waiting for half an hour. He didn't touch the cup of coffee George had offered. He just stared at it blankly.
Alec descended the stairs slowly. He was shirtless and he wore black sweat pants. He stopped on the last stair and pocketed.
They looked at each other for a long while before Leo stood and put on a plastic smile.
" I need to talk to her. " He said.
" She's busy. " Alec smiled as he came closer to him with slow even steps. She wasn't actually doing anything. She was a sleep but he just wanted to mess with this asshole.
" She's not your property , you know that right?" Leo couldn't put a lid on the frustration he had bottled up.
" Actually...she is. " Alec came face to face with him. " She's given all of herself to me. Every inch , every fibre of her body. "
Leo wanted to die with every word this bastard was saying to him. A muscle twitched in his jaw and he restrained himself from punching him in that fuckboy face of his.
" I guess you've had several dreams and fantasies about her. Well let me make it easier for you. " Alec placed a hand on his shoulder.
" Her lips are soft and they taste like honey. And in between her thighs , "
He squeezed on Leo's shoulder and smirked , " It's a whole different world in there. And she makes the wildest little noises each time I let myself in-"
" What are you guys talking about?" Gwen interrupted .
