After tailing Carmen and Ray till they took the last turn, they still hadn't come up with a way to separate them, but it seemed like they were on good terms with the heavens as Carmen suddenly walked into a house leaving Ray outside.
With that out of the way, they only had to think of a way to draw Ray into the alley to them, and when Jake finally came up with something, one of his minions tripped on another and they both fell on some discarded toys.
Jake cursed internally and was about to have an outburst but controlled himself to see if he had lost his prey.
Amazingly, the boy seemed to be a curious little duck as he heard his footsteps approaching.
It drew closer until they met face to face.
