While editing what was originally Act 33, I had 14 chapters altogether. WHEW! Well, that's a bit much, so I decided to break Act 33 into Act 33 and Act 34. Which works out great because I did want an act with war in the title. Funny how editing makes things work.
So, whew… whew… WOOOOO! Decisions were made. You don't think I was not gonna include Gordon? Gordon is a man who has transcended time and just wants to discover the universe at this point, so he runs off with Big Venus into the vast unknown while Angel heads back to the world to help restore Paradigm.
Gordon was always an interesting character. Alex firmly believed that his father lost his memories, but I highly doubt it. Gordon seemed to know what was going on and when, how… the man knew more than he let on. If Roger had been his "son," I think he would've been more forthcoming with his memories. But then again, we wouldn't have Roger Smith if Gordon had "raised" him.
Music has played a big role in writing this series. I'm telling you, the final segment of the battle with Big Gamma, play "Perfect Time" featuring Eliana from Seven Deadly Sins. It got my blood pumping. 7 minutes was key as I kept listening to this and timing the battle to the music. Also, it makes a great running song as well, LOL! The ending, play "Tears" from The Big O OST vol. 1 and segway into "The Way" from Xenoblade Chronicles X and just imagine the characters greeting people they care about after the battle and just enjoying the night sky full of stars and the moon.
I always pictured Lucille burning her uniform after changing into plain civilian clothes and throwing the angel wings medal from her hat, after crumpling into a ball, into the sea. Then she frees her braid and her hair is now flowing freely as she walks back to the tent where Dastun and Angel are coordinating efforts to help those affected by the battle. Only, upon entering, she sees they are leaning against each other, asleep, exhausted from the day and throws a blanket over them. Angel wakes briefly to realize what she has done and smiles. Dr. Plebanski and Carlye are sharing a cigarette, watching the kids play outside under the stars as their parents come and get them. Norman, taking care of the smaller repairs on Big O, with a smile on his face, thanking him for protecting the master of the house. Roger and Dorothy, sitting underneath the stars, until Roger gently picks up Dorothy and takes her to the bedroom for some well needed make up extracurricular activities. *winks*
But even so, we have wrapped up the Preservation Arc. And now we begin the Epilogue Arc. We have 5 more acts to go. Again, I appreciate your support, patience, kindness, and love for the series. It means the world to me. I hope you will continue the journey with me until the very end.
Until next time friends,
Love,
