Chapter 1 - Bring me foods

In a remote area a little away from the city.

For forests, trees were very important as they help maintain air humidity, provide shade, act as windbreaks, and many more, but right now, one of them was serving as a punching bag to release some anger for a young man.

"Damn it!" he shouted. "Just why? WHY?!"

This youngster's hands were bleeding from punching a tree without protection.

If anyone from the city saw this, he would be shocked to see Angar, a member of the prestigious Wadyn family, in such a state.

After all, he was well known for his prideful and hot-blooded temperament. Although his behavior has angered many people in the past, mostly because many women fell for his charming face and blonde hair, no one has dared to offend someone from such a powerful family.

But alas, things might be different now.

Two days ago, the magic crystal used for testing one's talent with magic, revealed his zero talent for magic. This caused Wadyn, one of the most powerful families to become a laughingstock of the whole continent.

As a result, they disowned him and publicly stated that they had nothing to do with him from then on.

This was so unfair. It wasn't supposed to be that way!

No, he was supposed to become as strong as a guild master, and then challenge the Demon King Dragon to obtain its blood to melt the eternal ice keeping Ligh, his childhood friend sealed.

"I refuse to accept this!" Angar continued punching the tree. Traces of his fists on the wood could now be seen.

"Well, what do we have here? Such a fierce pair of red eyes..." an elderly voice rang in his mind.

"Who—"

"The tree has done nothing to you... I feel some pity for it."

"I don't give a sh*t about who you are. It's none of your business!" Angar exclaimed.

"Oh? I see...." the old man said. "I originally wanted to help you unlock your special body constitution so that you could use magic just like your peers but since it's none of my business..."

"W-What did you s-say?" he asked in a shaky voice. A glimmer of hope lit up inside him.

"Unlike others, you have the Heavenly Golden Void Body, an Ultra class rank body constitution. It's no wonder that a mere magic crystal from a mortal world couldn't reflect your true potential. Also, you can't use magic at the moment because your special constitution needs to be awakened."

"In exchange for your help, what do you want? Is it money, fame, or treasures? I will give you anything you wish to have as long as it is within my power. Although I was kicked out of that trash family, I still have some of my assets with me."

"Ahahah!" the old man laughed. "A mortal boy like you will never be able to fulfill my wish. Heck, even this whole world cannot fulfill it!"

"For now, just do as I say. You see that cave over there in front of you? I want you to bring 5 pounds of food inside every day until I tell you to stop."

'What kind of bullshit is this? How will he help me awaken my body constitution with normal foods? Isn't it just for his appetite?'

Angar felt like being manipulated, but since the mysterious old man seemed knowledgeable about his condition and could use telepathy, which was an ability he has never heard of, he gritted his teeth, "Fine. However, if I find out that you were lying to me, I will hire the best mercenaries to hunt you down to the end of the world."

"Who do you think I am? I was a Supreme existence among Immortals. If I start cheating on a junior for some food, I won't have any face left. I haven't eaten anything for thousands of years, so how do you expect an old man like me to start working with an empty stomach?"

"..."

Back in the city, Angar was walking in direction of the best restaurant in the city. After all, what if the old man changed his mind if he brought him disgusting food?

To the current him, paying a little more money wasn't a problem if it meant he would be able to use magic in the future.

"Look! Isn't that trash Angar who was expelled from his family?!"

"What a disgrace! I am starting to think that he isn't a true member of the Wadyn family since anyone born from a mage is capable of using magic..."

A duo of young men around his age approached him. They stood out from the crowd with their expensive-looking outfits.

"What do you want?" Angar asked in an aggressive tone.

"Oh, nothing. We were just wondering how you were doing. You know the world is suddenly more difficult when we don't have a powerful family behind us..."

"Yes, we are just worried about you."

The two people in front of him were those who had upset him in the past. As a result, their family sent them to the Devil's land for a month as punishment for offending him.

The Devil's land was a place full of evil creatures such as demons, ghosts, evil souls, and many more things.

From their tone, if he couldn't detect any sarcasm from their words, then he must have something wrong in his brain.

If a person was sent there, there was a possibility that he could turn into an evil entity due to mental demons whose strength was strengthened thanks to the evil energy in the environment.

Thus, this place was commonly used as a punishment to discipline youngsters.

'That trash must be seeking revenge on me now that I have left my family.'

Glaring at them, he said before walking away, "Leave me alone. I don't have time to waste with you."

"Who do you think you are!"

"Do you think you are still the Angar from the Wadyn family? Know your place!"

Angered by his words, both of them used their magic to attack him. One threw a fireball while the other one raised his hand with cold steam, intending to grab his neck.

'How despicable, using magic on those who can't. However, this is what people like them would do. I am not even surprised.'

As if he couldn't care less about their small magic, Angar avoided the fireball and smashed toward the person who wanted to grab him.

When his fist collided with the palm, an intense cold feeling when through his body for a few seconds. Angar felt as if he had caught the flu, his body was shivering.

But his opponent was in a worse situation than him.

"Aaargh!" the youngster shouted in pain.

His hand was broken!

'Wasn't that guy supposed to be unable to use magic?! How did he break my hand with a punch?!'

"R-Retreat! J-Just you wait! You will pay for this!"

"Shit!"

Seeing his friend's broken hand, the other man didn't dare to stay around any longer.

"Hmpf!" Angar harrumphed. "I have been training martial art for almost a decade. How does a mere Novice mage dare to fight me? Pathetic trash."

After saying this, he resumed his trip toward the Flying Phoenix restaurant.
