Ray sat cross-legged on his bed with his eyes closed. It had Just been some minutes since Sylph left and he has been in this position since then. Although he wanted to get rid of the abyssal, he didn't find fighting something invisible and at night a wise choice.
Still, he couldn't let her get injured or even possibly die. At least not yet and he had many reasons for this.
'Why does she have to be so stubborn?' He sighed. He wondered what he might gain for risking his life to fight against the abyssal. But he couldn't find any. Not until....
"Wait! Yes! If I'm able to defeat it, my ranking will rise along with my chances of participating in the raid. What have I been thinking? I have to defeat as many powerful abyssals as I can." Sigh. "But fighting it in the morning would have been much better."
After giving it some thoughts, he came to his conclusion. "Well, I hope it would make me go all out. I haven't done that in months."
