Gwen had been awake for a long while. She watched Alec sleeping. He often turned or frowned like he was having a nightmare. She held his hand and he squeezed it. Gwen smiled. She loved this. Waking up in his bed , watching him sleep or him watching her sleep. These past few days were beautiful but as hard as it was , she had to go home sooner or later.
Gwen crawled out of bed and got to the kitchen. She tied her hair into a bun and told Rosa she'd handle the breakfast. Alec's family had left already and boy was she was glad! She could tell Alec wasn't fond of them much and the house was tense when they were around.
" Okay..." Gwen clapped her hands and sighed. She hadn't cooked in ages and wasn't sure what to cook. " Well...mum always praises my cooking so it can't be that bad. "
But what did Alec like to eat? He looked like the salad type and Gwen hated salads. She was a beef person. Leo even called her ' The Carnivore '.
Alec spread his arms on the bed and opened his eyes when he didn't feel Gwen. He narrowed his eyes as he looked around the room and yawned as he dragged himself out of bed. He had to get a doctor to check on Gwen. He stretched his tired muscles. Her sleepwalking was making him sleep like a watch dog.
" Will I be getting up this early for the rest of my life? " He stopped himself. Rest of his life...with her. He pictured his closet full of her clothes , her getting out of his shower every single morning...having her in his arms every night.
" Get a hold of yourself Alec..." He ran his fingers through his hair.
He threw on a shirt and headed downstairs. He was still sleepy but an alluring aroma made him alert. He followed the smell to the kitchen and stopped when he saw Gwen in an apron. She looked beautiful...well...she looked sexy. Just the thought of her stripping it off made his vision blurry.
She saw him standing there with his arms crossed and a smirk on his lips.
" I made breakfast. Come try it and tell me what you think." She held his hand and led him to the dinning table.
Alec viewed the feast laid out before him. Well , yes , they did have sumptuous breakfasts but they were foods of different varieties. He looked at the table and he couldn't identify any other meal other than beef or pork or chicken. Meat loaf , steak , bacon , sweet and sour pork , chicken wings , pork ribs...he was tired just looking at them.
" I didn't know what you liked so I made all that I could. " Gwen was a bit nervous. She'd never cooked for anyone other than Louis and her mum. " Try some. "
" It looks...uhm...over whelming. " Alec forced a smile as she heaped his plate. He wasn't a fan of food. He didn't know why but since his childhood , he practically ate just to stay alive otherwise...eating wasn't necessary.
" I noticed that you barely touch any food so today , you have to...for me." She batted her eyes and pouted. " If you get half way through it...I'll give you dessert as a reward. " She winked .
She didn't need to say more. Alec forced that food down his throat but he had to admit , it tasted delicious. He was nearly halfway when he heard his tummy grumble...and not in a good way. He stopped and looked at the fork at the entrance of his mouth. It had pork on it. He sniffed it and his eyes widened.
" Gwen , did you happen to add soy sauce to this ? "
" Yes...it's my special ingredient. " Gwen was proud of herself. " Is anything wrong ? "
Alec quickly put the fork down and in a flash , he was off to his room. Gwen was shocked . Was something wrong with the food ? No...not possible. She took a bite from her plate and savoured it. The food was good. Then what was wrong with him?
" Ma'am , I was trying to tell you this but you were so excited that you didn't listen. " Rosa helped her clear the table. " Alec and soy sauce...dont mix. "
Gwen's brows knitted. " What do you mean? "
" Whenever he eats anything with soy sauce , he get an allergic reaction and stomach trouble."
Gwen's jaw dropped. What had she done! At first she felt bad , but then she wanted to laugh. She followed him upstairs to his bedroom and knocked on the door.
" Alec ? I'm sorry...I had no clue about your allergy. " She could hear sounds of stomping and drawers opening and shutting. " Are you okay? "
" I'm fine...I just...give me a minute."
Gwen waited a long while and she was starting to worry. She was seated on the ground next to the door. He'd taken so long...Did he faint or something?
As she was thinking , the door screeched open and she looked up at him. He'd taken a bath and was clad in a navy blue suit. He had a face mask on with dark sunglasses and he wrapped a scarf around his neck. You could barely see his face.
Gwen blinked a few times as he helped her up.
" Can I see ? " She stretched her hand to the sunglasses but she didn't take them off without his consent." Can I ? "
" Sure." Alec nodded.
She took the glasses off then the mask. She took a step back and carefully looked at him. His cheeks were swollen and red like the rest of his face. She came close to him and cupped his plump cheeks.
" I'm so sorry...but..." She burst out in laughter and Alec raised his brow in surprise. He didn't want to speak much because his face hurt like a bitch.
" You look like a cute chubby anime cartoon." Gwen was gasping for air as she laughed. " You're so adorable! "
" I'm going to work. " Alec glared at her.
" Okay...okay..." Gwen held her breath and fought the laughter. She had tears in the corners of her eyes. " I won't laugh..."
But looking at him made her face itch with laughter and in no time , she was shaking with laughter. Alec's lips slowly curved upwards and he found himself laughing along with her.
" Don't worry , you look so attractive right now. You're literally oozing with seduction. " Gwen poked his cheek and he winced. " Sorry! "
Leo slowly parked outside the enormous gates and called Gwen. In a short while she came out of those gates. Leo felt his insides light up when he saw her. Her beauty always took him by surprise. It was like he saw her for the first time every time. She was in a dark blue jumpsuit with boots on and her hair was left free as it swam in the wind. She got into his car and put her arms around his neck and hugged him. Leo hugged her back and breathed in the scent of her hair.
" I missed you. " Gwen pulled away and patted his shoulder.
" I missed you more." Leo pulled her cheek. " Let's go? "
Gwen nodded and the car started.
