The concert was a hit . Especially for Rose because at the end of the concert she had received the text she had been waiting for .
Dr. Juniper had agreed to let her work as an intern in the 'Heal Touch Hospital' . She had been doing nothing but studying these 3 years. It was after all the most productive and effective way to escape what had been clutching her heart . So she had studied a lot of medicine these years helping her to be a bit ahead of her peers .
Her good grades and regular self had impressed Dr. Juniper and he was ready to take her in as an intern even before she was qualified for one only if she was able to clear the exam he would personally set for her .
She was fine with that as she had already done half of it in her school and some more merely out of curiosity. After all ,schools in India had a higher level of studies for younger generation as compared to Calgary schools .So she and Amelia were already familiar with a lot of the syllabus they were doing in their first semester here .
This wouldn't pose a problem for her . She had always wanted to follow her Uncle Ben to help those in need .The best way she could think was to help them with the least basic first aid for free at their doorstep or in their locality . For this she needed experience, she could not just risk their lives , so she decided to give it a shot and ask Dr. Juniper if he was interested in helping out .
She had heard he really believed in charity and helping those in need . Many times he had paid the hospital fees for those in need .Dr. Juniper was really impressed by the determination of this young girl. He felt nice knowing there were people who thought just like him , it had been long since he met one of these kinds. He was ready to give this girl the chance or else he would regret this his whole life .
Rose had suggested this to others in her group too but Amelia had already signed for some guitar classes she wanted to take since she was 14 and only now did she get the chance . Stephanie was already in the ballete club in the college which often went on short tours which made it impossible for her to attend any regular classes. Catherine couldn't afford it. After all her family had to manage not only the fees of two children but also give them minimal monthly allowance. They could afford just this so both Catherine and Carlos had to do some sort of part time jobs even though Carlos also played in the Basketball team for the school along with Ryder who was the captain and so couldn't assist Rose .
Ryder had become particularly fond of little Rose .He saw his little sister in her whom he had lost before she was even born , a miscarriage. He never got attached to the child much but he always wanted a little sister since then . Rose made him feel need to protect her . Even though she was capable enough to do so herself , she was smart , confident and quick witted , but somehow her pure heart and innocence made him protective .He would have definitely taken the offer if it would have been possible for him.
So she had applied alone and getting a positive reply seemed almost impossible, but it seems she was blessed to have got the opportunity. The meeting was supposed to be this Monday, so she dragged all her friends to shop something appropriate for the occasion to nearby stores . She wanted everything to be perfect.
" Oh this red dress is perfect . It suits your name and will hug your curves just at the right places "
" Never ! Roe take a look at this shrug . It'll pull so well with that favourite top of yours ."
" Oh Shush you both !! You don't have a single pence of fashion sense . Look at this plaid maroon skirt and black top , it'll match so well with her long hair ."
" The skirt is too short "
" The shrug is too plain"
" The dress is too revealing "
The three of them huffed and went back to the stands. Rose who was currently sitting with her elbows perched on her knees and her head in her hands sighed loudly .She had given up trying to persuade them out of this shopping spree.She already regretted asking for their help .
Then the only ray of hope entered through the glass doors with confident strides which made everyone look at her in awe .
" Meri !!! Save me Meri !! Save me !! These three have been selecting dresses since the last two hours and disapproving each without even letting me put my opinion . They have lost it !! " The poor girl stomped her foot exasperated.
Letting out a small laugh " I'm here Eve . Come on let's get you set for Monday."
She instantly took off raking through the sections picking some on the way . She came out a while later and made Rose stand in front of the floor length mirror .Putting each dress in front of her and placing one on her once in a while , Claire finally chose a cream coloured dress which reached a little below the knees hugging Rose's curves in a subtle way . Loose cream coloured lace flowed down on top of the under dress and was tied to her waist by a sleek cream belt .
It gave a look of elegance and professionalism to Rose . Just perfect for the interview. The three gawked at her choice glaring at the dress mentally scolding it for never approaching them . This was what they had been looking for since the past few hours .

" Oh !! This is it . This is what I wanted . Oh ! My Knight in Shinnig Armour, where were you ? Your damsel had been distressed all this while ."
Claire chuckled at her antics and dramatic ways .Rose was so proud of her .She had transformed herself from the quiet introvert girl who no one knew to the confident girl who everyone wanted to know and she felt extremely lucky to have seen it with her own eyes .
What she didn't know is that Claire was able to so that only because she had her support since the beginning.She knew no matter what , Rose and Amelia wouldn't leave her side . So she didn't fear the back fall of her transformation ' cause she knew both of them will be there to hold her , just like true friends always do .
Finally Rose was over with her shopping and settled down to study for the exam she had to write on Monday.
Standing in front of the hospital itself felt so surreal. Rose was nervous now but a gentle squeeze from Amelia made her smile . Ryder ruffled her hair wishing her luck .She frowned settling her hair back and swatted his arm lightly ..He just laughed a bit and gave her the push she drearly needed .
" You can do it Roe ! You've prepared well . Don't be nervous at all . Just hold your chin high and be confident. Not that you are not but just be yourself." Amelia rambled on . She was so similar to Aunt Avi in some aspects .
Ryder cupped her mouth refraining her from talking any further and signalled Rose to go in giving her a small smile.
Amelia tried to move his hand away while simultaneously glaring at him . He just looked down at her with an amused expression .Rose couldn't help but laugh at them while going through the glass sliders .
" Excuse me "
" Good morning. I'm Melini. How may I help you ? "
" Hi Melini ! I'm Rose Wilder. I believe I have a meeting scheduled with Dr.Juniper today ."
" Give me a second ." Melini typed away at her computer . Then returning the sweet smile she said . " Yes ! Rose Wilder , 9 a.m. . Take the first right turn in that hallway and go to the third elevator . You'll find Dr. Juniper on the 8 the floor . All the best ! "
" Thanks a ton !" She smiled widely and went over to the elevators . The receptionist was pleasantly surprised at the sweet girl . She normally had to deal with frantic people looking for their loved ones or bratty people who worked here .Rose was a breath of fresh air .
As the elevator tinged announcing her arrival , Rose took a deep breath
