**One Month Later**
I followed behind Michael, pushing Amelia in her stroller. I couldn't see Thomas in front of us, but I could hear him chanting, "Ma-Ma-Ma," the newest word in his ever-expanding arsenal. Both babies impressed me every day with their vocabulary. We had been working with our new nanny, Mrs. Dubois, and she had also taught them many signs to express their wants and needs. They were like sponges, soaking up everything we said and did. After Mrs. Dubois had baby sat for us that one night, we knew we needed to make her part of our family. Hre husband had recently passed away, so she agreed to come with us wherever we went.
